I was so excited to find a Filipino place on the North Shore. No longer have to cross the bridge for Filipino grub! This is a tiny store run by a couple. Very charming and personal service. It seems they have regulars who know them well. First of all I'm very excited they have breakfast items every day. I ordered a sweet pork (To Si-Log) with fried egg and garlic rice. Loved the flavour of the pork. The pork belly with pancit was spot on. The crispy pork belly reminds me a bit of a Cantonese roast pork - similar style of pork, fatty cut really juicy and with the Filipino flavour. The pancit was OK. Not bad but not as good as at Pampanga's. Note that this is not the same as Sisig though. I loved the garlic rice. Wonderful flavour. Fish was good too. I would definitely go back just because it is local and I love Filipino. Great couple who runs this place too.

We were visiting from California and we were craving Filipino food. We saw this place close to our airbnb. We ordered a variety of their silog dishes for takeout. Everything was delicious especially the lechonsilog. The staff was super friendly and nice. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Vancouver.

Food is very tasty. Be aware, Filipino food is typically greasy and involves eating lots of rice. Please do not enter if you are into "eating healthy". Now that we have acknowledged this is not the place for those looking for "gluten-free" and "healthy eating", let's talk about their food. It is delicious. I don't even know where to begin. I'll talk about a few of my favourites: Dinak -dakan- this dish is a pork dish with purple onion cooked in coconut milk and ginger. DELICIOUS! The purple onion nor the ginger overpower the taste. Dinugu-an- this is pig's blood. You don't the pigs blood, it's also pork. Delicious. Best w/ garlic rice and eggs. Lechon kawali: pork dish. The skin is so crispy but not too crispy. It's just right. The meat is tender and oh so tasty! Best w/ rice and eggs Lumpia: this is pork egg roll. It's our kid's favourite. Our kids like to eat this by itself Pork BBQ is also our kids favourite Oh! Toron! For dessert! Toron is Banana Wrapped in pastry wrap fried with brown sugar. Mmmm! It's crispy and tasty delicious. LOL! Our family are frequent visitors here, if not take out for dine in. Please note!!! IMPORTANT! They don't accept credit cards. Cash or debit are the only form of payment.

I first discovered this restaurant one night while at the Shipyards Friday Night Market. They had a food stand set up selling a few popular Filipino dishes. One taste of their prata and I knew I had to check out their restaurant. Their tiny restaurant is tucked away among a few other businesses on a quiet street. Because of that, the owners rely on nearby locals as well as word of mouth (and Yelp!) for their business. The place is fairly small with a handful of seats. The few people that came in while I was eating did takeout. The owner was really friendly, taking the time to talk about the region of the Philippines of the various food they prepared. It's an up and coming restaurant that, with time, should do well given the authenticity and delicious flavors of the food. I like that they had a selection of prepared food to choose from in addition to items you can order from their menu. In addition to the prata (had to get that again) I sampled a few of their prepared dishes such as sisig and something else I just can't remember how to spell. Bottom line was that everything tasted great. Their prices were very reasonable too. I'd say this place is worth checking out if you in the mood for good Filipino food.

We ordered the pork belly kare-kare, chicken adobo, beef flakes, egg rolls, and pancit--every single dish was a hit. The portions are huge (leftovers for our group of four!), the ambiance is lovely, and the service is truly exceptional. It's one of those rare spots where you're happy to pay and tip well because the experience is just that good. If you're craving Filipino food, this is a MUST. We're already coming back for dinner!

It's hard to find places that offer this for only four people. Normally you need a lot more so this is an excellent little gem of a location to know. The service was really excellent, and you could tell it is family run. You can see also some personal memorabilia and collections in the bathroom, which really gives the traditional province feel of the Philippines. Philippines is a vast country with over 100,000 islands and this place gives me a feel of the province. The service was really good and the ambiance is nice. Though I would have life to see a few more things even like plants are photos in the main dining hall. Something to be aware of and it is a common problem for most places in Vancouver. Parking can be a real challenge so read the signs very carefully.

New Filipino gig in lower mainland, small place approximately houses 15 heads the whole eatery…read more Mostly Filipino customers lining up. I went here with a friend to try, well not bad actually, the carrying product is Lechong Cebu,a rosted pork. There are only few dishes in the menu, the server claimed they are coming soon. they also do catering service thats what the waitor told us. we wish to have a bulalo its a beef soup but sold out that day, so since we were already here and our cravings for this day is Filipino cuisine we ordered other availble dishes. First one is the pork sisig, it was good,we both dont eat liver so we asked the server to exclude it.oh how i missed home(Philippines) on first bite of the sisig,it was delish, the flavor of the spices, the lemon and the egg while it was smoking hot on a sizzling plate, very good. we ordered appetizer includes 2 Pork bbq, 2 feep fried spring rolls(lumpiang shanghai),and 3 pcs of chicken wings well i would say they were ordinary taste,we also got the beef caldereta,hmmmmm....another ordinary taste.plus we had the garlic rice and hot water with lemon. I am not sure if the dishes were pre-cooked. We havent try the carrying dish which is the lechon Cebu, for sure if we will come back thats the one we will going to order. Very small place, crews are bi-lingual and very friendly, you know friendliness is one of the best trait of Filipinos. They also sell some chicken skin chicharon and ube pandesal. Pricing is just okay, you pay for what you wil get. Theres no TV, but theres music playing while we were there.Wash room is available.(Needs a lot of make over and improvement with the interior design.) If am not mistaken this place is a bubble tea gig before,As per friends news it was sold. Wifi now is all over the city so i dont think that would be an issue. Parking is metered one unless you wish to park in some residential area and you will just do some waking...sometimes serious walking because it can be far. Most clients that day came for pick up orders..a lot of them so i feel that this place has a huge potential to bloom. Noise level is average and nothing i can say on the interior design because theres nothing at all, like i said it"s pretty new place. Good for small group and kids friendly. Im wishing the owner the best of luck...i hope they should incorporate more Filipino dishes in their menu. Accept credit and debit card and cash as well

They even make their own sauces that are bottled and you can bring home. They seemed to be set up for take out and catering. But they do have seating for about 20-25 people. We ordered: BBQ Pork Combo meal $10.50 Chicken Inasal Combo meal $10.50 both with Garlic - Annatto Rice +$.75 each and we added pork spring rolls $4 The combo meals are tasty and filling. With a slight char on the BBQ pork which is what I enjoy when having skewers. Honestly the garlic- annato rice wasn't really worth it. I personally couldn't taste it over the sauce on either the BBQ pork or the chicken Inasal. And would have been happy with just regular rice. The lumpiang was meaty and everything I look for in a crispy spring roll. The dessert options area also great. Not sure if its seasonal but they had a slice of coconut (buko) pie in their fridge. Whole buko pie need to be per-ordered and picked up on the weekend. They also have leche flan and ube cheesecake for a sweet treat. Over all a great comforting small business with friendly staff and a meal under $12. How can you go wrong? Give Hapag Ihaw-Ihaw a try if you're in the area.
