The Friday walleye dinner was very good second only to the excellent service. Always a pleasant experience for dinner

I golfed here 10 years ago and course was average at best for a 9 hole. Golfed today and what an improvement. New owner pouring money into it. Clubhouse and parking currently under remodel. 18 public courses in Jackson County and very few are actually trying to improve. Three are on their death bed but not Deer Run! Course improved. Fairways have very few weeds and greens are excellent. Best improvement are the sand traps. New 'sugar sand' imported from Lake Michigan. Nearly same quality the pros play from. Almost makes me want to hit from sand! More work to be done so I am looking forward to seeing course next year! read more

We enjoy going to the restaurant. New owners recently. Could use a good dusting of light fixtures and ceiling fans, maybe some new chairs.

Return visit. No one working here is wearing a mask. They have replaced the dirty carpet. Great improvement. Service is very slow. We have bden waiting for our salad and sandwich for 45 minutes read more

Had fish dinner at DR Friday evening. Delicious. Excellent service even though it was very busy. High recommend.

The new owners have greatly improved the golf course and surrounding buildings. The kitchen has improved and the new enclosed porch for eating is a definite upgrade. They appear to have stopped working on it though since some of the trim is missing on one wall. Not sure what's going on with that. However the reason that I can't give it more than 2 stars is because the carpeting in the main dining facility is disgustingly dirty. With all of the improvements and investment made, we can't understand why they don't pull that carpet out. Even Concrete flooring would be better. Hard to bring guests here when it looks so filthy. read more

We use to visit the golf course frequently, local and convenient. After visiting last night they won't be getting our service the rest of the summer. 2 people wanted to go golf 9 holes. We walked in at 7 and they apologized and said they aren't sending anyone out after 7pm. Unfortunate because we had been standing in the parking lot for the previous 10 minutes - had there been a sign we might have walked in sooner. Being local we typically spend 2-3 nights a week there while it is warm. But we will be looking elsewhere. read more

One of the best 9 hole golf courses I have played. Awesome greens, beautiful fairways and well groomed sand traps you can actually hit out of. The new owner has really step up and is renovating the course to a new and improved corse, Many new things to come for this lake side community. Oh and by the way Food is awesome..... wish this place was close to home. Thank you Bill for all your hard work to give us a great course to play.... read more
