The back is flatter and more boring... But the front is a lot of fun to play. Lots of cool doglegs, blind tee shots and approaches, amidst the woods. I completely understand management having to weigh the economics of keeping the halfway house open during the fall - totally get it. But there's no getting around the fact that the lack of food/drink at the course places Island Hills a distant second to other area courses that keep their halfway houses open during fall play.
