I can't say enough good things about this place. The beer... top 10 for me in the state of Michigan. And take that seriously as I've visited 106 breweries. The food? Amazing. The chicken salad was crisp and had good flavor. The kielbasa personal pizza was to die for. Pretzel bagel ham sandwich? So good. Just.. everything was perfectly executed and delicious. I've been going here for a while. The beer has really gone down hill over the last year. You can tell by the taste that the lines are dirty. They have way too many beers on tap, and they all taste real similar. They should concentrate on 6-8, And make them quality!! read more

My family and I stopped here for food and drinks. I got the scotch ale and really enjoyed it. I tried the kolsch and liked that as well. The food from Kibby Cobb market next door was really good. There was only one person working so he was slammed but very nice. I would definitely return. read more

We stopped here on day trip to the area. Ironbark is a cool brewery located in a tiny strip plaza. We walked in, they had just opened, and we had the entire place to ourselves. We spent some time speaking with the beertender, who was extremely knowledgeable. We tasted several beers before making our final selection. I fell in love with their peanut butter beer. Normally, I do not drink the heavier stouts, but I couldn't pass this one up. We found a cozy little area to sit down and enjoy each others company. We did not order any food so I can't review their selections. If you happen to be in the area, Ironbark is the place to be. We will most certainly be back. read more

Great Place! Husband and I stopped there while in Jackson visiting friends. Had their beer at a beer fest back in 2017 and it had such an impression, That I knew I had to make it there. It didn't disappoint. We ordered a flight. Each beer was great! But the Gone Nutz Peanut Butter Ale was the BEST. So delicious! Very similar tasting to The Mitten's Peanuts and Cracker Jack. Next favorite was Shortys Double IPA, very light and drinkable for a double. We sat at the bar and chatted with the brewer for a while, great guy. Excellent service, great beer, great place. Kibby kob has always been a staple for me growing up in Jackson county. Once we found out that a brewery was going to be in the strip, we were instantly intrigued. The food is obviously great but the beers are even better!! My husband and I are especially fans of Falling Waters IPA and Spaced Mosaic IPA. read more

The ironbark brewing company is a unique experience. I sipped many flavor of craft brews and my sister ordered a "hard" cider. What a treat. They sell snacks and munchies for all the hungry people. Bathrooms were great. Over all a fun time was had by all. Three stars. read more

Best Scotch Ale ever, imo...almost ends on a caramel note. Porter and Peanut Butter Porter are distinct and deelish.. IPA's are all good, and my usual go to, but their darks are so finely crafted. I wanted to relish this fine array before abandoned after winter for lighter brews. Then we'll go try all those. This brewer is an artist, imho. FAVE! read more

The Iron Bark Brewery in Jackson, MI has really good brews and I really like going there. They have a fun atmosphere and their Thursday night trivia is a lot of fun. However their service is absolutely horrible. Multiple weeks now, my friends and my table has been completely forgotten about. I don't know about any of the other tables, but that, to me, is absolutely ridiculous. In 21 years, I have never been to a restaurant/Brewery where the servers completely forget about a table(s) and openly admit to forgetting about it/them. From my friends and my understanding, they serve their friends of the brewery and tend to neglect the tables of non-regular customers. As my friends and I were leaving last night, we overheard some of the servers out back complaining about the customers complaining. Well, maybe if you provided better service people wouldn't complain. read more

Ahh, after two less than successful visits to other Jackson breweries, we hit the jackpot at Ironbark. The outside strip mall location wasn't the best first impression, but once we walked in, it was a very warm and cozy. Great variety of beer, and they were good. My husband (with Polish heritage) got the Roll Out The Barrel pizza. It changed his life; he's been telling his family about it. I had the Margherita pizza which isn't a true margherita pizza, but creative and tasty. A truly talented man was playing traditional Irish music. What a great night! read more

Only 4 available beers because they were sold out of the rest. Once the beer arrived, it was flat and old tasting. Their food isn't made at this brewery! It is made from a market four doors down and then the lady walked the food down to the brewery(in 20 degree weather). The food was over priced for the quality. Very disappointing. read more

My husband and I stopped in before 5:00 on a Saturday to a relatively empty bar and restaurant area. There was one table who was cashing out when we arrived, and about six or seven people at the bar. We waited about 10 minutes before being waited on, though we were assured the bartender would be right over. No ciders were available so I ordered a water and my husband ordered an 8 oz cream ale. It arrived looking more like a Bell's Oberon and tasted more so like on than a cream ale. We decided not to order anything else based on the service, beer flavor, and lacking menu. read more

The place does a great business. It is new and will only get better. All the locals know the food comes from the store deli for now as most of us know who owns what and who are partners is what part.
