I have had back issues most of my life. I had seen several different chiropractors at different times over the years, not really sticking with any particular one. Recently, I was debilitated for nearly two weeks after my lower back went out. This recovery time isn't normal for me so I found Dr. Allen in the network of our health insurance company. I liked that he was local and had great reviews on Yelp. The office staff were super friendly and very accommodating as I got a same-day appointment. Dr. Allen used a technique on me that I've never experienced before with a chiropractor. It worked wonders! I was feeling 95% the next day...I couldn't believe it. Dr. Allen is amazing!! Different from other chiropractors I've seen. He knows his stuff and I'm so glad I found him as I've never had such great results with chiropractors in the past as I do with him. He uses stretch tables, laser, and vibrating massage to loosen up muscles and get the body realigned and relieve pain. Before seeing Dr. Allen I had really bad neck pain. When I looked up, my neck ached and I couldn't move it back very far. A few visits later and I have full mobility and my neck no longer hurts when I move it around. I am not satisfied with their level of service, courteousness. They did accommodate a same day appointment for me but I was transported from one room to another without any explanations. Then a girl asked me to wait in the hall, I waited for 10-15 minutes without any explanations. Finally, I asked them if I could get service and then the doctor jumped and tried to explain to me that his office manager was out today and they had made special accommodations for me. I don't know why they did that if they could not handle the traffic. The the doctor gave me a neck massage, no adjustment. I had to ask him to adjust my upper spine. I've have had nothing but a great experience with the staff of Allen's Chiropractic. They are always pleasant and they do a great job. When I hurt my neck I tried getting massages and the relief wouldn't last more than a day. At Dr. Allen's they got took the time to fix me right and after two weeks the pain was gone and hasn't returned 3 months later. Anytime I have needed an appointment, they get me in as soon as they can. They have even just said, "come on in" when I called in pain instead of making me wait. I've had back pain for literally over half my life, and have seen roughly a million doctors in 2 major metropolitan areas known for their medical prowess on both coasts, including several chiropractors - none of whom were able to help me the way Dr. Khachatourian has. Dr. Allen (whose last name really isn't that hard, people - ever had chicken cacciatore?) and his team have been outstanding. Although we have a ways to go, Dr. Allen is that great combo of friendly but professional and has managed to make what seems to be actual progress on my crappy spine where no MD, DC, or even PsyD ever has before. And if you're expecting a traditional chiro experience, that's not what this is, so don't get your panties in a bunch if there are no typical adjustments, cracking, or popping - that's literally the whole point of Dr. Allen's practice, but they do still accept a lot of insurances. Meanwhile, Tammy (who is the Office Manager, not just the lady who answers the phone, btw) is a national treasure and holds down the schedule, the patients, and the bedside manner with aplomb. Jackie is also friendly without being pushy, and although things occasionally run a little behind - it's a doctor's office guys, show me one that runs on time to the minute every single day and I'll show you some Aldous Huxley stuff - there's always a sense of everyone working together to help people feel better above all else. And truly, they really are on time more often than not. If you've been to as many doctors as I have, you know how amazing that is. An added bonus to Dr. Allen's office is that prices are literally listed up front, there are no shenanigans or pushy sales tactics, you won't sign your life away for a months-long package, everything is very clear, and if you're interested in other services offered at the office like Ashley's biofeedback sessions (which I also found helpful), cool: it costs $X/session. If not, that's cool too - it's advertised but nobody's gonna get in your face here. All in all, I've had a fantastic experience at Allen's Chiropractic, and as much as I wish my back was in better shape to begin with so I didn't need this service in the first place, I do, so I'm extremely grateful that Dr. Allen and his crew are there. My first time visiting a chiropractor. So far I've had two neck treatments for a pinched nerve. Scheduling is easy and works well with my work hours. I was seen very quickly on both visits. They accept most health insurance plans and my co-pay was only $10 plus $30 each visit for neck traction, adjustment, and massage. The numbess in my hand has dissipated and am going in for follow up treatments next week. Dr. Allen will adjust whatever is needed. Just let him know what has been bothering you. Most visits take about 45 minutes. The office is very nice and relaxing. Not your typical looking Dr's office. read more

I contacted Dr. Allen's office for an adjustment and the office manager got me an appointment the same day. When I got there, the staff was great and the entire process was seamless. Unlike other chiropractors I've used in the past, Dr. Allen's technique is great - it was not jerky or forceful. My mom walked in to Dr. Allen's office with an awful case of bursitis in her shoulder which basically stunted her mobility. After two months of wasting my time, I stopped going there because my pain not only was not going away but it was getting worse. Doctor did not take any X-rays to determine the cause of my pain, he only reviewed whatever was sent to him from my previous physicians. I'm a fitness instructor and and extremely active person.I have two partially herniated discs in my low back and have suffered from intermittent bouts of pain and stiffness since age 22. Believe me, I've been through my share of chiropractors on both the East and West coasts, and Dr. Allen is unlike any other I've visited. Dr. Allen is not at all what I would call your typical "bone cracker" chiropractor. He has a very gentle approach toward manipulating you and I always feel better after being adjusted by him (and usually spending some time both on the traction table and receiving ultrasound treatments). It may take a few treatments to recover, but I always have at least some relief after one appointment. He and his staff are very personable and accommodating--if I am having a particularly bad episode, I can almost always get a last-minute appointment the same day. They are a very busy office but they do their level best to get patients moved through as quickly as possible, while also making sure your level of pain is reduced. I've been going to Dr. Allen for years. I popped my meniscus years ago and because I went for continued treatment, I still haven't had to get the surgery recommended by the emergency room doctor. He's worked on my lower back from a fall on black ice as well. Chiropractors get a bad wrap sometimes but he is the real deal! I'm still in one piece and have remained active. They used a combination of traction, laser, massage and cervical/spinal manipulation and I was amazed at how quick and effective it was. Just got back from Dr. Allens Chirporactor. This doctor and his therapist Jeannette E. McQuown are miracle workers!!! I have had dislocated shoulders that he fixed in 1-2 visits. I have pulled my back several times (different than what I am going through now) and he fixes me right up. He is very gentle, doesn't adjust me on 1st or 2nd visit like other chiropractors., but he gently stretches and therapy. Jeannette is a wonderful masseuse and can determine exactly where your issue is. I very rarely write reviews, but this is one that deserves a review. The highest review ever. read more

I was referred to Dr. Allen by another patient (always a good sign) and have had an extremely positive experience and excellent results with every visit--no exceptions. I travel a lot, and am prone to muscle spasms in my neck and shoulder after a few days of long flights and less-than-ideal sleeping conditions. I've learned to just call Dr. Allen as soon as I get home and NOT try to wait it out! I get good advice for after-care and taking it easy while I heal, too. I second what another reviewer said about Dr. Allen's talent for telling you what you need to do in such a way that you'll actually DO it. His fees are very reasonable, but even at twice the price, I'd consider treatment there an excellent value for what it saves me in suffering and lost productivity. Dr. Allen makes you feel better about feeling better! Other good indicators: I've only had brief conversations with other patients in the waiting area--they don't keep you hanging around here!--but the ones I've had have all been really pleasant. That's pretty significant when you consider that people coming to a chiropractor are usually in some sort of pain or discomfort.
