I have a torn rotator cuff and probably frozen shoulder. The surgery recommended is absurd - outpatient but eight months of oppressive recovery. Pass. PT was my only hope. When I started at Nova, I couldn't even put a shirt on without crying and swearing, and sleep was poor. My headspace was bad. So I needed both effective physical care and supportive emotional care. I got both at Nova. Dr. Kev, Izzy, and Autumn were my main care team. I adore these people. Kev constantly assessed and amended my routine to aid recovery, and encouraged me to keep working at home. But when I got wonky, he also provided gentle but authoritative nudges to get me back on track. Additionally, he's a real good guy and a hoot to talk with. Izzy and Autumn keep the busy practice running smoothly, pay good attention to everyone, and are absolutely delightful people. While the other team members weren't as involved with my care specifically, it was obvious every time I was there that it's a wise, collaborative, happy crew. Today was my last session. I can cough without crying, get dressed without screaming, put on a seat belt normally, and am getting back into working out. The extent to which Nova helped me can't be exaggerated; it is substantial. And I am extremely grateful. Less important but good to know: parking is good in the lot and on the street, and there's a Randy's Donuts right there (blueberry glazed is a good post-sesh reward). This physical therapy facility is great. Everyone treats you with kindness and respect. Just enough space to do your exercises. They're working on my shoulder and they have encouraged my recovery enough that I'm already feeling better. Definitely, a place I would use again. They do have a NoShiw penalty that increases with times however because they do run out of appointment they must utilize their right to do that. But quality care for sure. Their front office is not very fancy and their receptionist is not a ball of sunshine but it works because everyone is very casual and caring. read more

I went in and the PT (or maybe she was an aid?) was actively sick and unmasked. She kept looking at us guilty, other PTs had masks and the receptionist said they were all sick within the week. Other patients were remarking how actively sick this person looked, she even kept verbally saying she was sick. Very sketchy vibe. Makes me think they are trying to at worst cover up a Covid outbreak, and at best just get me sick and not care about my health. It was also insanely overcrowded, I could smell people's breath. I am weary of coming back. I don't know how much I trust a medical professional who is actively sick. Edit- Stephan is lying in his response, that woman was actively sick. lol. read more

10 stars the team works so well together at Nova they are helping me heal. I couldn't walk three months ago. I have two bone spurs in my right foot and was completely helpless. Basically they have trained my foot to work again to work around the spurs and to take the inflammation down with exercise and therapy. I highly recommend this place. They do good work there. The staff is very nice They are just poorly trained and managed. A physical therapist should not be about shoving as many patients into a time slot as possible and having the aids manage 2+ people. They give you an exercise, never check if you're engaging the proper muscles, don't directly monitor you, just stand at their desks and wait for you to be ready for the next one. The muscle work the dr does, if he's not 20 minutes behind and you actually get to see him, is a massage gun and maybe 2 minutes of stretching. Just wanted to write a quick review for Nova Physical Therapy. I brought my son here after an elbow dislocation injury. Full disclosure, Nova was the second PT office we tried for this injury. At the first office, my son made some progress and plateaued. At that point he was told that there will be another 3 months before he makes full recovery, which was a little too long, all things considered. We switched to Nova, where Stepan (and the rest of the crew) took over his physical therapy care. Within 3 weeks, my son had full range of motion in his elbow, and was able to slowly return to playing competitive sports. It's not about fast and quick results. It's about being confident enough to know how to push the patient without hurting them, and to expedite their recovery. Everyone here is so caring - from Pearl at the front desk, to Diego, who is everyone's right hand, and to the 2 doctors, Stepan and Kevork. They really listen to patient concerns. Added bonus, it's a really laid back and fun environment. I highly recommend Nova Physical Therapy. read more

The staff at Nova from the front desk, to the assistants, to the therapists, are all very friendly, kind, and professional. The facility is clean and bright, and my appointments always ran on time. Special shout out to Daniel who kept me honest with my exercises and Kev who oversaw my treatment plan and is magic with a Theragun. And finally, funny story -- I showed up at 8 am this morning after a misunderstanding about my final appointment date, and to make up for the unnecessary trip, they insisted on making me a coffee for the road. I was handling emails on my phone while I waited, totally oblivious to the fact that Stepan, realizing they had no to-go cups, literally RAN TO BUY SOME so they could make good on their offer!
