Been here a couple of times and it's always a fun time. They do have a $5.00 fee at entrance and you can e joy live music out under the pergola and watch a sunset. They have nice options for beer on tap and ciders. They also have small bites like wraps and charcuterie portions. There is always a food truck but the lines are long and up to 35minutes. Came here a few weeks ago. The Code Blu band was playing and they did such a great job, we had so much fun. My favorite Cider now is the SNAKE BITE, which is the mix of the Apple Cider and beer. The weather was perfect too. Did not have their food truck but was told it was just ok by our friends. I did try the chicken Caesar wrap inside and it was really good. They charge $5.00 at the entrance and they do have outdoor potty's but no running water they only have hand sanitizer which I thought was a downer. read more

This place is amazing! I've had a few different experiences here. I attended a special dinner in September called "Feast in the Field--A Taste of Normandy", where they teamed up with Grand River Brewery for a multi course French meal with wine pairings. It was phenomenal! A beautiful evening in their field under the stars and twinkle lights. Beautiful atmosphere. I just returned a second time last week for a wine tasting and then we reserved an igloo and it was so fun! Phenomenal wine and delicious charcuterie. Excellent and friendly service. Everyone who works here is so kind. I love their merchandise too. I bought a sweatshirt and it's seriously the softest sweatshirt I've ever owned. I bought a blanket and candle too and I really like them. I have enjoyed every wine I've tried here. I definitely plan on returning for more events. read more

Cherry Creek is a nice place to relax and enjoy some wine tasting. The outdoor area was spacious and inviting. The inside is attractive and welcoming. The renovation of an old school house is very interesting. You can see many of the structures original features. The staff here were very friendly and helpful when exploring their wines. We did try a flight of dry white and red wines. We really did t find any wines that grabbed our attention and appeal. Give them a try. I'm sure you will find something that appeals to you. read more

I'm not a fan of cherries, but the cherry wine here changed my mind. It's smooth, not too sweet, and clearly a Michigan classic for a reason. The old schoolhouse setting is charming and open year-round. We visited during a chilly week and loved that both indoor and outdoor seating were available. They also offer hard cider, craft beer, and a solid variety of cafe options, which made it easy to please everyone in our group. They do a big carry out business, and we took a bottle to go as well. Definitely worth a stop, especially as the weather gets nicer and more events become available! read more

If you are in Irish Hills area, I highly recommend visiting here. They have indoor and outdoor seating options- a perfect place to spend a nice MI day. They offer tastings and flights. They have wine and cider. I enjoyed both. You can also mix and match which is a great way to try if you aren't sure you like cider or wine. The wines were good- a nice balance of sweets and dry's. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They do offer some snacks as well, which were really quite good. read more

After wanting to check out Cherry Creek Cellars for years, I finally stopped by recently and love how charming the place is. Located in a former schoolhouse just off of M-12, it has been beautifully converted into a destination worth visiting. I was on my way to the nearby lake and wanted to grab a gift for our hosts. I chose a red and a white wine and a large charcuterie board to share. The white, "Summer Breeze," was a smooth one that wasn't too sweet or too dry. I didn't try the red, "Old School", but the red lovers who did told me it wasn't good and that they wouldn't recommend it. The charcuterie board was a nice touch but really disappointing and small for the price. Overall Cherry Creek is worth visiting for the local wines, welcoming atmosphere, and even the huge patio where food trucks and bands often gather on weekends. read more

Cherry Creek is wonderful. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted to an amazing view: a quaint, rustic, wood-paneled former school house, complete with the bell. I'm far from a sommelier, but their cherry wine is my favorite cherry wine ever, and I've been to every traverse city winery! The food is wonderful; they've been featured on JTV several times. The margherita flat bread is to die for. I strongly recommend adding the pepperoni to it, which they cure and prepare in the kitchen. As a single man who works from home and likes to get out to read (while also enjoying tasty treats and drinks), it's the perfect ambiance. The staff is so amazing. They're all knowledgeably on the offerings, incredibly patient, and all-around good people. CALLOUT: tips are cash only but there is an ATM about a quarter mile down the road in a gas station. Tip your bartenders and wine servers, please. read more

Have been going to Cherry Creek for years and love how it has grown - great selection of wine, wine slushees and now cider & beer, too. March + local goods available inside. Live music in the back (sometimes cover charge), Saturday yoga, mini glamping area, and more. Tastings , full glasses, and to-go available. Indoor seating available + ample outdoor seating. Only wish was that all samples were done the same -- flights or pour-by-pour -- since each part of our group had different experiences based on bartender (still a GREAT experience, just not timed the same/ sized the same when you go on your own vs are waiting for pours). We took a drive Sunday to take advantage of one of the few beautiful sunny days we have had this spring. We ended up at Cherry Creek Cellars, a favorite of ours. We were happy to try tastings if their new vintages , as always a delightful experience. Desire was outstanding as was Summer Breeze. They also have a wide selection of beers snd ciders. We love the venue and the staff was super friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a treat give them a try. Good wines, sandwiches and appetizers. read more

My first visit was an invitation from a friend that reserved an igloo. There was 7 of us and we were very comfortable and warm. The igloo was a lounge more than a dining area. They are not doing tasting, however, they are serving by the bottle and have a great selection of food. Porta-pottys are available and surprisingly clean (though they still freak me out) We have one server that was running the whole place, so she was spread thin on a Tuesday night. She was a little put off that we were booked for an hour past closing time but she was really nice and helpful. We would have purchased a lot more if she had more help and was able to check on us more often. All in all it was a great place to hang out with my bubble friends, in their outdoor bubble :) The reservation was $100 to make the reservation, however the $100 went towards food and wine. It worked out well. My only point would be to get more comfortable seating and side tables for food and wine. We were juggling a lot. Not enough table space to hold what we ordered. read more

This place is a gem! Typically I'm not a red wine drinker, I enjoy sweet white. HOWEVER! I enjoyed every sample in my flight! And I had some reds, blush, and white! The quality charcuterie board was well made and was enough for the three of us. I'm not only planning another trip out to the area, I'm including this winery in the itinerary! Coming home from the Irish Hills area we decided to drive home US 12. Best decision ever as we found Cherry Creek Winery right off the highway. It was mid-day on a hot Saturday afternoon and it wasn't that busy. The winery is in an old schoolhouse that has a large counter top for tasting and tables set up inside for those that wish to sit or have something to eat. I tried the Wood Duck Riesling, the Lynn Aleksandr Chardonnay, the Lynn Aleksandr Marechal Foch, the Publican Persimmon, and the Lynn Aleksandr Meritage. All are dry wines and were very good. We decided the Meritage was the best and bought a bottle to enjoy later when we arrived home. Our wine server was knowledgeable and friendly. We did not try any of the food. Outside they have a large area with picnic tables and a stage where they music most Thursdays & Fridays. Plus they also do yoga on Saturday mornings. I'm so glad we stopped and checked out Cherry Creek Winery. read more

Outdoor area looks really nice and igloos you can rent for the evening (to use you have to rent). This is for sure a small venue if you have a large group. I really like this winery inside and out. It's an adorable repurposed schoolhouse and is clean and welcoming inside. I saw the sign on the way to another destination and asked my hubby to stop in. We got glasses on our visit so we can return for more sampling. He tried cider and I tried wine. I returned with my 21 yr old with the same tasting flavors. We visited Cherry Creek winery yesterday with a group of family members who had not seen each other for a while, gathering from four different locations across Michigan. This place was perfect! First, those who liked wine said the wine was really good, ranging from sweet and fruity to very dry reds--my husband's preference! I was not feeling like wine so tried their ciders which were outstanding, I highly recommend the Bluebeary! They also serve three different beers and those were well received by our group as well. In addition, we were lucky to find the kitchen open yesterday and tried many of the flatbreads and sandwiches and snacks that they had. Everything was very tasty. The tasting room was large and airy with one inside restroom and two outdoor porta potties which look like they are set up for some of their larger events like their concerts on the weekends. We would definitely return!! read more

I love when we visit Cherry Creek Winery as a large group. Our group goes around big holidays like the Memorial Day, the 4th, and Labor Day. They always have a band on these weekends and we are normally the first ones on the dance floor! After a long day on on of the surrounding lakes I was thrilled when I arrived and saw that they had a Mexican food truck on site (because they do not serve food). This food truck was perfect because everyone needs snacks while drinking. Beware...their drinks are very tasty with high alcohol content. UPDATE: I visited Cherry Creek Winery twice over this past weekend because they had great bands on Friday and Sunday. As I have mentioned in my previous review I love going here for special bands when we are in the area. This weekend I was disappointed. The bands were awesome and we had so much fun! However, when everyone is drinking it is terrible not to have enough facilities for everyone! They have one indoor bathroom inside of the building and only two porta potties outside. I have been going here for several years now on large holidays as I had previously mentioned and they are always so busy. The line for the bathroom went out the door of the building and the outdoor bathroom had an equally long line. As you can see from my pictures it was super busy. There needs to be more porta potties delivered for large events like this. On the other hand, when our group went here on Friday night I was very disappointed with the food truck. After waiting in line for about a half hour it was our turn to order the lady had informed us that they ran out of several items..including just plain chips! Disappointing because my entire group of about 8 people did not end up ordering. Cherry creek normally has a large influx of people to the town during holidays. I wish that they and their vendors would be more equip to handle the mass amounts of people. More food and porta potties please! read more

I came in with my family tonight. We were carded at a tent out front and given wristbands allowing us to drink. When we got to the bar we were carded again by a blonde bartender. My father in law asked why were being carded again if we were carded up front and said he "didn't mean to be rude he was just asking". She replied with "well yeah you're being rude". I tried to apologize for being rude myself but she had an attitude the entire time she was dealing with me even though I was not the one asking the question. When she brought over the box we ordered my father in law tried to apologize himself. She started laying into him and repeatedly telling him he was being rude and started calling him a bad father and saying he was setting a bad example for his children. Afterwards I assume the manager told her to go in the back because we did not see her for the rest of our visit. What we did see were multiple staff members staring at us from the back while pointing and whispering. I don't know if they feel more empowered to act like a bunch of dicks because they aren't working for tips. However I would not recommend asking questions or trying to apologize if your questions seem rude. Definitely don't bring you children otherwise proceed with caution unless you want a bartender insulting your parenting. OBVIOUSLY they are the authority on parenting and wine here. (All of us are well above 21) read more

Its the type of wine you drink if you just want a wine taste with an alcoholic kick. Hung out here one evening while visiting friends nearby, and stopped here for music and some wine enjoyment. I have been to this winery a couple of times on a wine tour. The wine is awesome - especially the cherry wine. They also sale other items like fudge, cherry pepper jelly, and cherry salsa. The atmosphere is very charming because the building was an old schoolhouse complete with a steeple and bell. But when you are trying to cram 30 people on a tour in a one room schoolhouse, I think its time for an addition. read more

On our visit to Jackson, MI wine tasting tour. We decided to stop by here and found that out of all the wineries this wine was the closest to our taste, very good. They had things out to taste ( snick snakes) There was no seating inside however there was a large area outside along with a stage. The building it self is an old school house. very charming. read more

My wife and I had a very nice wine and hard cider tasting at Cherry Creek Cellars with Joe's help. We were visiting the area from Anaheim, Ca. I was pleasantly surprised with some of the red wines. I ended up purchasing a couple of red blends...the Proprietors Reserve (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Fran, Merlo) and the Montage (Cabernet Sauvignon, Chancellor Noir). In the fall my husband and I made a day trip west and stopped by this lovely little winery, which had been suggested by michigan.org on a Fall Colors Tour. We have enjoyed wineries before, but I must admit it was the phrase "and fudgery" that pulled us in. Wine AND fudge? What could be better?! We were delighted by the friendly and knowledgeable salesman, who helped us sample some of their wines. He wasn't pushy, which I have found to be the case at other wineries. He even let us sample some that glorious fudge and some cherry salsa... which we caved and bought because it was delicious. The cherry salsa was gone in two days and I don't think the Butterfinger fudge made it out of the parking lot. Now! The wines were splendid. They have a solid offerings, especially the Raceway Red, which was very well received at a dinner I brought it to. The whites really ended up being more complex flavors, which was nice. I tend not to be a fan of white wines. We bought six bottles and the food and were out the door for under $100. I was SHOCKED at how affordable the wine was. You, with the wine from Kroger. Put that down. Buy something quality and local. The website needs a bit of work, but the winery has it down, solid. If you can, pick up a bottle and give them a shot. The salesman said they have a lot of live music on the weekends in the summer, so you can bet we'll be back! read more

This is an amazing winery - great wines to meet a significant range of palates on a great landscape. I was surprised, being partial to the French style and seeing the range of sweeter options. Order the charcuterie board with goat cheese and tomato chutney.... It's going to change how you eat cheese. They don't sell it, so get out and enjoy it there. read more

I had a wonderful time here with friends on a bachelorette winery crawl. The wines are so delicious and unique, kinds to serve the romantic taste buds of Italy and France. I truly am so grateful to have a beautiful winery in my area that feels like a getaway up north or in a different country.
