I completely understand management having to weigh the economics of keeping the halfway house open during the fall - totally get it. But there's no getting around the fact that the lack of food/drink at the course places Island Hills a distant second to other area courses that keep their halfway houses open during fall play. We appreciate the course being open in early October, regardless!

It was like an old warehouse setting with old used 2nd hand decor. We were crammed right next to 2 other parties. So as families arrived they were putting all the presents on the first table-so you didnt know where your party was. You arrive your handed your envelope and pretty much your on your own. We were short a few cards/bands and when we told them they put ANOTHER $100 on our bill. We booked a CHILDS party and told them this. Got there and was told cant do the Ax throwing because its for 16 and up. Was bowling and asked "3" times do you want the pizzas put in YES!!!! So over an hour later they finally arrived. During the party never seen an employee to maybe ask if we needed anything or how was the party-do we have any suggestions--Nothing. -When I did need anything I had to go looking for an employee and personally they seemed slow at caring or wanting to help. There is all young kids working and they seemed very bored with their jobs. After seeing the reviews and ZERO response to the reviews from the owner I think this place will eventually not make it. I have so many great ideas that would turn this place around -but I couldn't even find anyone to share my thoughts with. So I wish them the best and hope they take a serious look at making this a more organized and desirable place. It has potential.
