I've been working long hours on the computer for many years, and it caused severe pain in my back, shoulders, and neck. Mark, the owner of this branch, is truly one of the best physical therapists I've ever met. From the first day, he made me feel confident that everything would be okay, and he was right. We are still working on my recovery, and while I still have some days when the pain comes back to "visit," I now also have many days with no pain at all. The team has also taught me how to improve my posture and change the way I work at the computer. I never realized that sitting and working long hours could cause so many physical problems, but thanks to them, I've learned how important proper movement and ergonomics are. I also want to thank the entire team. The front desk staff; Jackie, Chelsea, and Laura always kind, professional, and welcoming. They make every visit a pleasant experience. The therapists and therapy assistants are equally amazing. Josue, Melody, Amber, Tatiana, Kevin, Ryan, Andrea, the PT; Matt, and Andy always make sure I'm doing every exercise correctly. They are friendly, encouraging, and always greet everyone with a smile. What impressed me most is how they remember every patient and make you feel like you're their only patient, even though they're helping many people throughout the day. Another thing that really stands out is how clean and organized the clinic is. Everything is spotless. The bedding is changed after every patient, the treatment tables are thoroughly sanitized after each use, and the towels are freshly washed for every patient. It's clear that they take cleanliness, hygiene, and patient safety very seriously, and it gives you great peace of mind every time you visit. In one word, this place is absolutely perfect. All the good reviews are FAKE AI written. I am looking for a PT since I now have MediCal which NO PT accepts so I have been in pain for many years because I cant get seen. When I was in the middle of a work comp injury back in 2019 and saw Vargo later with a foot injury ONCE and never ever went back! The place is an extremely busy, stressful, and a miserable place with a rude front desk, nobody smiled and it's just chaos and hectic. I saw Marc and he did his assessment and disappeared. No communication. Then some random PTA came by after waiting thru the assembly line and she barely did anything to my foot and also disappeared and I waited and waited and I guess I was "done" and all that was a waste of time for maybe 5 total minutes of "work." I never went back. I see Vargo is on my PT list in the valley and I was curious of the reviews now and was shocked so many fake AI reviews because they used to have horrific 1-star reviews and experiences like mine. I started weekly pt 3 weeks ago. The first person I spoke with was Jackie, who assisted me to get my insurance authorization in order and to schedule an appointment. She was personable and efficient. When I went to my initial session, Jason did a thorough evaluation and developed a treatment plan specific to my needs. He has been responsive to feedback and my plan has evolved to better address specific issues. He is knowledgeable, patient and willing to listen. During the actual sessions, Alec has been invaluable. He has given clear instructions on form. He has shown me how to target the areas of concern and how to avoid straining the exist injury. I've been going to Vargo for six months, for multiple injuries. The ladies at the front, Jackie and Lauren, are always friendly and proactive to ensure that you get appointments set in a quick time period. PT aide Chelsea, and her coworkers are attentive, and aware of your needs, which is derived from the ongoing communication given by the physical therapist. My primary physical therapist has been Andy, but I have been seen by other PTs. Andy is wonderful at being able to assess the issue at hand, and works with you for a plan to have between visits to build up strength, or stretches to limit pain. My first day was October 20 2025 From the very first day the staff at vargo have been the best I have ever been treated by. A lot of people generally don't like physical therapy, but me I absolutely love coming here. If I could come here after my treatment I would haha. I rehabbed a torn ankle ligament at Vargo in Burbank and was so happy it had been recommended to me! The PTs and aides all had such an upbeat, compassionate attitude -- paired with the knowledge to tailor a recovery regimen to my injury and progress. I loved that the fellow patients were such a wide range of people -- athletes, teens, older people, folks hurt at work , etc -- and the camaraderie / commiseration with them made the time pass quickly. After being pretty devastated I couldn't play basketball for 9 whole months, Vargo helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. For various reasons, I spent about 2 1/2 years needing physical therapy. I am so grateful that I was able to go to Vargo in Burbank. The vibe is caring, kind and patient. They personalize the experience. Many of the staff remember you by name, which creates a welcoming environment. You see a licensed P. T. every visit, in addition to wonderful assistants workimg with you on the exercises. The P. T.'s are very knowledgeable as to the type of care needed and we worked together to address my treatment needs abd eventual release. They did not release me until I felt I was ready. At the time, I was scared, lost and had no idea how I was even going to begin the road to recovery. I was a patient at Vargo for over three years and it is absolutely incredible the progress I have made. I feel sort of bad leaving a negative review, because I suspect the people here are overworked and overbooked because of the health insurance industry. Still, this place is Not Great. Only go here if you can't afford good PT. As others have said in reviews, this is assembly line PT. You'll spend most of your time with the aides (who are all very nice -- they're the best thing about this place). There's no personal attention, and no consistency of care. I went for chronic lower back pain, and talked to a PT at the first session about my work and (very consistent) exercise routine. This didn't seem to matter in later sessions, as whoever they sent over for 5-10 minutes each session didn't seem to know anything about me. My care plan didn't seem to be tailored to me at all. I never felt like I could ask questions or get in-depth advice because they're just rushing from patient to patient. Reception wasn't very friendly, and they lost my referral the first time it was sent. I actually had to insist they go look the second time, because they claimed they still didn't have it (they did). If you must go here, try to get the referral sent directly to you so you can take it in -- their fax machine is a black hole. read more

I am 3 weeks out from spinal fusion back surgury. I was concerned based on a phone call. I went today for an evaluated. The pt spent 10 minutes. Did not stay or show me exercise. The assistant told me to do a exercise and walked away. When I asked to make sure I was ok. She walked away, Thank goodness my husband was there. When I asked if somebody to stay with me she responded no as she went to another patient. I cannot walk alone, sit up alone or get in or out my car. Thus was unsafe and not ethical. I just finished my six week schedule for a (left) shoulder injury. I was in a great deal of pain when I started. Now my shoulder is pain free and I am able to do reaches which before were limiting and beyond uncomfortable. I loved going to Vargo. I was greeted by name, asked how I was doing and set up for my exercises. My PT Gabriella was the icing on the cake. She worked my shoulder, assessed my progress and knew just how much to push me to get the best strengthening benefit from my time there. Her hands and healing touch worked wonders. This would have been an OK therapy place pre-COVID, I think. They did give me some basic advice and exercises to do for my badly sprained ankle, but for those who are worried about COVID exposure it was worrisome. I stopped going because one of the therapists who worked with me told me she went to a large Thanksgiving gathering with multiple families. I went 3 times before this and was worried about how crowded it was but also wanted the therapy. I'm going to employ the techniques I learned there to try to strengthen my ankle but I would not go there again until after COVID has passed. read more
