Dr. Tri Le is phenomenal. I had a traumatic injury experience (while pregnant no less!), and he was so compassionate while being incredibly effective. With patience and skill he got me from too scared to move to confident and ready to give birth/care for a newborn. I cannot recommend him enough especially if you are going through a sensitive recovery. Even better is that the whole office is so kind and supportive including the assistants Tyler and Pat plus the office Jasmine and Joman. It was particularly heartwarming to see how many elderly clients were treated with patience and dignity by everyone. BSP is the BEST Physical Therapy office I have ever been to! I was in Physical Therapy for 6 months for a knee injury at another facility, then switched to BSP and felt stronger and more healed in just a few sessions. The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The Physical Therapist I worked with was Roman, and he is OUTSTANDING! He knows so much about the body, provides the best solutions for healing and is a master of massage work. He did different massage techniques around the muscles in my broken ankle, and it helped relive my pain so quickly. I will be forever grateful I found Roman. He is an excellent Doctor of Physical Therapy, and I'm incredibly grateful for his care with my moderate to severe lumbar stenosis and joint arthropathy at L4-L5. I waited 3 weeks for the initial evaluation appointment and after it was done, no one was at the desk to schedule future appointments- I was told they would call me the next day. When they did not, I called and was told they had no appointments available- were booked out 2 months!! I've received therapy for a shoulder reconstructive surgery and knee meniscectomy. Ventura is an amazing physical therapist who genuinely cares about his patients and takes the time to make sure they're healing as effectively as possible. Health care provider made a physical therapy recommendation? Dry your tears! If you live/work in the Burbank area, I've got a five-star recommendation that you'll wish you had discovered months ago ... BSP. When I couldn't shake some low back pain, my MD pointed me straight to PT. Located on the third floor of a nice medical office building, BSP is beautiful, clean and as focused on pandemic precautions as any health care facility should be. Temps are taken upon entry, masks are worn by all staff and patients, equipment is wiped down and sanitized after each use, and a safe distance is maintained between all. Downstairs, the gate arm is up -- free parking as of this writing (1/21). Call to see if they take your insurance! My Anthem Blue Cross co-pay per visit is $15. Cheaper than two Subway meatball sandwich FootLongs, which I should not be eating while getting physical therapy. Staff deserve ten stars. Ally at reception will call to remind you of appointments and offer time slots she knows that you want. Pat and Manny set up your exercises and keep everything running smoothly. My physical therapist, Dr. Jay, is just fantastic. Years of training has enabled him to figure out exactly what's going to work, without any lectures or mean faces. I was suffering with horrible tension headaches and neck pain that made it hard to work at a computer all day, and enjoy my hobbies. BSP was suggested to me and I had 6 weeks of sessions with Lindsay Tanner. Lindsay and the rest of the staff were so friendly and supportive, and celebrated my improvements with me! I've come away with a set of exercises I can count on to keep my neck and shoulders strong and stable, which has greatly eased my headaches. The most special part is that I'm autistic, which means my muscle issues are a little different than other patients. Lindsay and all the staff listened to my concerns and worked with me to understand how to adjust my program. Nobody treated me differently, except that they knew I might have different needs - but I think they treat everybody who comes in as a real individual. The year before the Covid pandemic hit I was in physical therapy for 9 months at BSP. I had been referred by my doctor after I was rear-ended in my car. I had a severe case of whiplash. I had been at a complete stop when a car hit me going at least 35mph. I was in such bad shape, I really thought that I'd never get better. Fernando assured me that I'd be OK, but I wasn't convinced. He did an amazing job, slowly and methodically working out the kinks and loosening things up. It was a lot of work to get me back to normal. Now, 4 years later, I am still pain free. My active lifestyle always comes with a cost. As a two-time patient of Dr. Lisa Adams and her aide Jona, I cannot recommend them enough! I first came across BSP Therapy two years ago per advice from my hand surgeon. The second time around, I went to BSP after having cubital/carpal tunnel surgery due to severe numbness/tingling stemming from weightlifting and saw a 90-95% reduction in my symptoms after just 8 weeks of physical therapy. Now, I am back to my old self again. Aside from being my hand therapists, Lisa and Jona quickly became my friends as they are nice, kind, and caring people. I can't give this place enough good stars. I've worked with Dr. Fernando (knee), Dr. Lisa (hands), and Dr. Joel (ankles) all of them repetitive stress injuries. (2019-2021) I don't think Dr. Fernando is still working there now, but he was able to not only heal my knee he corrected the muscles around my whole leg to strengthen and reset how they are supposed to work. I have so much more movement than I've had in a long time. He's also a very smart and kind person. Dr. Lisa not only is a absolute wonderful person she genuinely cares about you and your healing. The workouts are tough but not strenuous and even when I would try to hurry up to heal she'd gently remind me to slow down and work the full range of motion. She has great tips and tricks for supplemental healing and lifestyle changes to stop the issues from coming up again (I had computer induced carpal tunnel in both hands) now I have a whole arsenal of stretches' and some gadgets to help me get pain free faster when I'm overdoing it on the computer. Plus I've invested in some work station solutions she suggested which allows me to write so much here. I'm now working with Dr. Joel for heel and ankle pain, and he has a very different technique than I was expecting. He's been working surrounding areas as well as my ankles and up to my back and shoulders (since everything is connected) and I'm discovering so many areas of hidden tension that has been contributing to my ankle pain, it's crazy. I like how Dr. Joel explains the how things are connected. He spends the time getting to the root of the pain source and I always leave pain free. He also gives me stretches' I need to do at home and probably until I get more active again. The ladies at the front desk are so nice and welcoming, scheduling is easy and they take the time to explain what insurance covers in the office. The doctors aids Manny, Puppy, and Jona very patient, kind and good people. they take the time to watch that you are doing the stretches' the right way and work with you to correct posture and movement. Somehow they remember everyone's names and check in with how you are doing. They have a lot of people to manage but they always do it with a smile and give you their attention. Like I said I can't give them enough praise, it's really the only place I want to go for physical Therapy. Even when I'm off my companies insurance I will be coming here because I know I will get better. read more

If your staff doesn't know how to book a simple appointment, why would I even deem this place trustworthy of my father's health. Let me start off by saying that I have never been to physical therapy. So, I had no idea what to expect and no clue as to what my sessions would entail. I found BSP from Yelp, (thanks, yelpers!), and I am so unbelievably grateful that I did. A little about my situation: in April of 2016, I suffered a fall that greatly injured my tailbone and eventually (as I would later find out from an MRI) that I had a bulging disc in my lower back as a result. I came into physical therapy distraught, depressed and dejected about my persistent, seemingly never-ending painful situation. The first session was excruciatingly painful for me, as it is with most newcomers. But I was gingerly worked on, and supervised by Manny, the sweetest, most caring individual. He always made sure that I could handle any given exercise and would not abandon me while I attempted to do them. Once, he even brought me a box of tissues when I ended up in tears from sheer frustration from the pain. This kind of emotional support is something I will always be grateful for. Hearing, "it's going to be OK," is something that I really needed to hear, and Manny was that guy. Jennifer and Alma are the sweetest front desk staff I have ever had the pleasure of setting up an appointment with. Jennifer answered all of my apprehensive questions, thoroughly explained to me what I could expect during my initial appointment, and made sure I was aware that I could always call back with a million more questions. Dr. Bryn and Dr. Jay are honestly the sweetest, most patient physical therapists. They take the time to really get to know your pain individually. Personally, I am more comfortable with a female therapist, so Dr. Bryn is my go-to when I need fixing up. And man, is she tough! She works on you so methodically and can somehow make you laugh through gritted teeth and all the wincing in the world. She finds a balance between keeping you distracted, honest about the pain you're experiencing and is effective in combating it WITH you. She is such a sage. Every time my session ends with Dr. Bryn, I find myself with new knowledge about my pain, or a new home remedy to try at home, and most of them almost always provide a bit of relief that I always appreciate. The environment at BSP is also really calming and most importantly, positive. You can tell the staff works like one big extended family. They throw jokes at each other from across the room, and somehow, by the end of your many sessions, you've become part of that family, too. They know you on a first-name basis, ask you how you're doing, how you've been, how your holidays went, it's insanely genuine and refreshing. I've seen them work with a variety of patients, some barely speaking English, and they will still find a common ground to connect with that patient, never letting anyone feel left out or unheard. I had a herniated disc in my lower back and Dr. Fernando fixed me right up. His kind, warm demeanor helped me when I was in intense nerve pain. Sitting upright, standing, walking hurt so bad. He was patient with me, listened, and assured me I was in good hands by explaining my problem was structural. After each session, I saw myself get better day by day. He gave me homework, and I stress to you, do it. Don't over do it. I thought, "If I just do what he tells me EVEN MORE.. I'll get better faster!" but that's not how it works. I ended up hurting myself. I told him what I did and he explained why that happened. I needed to be patient because my body was trying to heal. I shouldn't over do it. I went from not being able to walk to being able to walk, jog for a bit [because I need to train my muscles a bit more], and am back to where I was before. I have tools to manage when I feel my sciatic flare up again because of my disc. I highly recommend them for back issues. read more

My 8 year old has been going to BSP for months now for his hip injury. The team at BSP are incredibly kind, patient and accommodating. Jazmin at the front desk always greets us with a smile and has been so helpful getting our son in to see the physical therapist. Brought my grandmother here to start physical therapy. She's 87 years old. She has an aching back off and on and sometimes has trouble walking. Brought her here hoping to strengthen her legs. The staff has been wonderful. Dr. bender is wonderful and super nice. I was very happy with his bedside manner. He really took the time to explain things to my grandma and was really gentle. The day we went it was short staffed, yet I feel we were well taken care of. We will be back again. I set her up for a few sessions. She's only been to one appointment but she been doing the exercises at home and said she's starting to feel Those muscles work. I'm really excited to be bringing her back and see more results. Great customer service. Also on a quick note. I assumed when you check in where it says you get a Water bottle.... It was a regular old water bottle. Nope it was a nice canteen to hold water. Called this place multiple times no one ever answers their phones. I had my father who needed their assistance call as well and after trying on 5 different days of calling them also no one answers. They need to figure out who ever answers their phones because they are not doing their job. God forbid there would be an urgent call. Came in for my Achilles/Ankle injury. At first I was a bit skeptical about physical therapy but this place is awesome! I was assigned to Dr. Joel Kim! Overall great DR and just a great person. Very informative. Let's you know why you are doing particular stretches. Teaches you about your body and why you are in pain rather than just fixing the injury. Looking forward to my next injury so I can come back (jk). But seriously great great place from the staff at the front desk to all the Drs. Very very satisfied! read more

They've been fantastic and I can't say enough good things about both the specific therapists as well as the office staff. My main therapist was David who treated me following a hip replacement and other issues resulting from a crash. I always ask a lot of questions and he was patient with answering those. Also, he and BSP realized that most of the work needs to be done at home and they didn't pressure me to come to their office to do the exercises as long as I was doing them at home and making progress. They guided me through the months-long process and provided the help I needed whenever I needed it (including a gratis visit after I had reached the limit for my insurance). read more

I had foot surgery, so I've been coming here for a few weeks per doctor's orders. The staff is so nice, and I appreciate that they monitor my pain levels. The space is small but I don't feel like the patients are on top of each other, and they do a great job of focusing on us individually and giving us our own space with curtains. Pros: Hershey's Kisses, clean bathroom, super clean facility, and I get to play with marbles with my toes. Cons: 3$ to park in plaza, terrifying elevators, being in PT means you're in pain so that sucks. read more

Sadly disappointed. They overbook, because of this you sometimes have to warm up on your own. On more than one occasion I spend only about 15 minutes with one of the two physical therapist. The front offices bragged how the PT gives you one-on-one time, but their words did not match their actions. The male PT said to me, "God forbid if you have surgery." Yelp reviews convinced me to try BSP. New to PT, I felt the opinions of their patients would be a reliable source. On the contrary, the emotional, verbal, physical & sexual abuse I received at BSP prompted me share my experience. Francesco was gruff, rude & intimidating. He ordered an MRI stating he had to see what was going on in my hip before he could work on me. Although he possessed the bedside manner of a terrorist, I agreed with this next step. Then, w/out viewing results, he began aggressive, invasive & painful work on my injury. His old school intensity put me on edge. Then I met Terrance. He pulled down my pants to attach electrodes to my bare vulva. In order to cope with this procedure, I checked out. I was confused as to why anyone would need to go under my clothes or underwear to work on my hip. Terrance asked where I lived & invited himself to my home. He asked repeatedly if I had a man around the house to take care of things, letting me know he could massage me at my home also. This was my first visit. As Francesco set up my next appointment, he barked to the gal at the front desk, "I want her alone." All of this made very uncomfortable. My lack of experience in a PT office, coupled with desperately wanting to be well, I rationalized this tough start as part of the healing journey. After viewing my images, Francesco said the joint was stable. He rigorously resumed pushing me to the point where I felt I was about to vomit/pass out. He thought this was funny & treated me like I was being a baby when I stopped. When he told me his work would leave bruises, my instincts kicked in. Francesco's bruises lasted weeks; his pressure rendered me unable to walk. In between visits, I was bed ridden as I limped now unable to bear weight on my left leg. BSP assured me it was normal to get worse before I got better. They made me feel this was all my fault. To protect myself, I bought large modest underwear w/lounge pants. I specifically needed comfort for future visits & preserve any dignity I had left. Terrified to return, I found myself cancelling my upcoming appointments. My anger festered; I attempted to ask BSP about my care, the staff became defensive. In a last ditch effort to maintain our working relationship, I asked to work with someone else. I had one professional opportunity working with Manny. He & Terrance have the same job. Good at his job, this contrast exposed & confirmed that the red flags I received when working with Terrance were real. On my final visit to BSP, instead of granting my need, Francesco became explosive. He bullied me telling me I was being unfair. He refused to allow me to work with another therapist at BSP. I called him unprofessional however he screamed back that I was unprofessional. Fed up with his manipulation, I filed a police report with the Burbank Police Dept. re: inappropriate visits. A girlfriend referred me to Vargo Physical Therapy on Victory, remarking how gifted they were. Vargo built a treatment plan that educated me. I saw immediate radical range of motion return I was astounded at how quickly my form had improved. I was never hurt at Vargo. Instead, I encountered a nurturing atmosphere, incredible customer service that felt like home. My new therapist Joyce was patient, composed & safe. She respectfully introduced herself, asked specific useful questions that were extremely detailed. Vargo has a private exam area. Joyce asked for permission to touch me as well as explained why she needed to access a particular muscles. She told when she was going to touch me & how. I was shocked when she told me they worked over garments in their office. I felt relieved when she asked me to wear shorts on my next visit. She did not need to see my MRI because she told me that was not part of her job. Joyce had boundaries and her knowledge brought reality to my issues. She was not afraid to have difficult conversations with me regarding the state of my joint, putting me at ease. Joyce earned entrance, built up my trust simultaneously as she slowly increased my physical strength. She referred me to two phenomenal sports medicine orthopedic surgeons. The doctors took more ex-rays in the office & their two professional opinions told me: a) physical therapy would not help me; b) surgery was inevitable but I was too young & c) my joint was a "jagged boulder." They explained that hip replacement would immediately redeem each issue causing pain; followup w/two weeks of PT.... then I would be done. I needed to wait a few years for surgery because I was too active. Joyce told me to come to PT if I felt it was helping me. She knew that her reach was only external thus referring me to those who could do more. None of this was pleasant but at least I received the support & the honest answers I needed. read more
