I went on a Friday night. small private lot, inside is a dim main room with a bar along one wall, and a patio type area out back. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Several of the customers were rude, but the staff was working through it, and seemed to expect it--I got the impression they were regulars. The beers were all pretty good, reasonable prices, they have a can crimper in addition to growler fills. They use the TV screen menu system so everything is up to date and easy to read. Only snacks are available. There was a two man band when I was there, they did Bob Segar, rockabilly, and Let it Go from Frozen one right after the other. That made me chuckle.

Good beer.

Great place. Very friendly staff. Excellent beer. Every one of the beers I had was excellent. The best was probably the pothole porter. Second was the polar vortex wheat. Very chill environment.

Hands down the best brewery in Jackson. Watch the ABV if you're not used to craft beer.

Stopped into Grand River Brewery - Jackson for the first time last night, expecting a quick dinner,…read moreand left really impressed. The standout was the service. Kristina, the manager, personally stopped by, introduced herself, took our drink order, and gave us some helpful menu recommendations. That personal touch really set the tone. Food was excellent. I had a build-your-own burger that was awesome, and we also had the Rachel, which was fantastic. Drinks were equally strong: beer, cider, and a margarita flight that was a lot of fun. The stout was especially memorable because it reminded me of Lion Stout, which I have not seen in years. That alone gives me a reason to come back. Between the hospitality, the food, and the drinks, this ended up being much more than a simple meal. Also appreciated hearing about their Beer Mug Club and Sunday brunch. We will definitely be back.

I scoured the web for the best sounding wrap I could find and finally set my sights on Grand River Brewery. I ordered a Santa Fe wrap to-go, got there before it was even ready and was home to eat it within 5 minutes. To my dismay they had left the spicy ranch off the wrap. It was dry and unpleasant and that was an unfortunate tell of what was to come. It was accompanied by an odd tasting pickle, which particularly hurt my heart because I am a woman who loves a good pickle. This next part was especially jarring because the ambiance of the restaurant really seemed like they would have good fries, I'm sure they would be good fresh, but the ones I found inside my to-go box were not that. Sad, hard, dry fries that tasted and felt like they had been sitting out for hours. Truly disappointing. In summary, twas certainly a mistake to treat myself to this TWENTY ONE dollar meal that didn't even include a drink...21 dollars for a horrible wrap, horrible fries and a weird pickle. For that price I was really expecting the best wrap I've ever had, I could not have been more let down. My Venmo is grace-shoemaker- if you're feeling sympathetic to my experience. Thanks for tuning into my blog.

This place was very unexpected for the description of pub and pizzeria…read more The atmosphere and ambience is a vibe as soon as you open the door very upscale, clean and inviting. Friendly staff, upbeat, lots of smiles. Server was great she was from Chicago one of my favorite cities. The food is great, cannot say enough about the chicken bacon ranch calzone it's amazing one of the best I've ever eaten. Also have tried the Ruben sandwich with fries. Sandwich was tasty but Extremely small portion for the price and the fries are skinny so eat them fast or they'll get cold quick. Been back 3 times. Placed a to go order on the way home from Ann Arbor and once again it did not disappoint. It was lunchtime on a Wednesday and they were packed with a 25 minute wait time, so glad I had placed a to go order, but that just goes to show you how well they are doing I highly recommend checking them out, I'm definitely gonna mane my way around

I don't say this lightly, because I've been to a lot of pizza places in my life, but this spot…read moreeasily lands in my top three. Top. Three. The place itself is newer, which you can immediately tell from the clean, modern décor and the fact that it doesn't feel like it's been operating unchanged since 1994. It's a great spot to come with friends or family, or to grab a seat and catch a game. In our case, we were taking clients out to eat, and they chose this place, which instantly earned them major points. Excellent pick. Naturally, we ordered appetizers, because skipping apps would be irresponsible. The artichoke and spinach dip was rich, creamy, and dangerously good, and the garlic knots were next-level tasty. Warm, garlicky, and impossible to stop eating. Zero regrets. For the main event, we ordered two pizzas: one Detroit-style (Red Top) and one regular pizza. And wow. Just... wow. The cheese pull on these beauties was absolutely ridiculous, the kind that deserves a slow-motion video. The pizza itself was phenomenal. The crust was crispy yet perfectly chewy, the cheese was hot, melty, and gloriously stringy, and the sauce actually had flavor (which shouldn't be rare, but somehow is). To top it all off, our server was fantastic. Super friendly, genuinely funny, and great with everyone at the table, which always makes the experience even better. Bottom line: incredible pizza, great vibes, awesome service. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. It will not disappoint... unless you hate good pizza, in which case, this place is not for you.
