One of the last old school arcades left in the area. I've been coming here since the early 90's, and it's just as fun today as it was back then. They have endless arcades, pinball machines, redemption games, and kiddie games for all ages to enjoy. They also have air hockey, joust, and mini golf. There's not too much else you could ask for. Oh boy... I'll be fair to this place because when I looked up "kids activities" this was one of a VERY small list of places that popped up. The reviews were terrible but for an active toddler needing to burn off some energy, this is what we have. My expectation were pretty low for Mega Play and they basically met them. This is an OLD facility. Visibly it looks dated. Everywhere. There are handwritten signs about pricing all over. No employees monitoring anything really, just a couple working the food counter. It was crowded in the play zone which is where our 15 month old was going. Almost all of the toys are broken, without exception. Seems like they got a lot of stuff from a yard sale and used it. The toys were also visibly dirty. Wife took our daughter to the bathroom and says one of the stalls is missing a door. Come on... use this place as your last resort. read more

My rating will remain the same, but only because the kids had fun. We came in today, 1/19/20 to get the kids outta the house for awhile. The weather is freezing, so any outdoor activities were out of the question. It had been over a year & a half since we last stopped in Mega Play, and recent reviews on Google lead me to believe that the establishment was "under new management". The reviews cited that the MP team was trying to "clean up the place & adding new equipment", so we opted to take our chances once again. Upon entrance, I didn't immediately notice anything that really stood out as "new".. mostly the same OLD games they've always had, plus a few "new to them" (used) games. We went directly to the toddler area so our kids could play for a bit before burning through the tokens we had loaded onto our play cards. Walking into the play area, I noticed that the gate leading in/out was poorly "latched". The mechanism they have to hold the gates together is not nearly as efficient as one would expect to help contain kids in the designated play area. Just a slight push outward would open the gates, thus creating a safety hazard for children whose parents aren't watching them like they should (ex: parents having their faces buried in cell phones, which we saw plenty of today.. sad). I would suggest a latch-type lock, which a parent can easily open from the outside, but a child wouldn't be able to reach from the inside. The majority of the kids toys available were broken or extremely dirty. Especially the ball pit.. the balls just SCREAMED unsanitary. I immediately felt guilty for having my kids playing in the pit, but I couldn't tell them that. All I could so was think of how I would immediately be giving baths once we made it back home. After what felt an eternity, we decided to make our way around to the game area. We spent a significant amount of time up towards the front, where the majority of childrens ride-ons & games are kept. My eldest daughter was able to win two stuffies from the claw machine, and she was lucky to have managed that as the machine itself was almost completely baron of prizes. The other games we played seemed okay for the most part, while some were pretty janky & wouldn't dole out our earned tickets. Bummer! After spending about half of our purchased tokens, we decided to take a bathroom break & order some food from the concessions stand. I can't speak for the mens room, but walking into the womens bathroom, I was slightly surprised to see that nothing whatsoever had changed from our last visit. Extremely unclean, horrible choice in paint color, no paper towel dispenser & a very weak hand dryer. They had a large empty countertop, which I'm assuming they had for parents to change their infants? No baby changing station to be seem. That should be standard in a place where it's supposed to be about kids & families! The food: we ordered a whole pepperoni pizza to share amongst our 4 children, as well as a pretzel w/ cheese. The pizza tasted good enough, while the pretzel was hard as a rock & the cheese ice cold :( the pitcher of Hi-C even tasted funny. Bleh. Following our food fix, we went off to spend the remainder of our tokens. We steered away from the front this time & towards the back with the racing games, shooting games, pinball machines, air hockey, pool tables, etc. This is where we quickly ate thru what was left on our cards, because all the games back there took anywhere from 2-5+ tokens each. I haven't been to this place in years but I did go with my dad today and it was so much fun. Most of their games are from my childhood years, but they also have old ones like Dragon's Lair and Tron. We played games like Gauntlet and Hydro Thunder (staples from my younger years) but also played Dark Knight and South Park pinball. I love going to the arcade and the only bad thing about Mega Play is that it's kind of old and the bathrooms aren't exactly nice, but I highly recommend going with some of your high school friends and you'll have a blast. I have been taking my family to Megaplay for many years now but I have decided I will no longer give them my money after I witnessed a general manager (old lady with white hair) scream at each of her employees for about an hour on saturday. I have been able to look past the outdated carpets, bathrooms and dusty stuff in general but my daughter crying because of the scary lady behind the counter tipped the scale. Hospitality is important in running a business and I wouldn't have my managers screaming at my employees. Especially not in front of children or customers in general. Two stars because all the other employees were very kind. read more

My family loves this place. Plenty of ticket type games for the little ones, putt-putt, and a ton of old school arcade games that I remember from my high school days. The prices make this a good family outing during the winter months. Pretty much the same type of food you would find at a bowling alley, and not horrible. Overall we enjoy coming here to have some good family fun and not break the bank; there aren't many places around here that allow you to have a night with the family and some entertainment on the cheap. read more

Was extremely disappointed in this establishment's understanding of children with Autism and other sensory disorders. Playground equipment was in horrible shape. How this place has 4/5 stars is beyond me. It earned its 1 star because the staff was friendly. Now, they have fun games, but this place is so nasty and dirty, it's not remotely worth it. I'll post my pictures if I can. I'm pretty certain they never clean ever. It appears that way anyway. First, when you walk into this place you are hit in the face with the smell of moth balls. It is then quickly apparent that a cleaning product has probably never touched any part of this place. The kids play area toys have so much built up grime on them. There is sticky black stuff on the carpet in the kids play area, and horrible black staining almost everywhere else. The play mats are black with grime. The bathroom wall and floor had what looked to be months of built up spilled soap from the soap dispenser. Ok, now here is the kicker...the last time we came here was about 3 years prior, ( it was gross then too, but I decided to try again) 3 years ago, there was a piece of chewed gum behind some netting on the floor in the play area that my daughter was trying to get to. Yesterday when we went, that piece of chewed gum was still there! Even my 5 year old was asking why everything was so dirty. Definitely not stepping foot back in this place. read more

A nice little spot to take the kids. There are several different video games, kids play area, jousting and put put. A note, their personal pan pizzas are just $3.70 and they are pretty big. Definitely a fun family place when you need to get the kids out of the house. My husband and I used to go alone before we had kids and it gets boring. Same games, kinda outdated. After we had our baby and after she grew some, we had a blast watching her play and run. It was like experiencing MegaPlay in a whole new light. Cool Retro Arcade! If you put $20 on their card, you can play games virtually for hours. They have a wonderful pinball collection, mini-golf, inflatable play zone for young children, and so many retro video games like PacMan, 1984, Paper Boy, racing games, Tron, Mortal Combat....games I haven't seen in 20 years that I never thought I'd play again. Games are extremely affordable. We always have a good time when we go, for very little cash. Keep it up, Mega Play! Don't ever change. read more

I love the variety of games especially the old school games that they have. Had to knock a star off for the toys in the children's being dirty and broken. There is also an issue with bathroom sinks not working. Other than that I love visiting this place by myself or with my little brothers. read more
