I went to Burbank PT when I hurt my shoulder due to incorrect exercise. Doctor Michelle was incredibly helpful in providing me with a magnitude of safe exercises to do to recover. More importantly, she pointed out a few things that I need to work on overall with my posture, these changes will improve my life overall (especially as I get older). She is truly a healer, with vast knowledge, and a passion for what she does. Her team is incredible. I love that she also offers wellness appointments so that I can return to her anytime I need guidance. I've been seeing Michelle for a while now. I've had chronic pain for about 3 years now, and of all the PTs I've been to, this clinic is the best for a few reasons. I've been to both PTs who work at hospitals who barely touch you and only recommend exercises and stretches. I've also been to privately owned clinics that book many patients at the same time, so you're left hanging and alone. Michelle's appointment works so that you get half the time doing manual therapy and half the time doing exercises and stretches. I've noticed that most PTs these days try to stay away from manual therapy, but I've found that it's pretty important in the healing process. It's a small clinic and doesn't have a bunch of bells and whistles, but the individual attention to detail is worth it compared to those fancy places that treat me like I'm in some sort of patient mill. I'm slowly but surely building my strength up and little by little, my pain is getting better. I honestly wish more PT clinics were like this. read more

Im looking to get info for 2nd opinion for my foot injury & receptionist "office manager" answered asked what type of injury told her Lisfranc she didn't know what Lisfranc injury was most people don't. I told her I'm only calling to ask if the PT has experience with treating this specific injury , receptionist let me know she has 30 yrs of experience she's never heard of Lisfranc ?? Her 30 years has nothing to do with asking Pt if they treat my injury. Front office staff please listen more, talk less, get details, ask PT & call back with answer... She wanted referring surgeon name, told her I was calling several facilities not to call my dr office, she spoke about insurance, told her I would pay out of pocket if needed. Again I had to tell her can you just find out if the PT handles this specific injury!!!!ugh when I asked her name she condescendingly said I'm the office manager & hung up on me. Of course I called back to tell her she hung up on me without giving her name, she said oh I didn't kno it's Mrs. Banks. read more

I just recently saw Michelle for some low back pain issues I was having, and in a few sessions she had me feeling right as rain again! I've been going to this clinic off and on for the last eight years and I can honestly say I've received some of the best health care of my life at this spot! Michelle has treated me for shoulder bursitis, back spasms, sciatica - she even helped me rehab from a hip labral repair, which was a pain staking and intense process! She and her entire staff go all out for their patients, using every tool in their arsenal to make sure you are feeling better soon. The pain I got originates in my spine and radiates down to the back of my left leg. The cure they told me is to have a injection at my back and the pain will be gone. My primary Doctor advise me first to see first Michelle, who is a Physical Therapist. I went with her in a couple of days and right away I feel the difference. Michelle had a magic touch. That whatever pain I have in any part of my body was gone smoothly. She know right away where is the pain coming from. She is extremely knowledgeable on what she do. Receptionist was incredibly rude. I was very excited to find a PT place where you would work directly with the therapist, and who, according to their own website, took my insurance. After 2 days of calling and leaving messages with no call back, I finally managed to get through to their receptionist. She told me they no longer took my insurance and then gave a long excuse about their website manager. When I said I wish they would update it as I wouldn't have wasted so much time to reach someone, she turned incredibly rude and hung up on me. When I got into a car accident and messed up my back, my doctor sent me here to work with Michelle. She is amazing. the pilates based therapy strengthened my hurt muscles, and for nearly the first time in my adult life I was with out pain. The exercises and therapy also worked my core so well that, again for first time in adult life, I started loosing weight. I enjoyed working with Michelle so much, and saw such great recovery in my back and neck, that I continued on training with her after I had recovered from my auto accident injury. When ever I can scape up the money I buy a package of 5 training sessions. If I won the lottery I would work with Michelle 3 days a week! I have been going to Burbank PT and Wellness for over 9 years now. I cannot even begin to tell you what a amazing, professional, supportive, caring, honest, accommodating, knowledgeable person Michelle is. She has treated me for numerous issues I have from a nasty fall I took down 16 concrete stairs back in 2010. I have gone through multiple surgeries and never once was Michelle not there for me. She will stay late, come in early, to help me when I'm in allot of pain. She has also treated my sons and husband after their surgeries/injuries. I was instructed once after one of my surgeries to see another physical therapist and it was the worst experience of my life. I left there in tears and called I spoke to Linda (who is amazing also!) and she got me right in to see Michelle and I will never go anywhere else again!!! She is extremely dedicated to her patients, I have never experienced that with another PT facility before. The front desk staff Linda is very friendly and always has a smile on her face when I come in and makes me feel so welcome. The PT aides are pretty amazing as well! Michelle teaches them well! The have a wonderful opportunity to learn from the best! So if you ever need a amazing. physical therapist make that call!!! First, I would like to say that I would give a million rating stars if I could! This is a long review, but people, please read it all!! I NEED to comment on the review from the lady that gave this place a one star. I think it is in VERY poor taste and totally unfair of you to go on a site such as this and rate something a one based on ONE phone conversation with the receptionist. We have all heard your side of the story, but we don't have the other side of the story. How do we know you weren't as aggressive to Linda as you sound on here? Maybe you hung up on her because you didn't want to give the information she needed to have the conversation with Michelle. Maybe you should have made an appointment to discuss how you felt about your interaction with Linda in private. I can't imagine Linda doing that and I am sure if you had met with Michelle instead of badmouthing her office on a public domain, you would be raving about her just as the rest of us are. Next time, try handling problems in-house first! Back to me. I am not a clumsy person but tend to have just horrible luck. I have had 17 surgeries for different things. Several of them required physical therapy pre-and post-surgery. I'm having another surgery tomorrow. I have seen MANY different therapists in different counties. Michelle has been ,by far, the best of al of them. Even though I have had some nice therapists in the past, I have always felt like a sheep. Herded I and out. Just another paycheck. I would be assigned to a therapist but only see them once every few weeks, and being treated by whatever aide is available most of the time. At Burbank Physical Therapy and Wellness, I see Michelle. EVERY TIME! Then I go with an aide who helps me with the exercises that Michelle tells them to help me with. Even the aides are great. Linda is GREAT at her job of making sure I get all the insurance and visits done right. I can't thank them all enough for all they have done for me! Michelle is the nicest, sweetest, and best therapist there is. She knows what she's doing and what will work best for you. I dread the day I don't need to go in! Michelle is awesome!! I came to this office because it offers Pilates therapy. Something you rarely find. I broke my leg flying off my dirt bike and then sprained my ankle, fractured my tibia and sprained ligaments in my knee when my cast came off. I'm a little clumsy!! Michelle was great and gave me homework to help me get into a routine. I learned so much about my body. She explains everything as she is treating you. She even has mini meetings with you to see where you are at in your therapy. When she was about to release me, I got injured in a car accident. MY ENTIRE SPINE WAS HERNIATED! Still is in my cervical. She helped me more than my the chiropractor. She fixed my lumbar and thoracic, cervical is a work in progress. THEN, I was hit again! So now she is helping me with my lumbar again. She really cares about her patients and does everything she can to help you heal. Using Pilates therapy helps you heal your whole body while also working on your injury. I recommend this place to everyone I know. Even have a co-worker who sees her for her injury. Love Linda at the front desk too!! She has so much knowledge about insurance!! She always made sure I did not use up my 60 visit a year I have. She monitored them and we made adjustments accordingly to extend my care. I just finished a month of therapy with Michelle and she and her staff are totally professional but at the same time very caring. It's easy to tell these people enjoy their work! A pleasure to come here! Everything is state of the art physical therapy here including Pilates training, cold laser, ultra sound, massage, core strengthening exercises and tips on using cardio equipment. Between my husband's shoulder, back, hip and knee injuries...I was introduced to Michelle (owner) for my RA diagnosed about 3 years ago. All staff and Physical therapy aids/techs are very professional and caring. Making sure to train and educate each patient with one's specific needs. I have just completed my course of treatment with Michelle and her staff. I am overjoyed at the treatment plan and especially the results. Frozen shoulder and cervical degenerative disk disease was the diagnosis with plenty of stiffness and pain.
