Talk to the Saline Rec Center if you wish to rent the pavilion. There is a kiddie playground. The sign says "no dogs" but we decided that the rule was because someone didn't clean up after their dog. While nobody else was there, we used the playground equipment for a little informal agility training. Don't tell anyone! There is a dog park with a fence. This is the only place in the park where you are allowed to have your dog off a leash. One side of the park is the Saline River, so if your dog is a major swimmer, s/he might escape the fence by swimming into the river. This is a really huge park. Lots of room to walk and run. The annual Celtic festival is held here.

It's located not too far off from 94 and by 275. Not a far jog from home for us either. It was a nice for us and not a hot day for golfing. Its $16/pp for walking 9 holes or about $25/pp for a cart. Our foursome wanted to get in a walk. It's one of the nicer metro park courses I have been too in a while. The holes are pretty easy though. The course in general was quite open and there is not a lot of foliage or obstacles in the way. Allows for any kind of swing or slices.

Poop bag dispensaries in trash cans are spaced all around as well as benches to sit on. The entryway is a nice concrete double-gated entry that has exits to both the big and small dog park. You can park right next to the dog park. And you can easily walk around the interior of the fence line although it is quite a distance

The South Branch of the River Raisin meanders through the park year round. Birds are singing and small wild animals getting a drink of water. During the fall, the leaves turn yellow, orange and red. It's our favorite park in Adrian. The park is a part of the Kiwanis hiking trail that starts at the southern part of Adrian to the town of Tecumseh, MI, about 10 miles away. The part is well maintained. During the winter time, it is covered with several inches of snow. The parking lot is behind the Lenawee County Jail, manned by the Lenawee County Sheriff.
