Stopped here for dinner with a friend on a recommendation. Was told the menu was excellent and the food was great. The recommendation did not disappoint! There is an extensive cider list with all sorts of flavor profiles. The pours here are very generous! The service staff were very hospitable and kind. We sat outside to soak up the sun, and the outdoor spaces are excellent. Lots of space for individuals and groups. This is an ideal space to enjoy summer and fall evenings! If you like Hard Cider and delicious food, this is a must try place. Located in the small town of Leslie, Michigan we were pleasantly surprised at just how good this place is. The menu is excellent with plenty of choices. Good atmosphere. They often have live music on weekends. We were impressed with all the choices of ciders. The service was also top notch. Boss cider- This place serves tons of homemade ciders as well as a few homemade seltzers and beers. They also serve food but we did not try any of it. The oò did look good and I would love to try it. When you walk in there is a small seating area and then there is another larger seating area to the right. They also have a cute outdoor patio. They have a large selection of ciders in various flavors several of them being unique. I tried a flight as well as a few samples. My favorite one was the razz it was so good!!! I also enjoyed the peach tea and the apple pineapple cider. My husband got the oatmeal stout. It was a solid beer, not the best he's ever had but definitely not the worse. They had multiple wait staff that serve you. I would come back if I'm in the area. read more

So.. it's a hike to get to Leslie. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere (and we had to pass 3 Amish buggy's to get there) but the quiet vibe of the small downtown was really nice. The inside is completely redone and beautiful, and there's a nice outdoor seating area my husband and I opted for.The staff were busy- but we had multiple people check in on our throughout our visit. I did a cider flight (look at those tall pours!) and we got a frick-in roll and truffle popcorn to snack on- both delicious! The over all chill vibe, paired with a cold drink and a nice breeze made for a wonderful Sunday afternoon. read more

Visiting from out of town on a fall color tour Friday October 18, 2024. We stopped at the cider house for dinner. Ordered two ciders and dinner for the three of us. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries. That burger was the worst example of a mushroom burger. The menu states grilled mushrooms. The mushrooms on my burger were straight from a can. I don't think they were even put on a grill. I ate one and it was cold. I thought about just eating the burger without the mushrooms, but then thought, why should I have to do that. That's not what I ordered . I sent it back. I was offered to order something else, but at that point the other guests had their meals. It would only hold up our travel plans. Worst experience of my life! My fiancé and I were regulars at Boos Cider. We decided to sit down with the owner Jim in January 2025 and reserved the large room for our small wedding reception, gave our deposit and picked out our food menu. After everything was set, we sent out invitations with date, time and place. 30 days from the wedding we went into Boss Cider and had a meeting with the manager Maddie. Set up tables and confirmed details. Maddie reassured us that everything was in order and even gave me a hug and told me everything was going to be amazing. Only to wake up the next morning to a email canceling our wedding because "I had too many requests". The only additional things I asked was if it was possible if the staff that was attending our wedding could wear black and white. Didn't care if they were sweatpants and a t-shirt. Just something that the elderly and guests could identify them in. Maddie said it would be fine. We were even going to move tables around ourselves and put them back before we left. All my family are flying out from California and Washington state and my fiancés family is coming up from Kentucky. When we responded to the owner he had no remorse or couldn't care less about the situation he had left us in. I'm so shocked that a business and a human being could do this less than 30 days until someone's wedding. So unprofessional! I will never go back to an establishment that treats their customers this way. I even have a mug on the wall and don't even care to go back to get it. read more

If there was a heaven on Earth, Boss Cider would be it for me. Wow! I literally loved everything about it. The staff was so kind and helpful. The server helped us navigate the menu and find selections from the menu for the cider flight that my husband and I would enjoy. The selection of ciders was amazing. They had so many great sweet fruit forward ciders. It was so hard to choose only four. I loved all the ones that we tried and got some to take home. I'm going to be sorry that I only got four. Thankfully, you can order online since it's so far for us to come up her. The concord or hershel was my favorite. It tasted like grape juice which is what I love. I also loved the white grape or Niagara and blood orange. They were my second favorites. I wanted to love the cherry since I'm obsessed with cherries. Unfortunately, it wasn't as sweet as I would like. It was ok. My husband liked it. He likes more dry. I'm excited to try the pineapple coconut at home. The servers said it was very good. New to Michigan and a big cider drinker. Absolutely loved this place. All the ciders were delicious and the staff was very cheerful /attentive. 3 igloos available for advanced bookings that include a cozy festive interior and a mini heater. I hung out next to a heat lamp outside with a tall stool, and there were a few other groups at spaced out tables under heat lamps having a great time. I stayed for quite awhile and watched groups play card games in the igloos, laugh a bunch and when they left the staff did a great job of sanitizing. I also thought the patio music selection was a good variety. Bathrooms were super nice and they had TONS of cider selections on draft and in cans. Left with a strawberry rhubarb growler, but will definitely be coming back for a flight. Small businesses are struggling financially with COVID, and only being allowed to seat 3 groups comfortably outside I can see why they charge for the igloos. I have no issue supporting this amazing place through this tough time. They put a lot of thought into the interior design and really made them cozy. I am a beer drinker who tried a taste and a pint of 32 shades of blue when I was at Horrocks. I knew I needed to come to Leslie to check this place out. What an awesome job they do on the ciders and beer. We had the crab Rangoon appetizer, which was good. Then we ordered the chicken and dill pickles pizza, which was fabulous. I had an awesome hazy IPA and a blood orange cider. The way they blend the flavors together with the ciders is an art. Great job to the staff. We will be back. read more

Very inviting with a winters theme. Open airy and very well done. Wasn't a big cider fan. Most I had tasted were sour and Unexciting. So wasn't thrilled to go but was with my daughter and son in law and they had heard good things. So off we went. What a wonderful surprise. The ciders were delicious. We each got a flight so we have several to taste. All were very good. Make sure to try the hopped cider. We very much enjoyed our time there. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I so want to love this place. The cider is exceptional, and service is great. Food is a pleasantly slightly upscale small plate option compared to other offerings in town. Decor feels a little like a baby's nursery, but is updated and fresh. My frustration comes from their early closing hours for a "brewery", fluctuation in closing times, and sometimes there's food, sometimes not. There are also frequently small children running around, which just feels a little uncomfortable when trying to have some adult time at a bar on a Saturday night? We supported them regularly through Covid with carry outs so we could get our Purple Hershel fix. Hopefully their schedule and offerings will become more consistent as we get back to normal. *Would also be awesome if they offered just a few beers for the husbands* read more

My wife and I came here two weeks ago, and we were not let down. I'm not a person who drinks ciders but I have to say, they were so good. It has a smaller menu, but that's ok too. The food was so good. We spoke to Jim, the owner, who is a really nice person, and he sampled a few of their other ciders for us. Wow , they were really good. Especially the coffee flavored one. What a wonderful find! We were not disappointed by our first trip to this adorable cidery near Lansing, MI. The list of ciders was extensive, but by sharing two flights, we were able to taste most of them. (And the pours were generous!) Disappointing experience as I wanted to share this with visitors from out of town. Igloos are nice but only for rich- $60. Froze outside despite requests for patio heaters to be turned on and had to leave after waiting for 25 minutes on flatbread with cheese and empty glasses. This unique small town gem is fantastic! They brew and serve multiple varieties of hard apple cider and new flavors rotate in regularly. This is not an overly sweet hard cider like you find in grocery stores-their cider is much more refined (almost like champagne!) Try a cider flight of 4 different flavors (my current favorite is Apple-Blueberry) or better yet, take a couple of friends along so you can taste everything on the menu. They don't have a full food menu but serve a number of well-prepared bar snacks and soups, including truffled popcorn, fries, and spinach dip. Although it's getting a little late in the year for their patio seating, I'm already looking forward to sipping cider on the patio next spring. For now, you will be comfy in the stylish indoor seating area, complete with games & cards to entertain. Nonalcoholic cider is available too. Seems very family friendly. Check it out! read more
