Firstly, Angie is a lovely human being. Her sole purpose is not to be a transactional part of her client's lives but to heal them for the long run. I came in with a lot of tightness and was expecting only a deep massage to fix the issue, but Angie's approach was to discuss what was physically and mentally causing the tightness. That helped me understand where my tightness was coming from. I had a tightness in my knee that I could not figure out why it was there, but Angie was able to help me figure out the root of the problem and ease the tightness in one session. Next, she will help give you all the tools and tricks to massage yourself at home. I thought I knew everything about stretching since I do a lot of active stretches and recovery sessions, but this was very different and easy to learn. This is an amazing therapeutic massage. After not having a massage for 2 years during the pandemic, a knee injury finally pushed me to have one. I'm only able to have deep tissue massage by massage therapists who have gained my trust. In this situation, I had to trust Angie as we had never met before. I am sooo glad I did. My partner first went to Angie for a massage. Not only was he raving about how great it was for a week (and he is very particular, being a certified massage therapist himself), but I immediately noticed a change in mood - being stuck together in a tiny studio during a pandemic can intensify things. He was lighter, happier, and the tension was released. I knew I needed to see Angie for a massage myself. My work is very intense and I could feel the stress and tension just sitting in my body, mainly neck and shoulders. I kid you not when I say it was the best massage I had ever gotten. I immediately loved the use of the machine to initially break through the wall of tightness and tension in my body. Then when it got to the hands on portion of the 60 minute massage, I was genuinely so impressed with how fluid and strong she was. Angie is a miracle worker -- her knowledge of the body is completely nonpareil. I know it sounds silly, but her bodywork is borderline prophetic - she has that sacred of a relationship with the fascia! Angie is an angel. My neck had frozen overnight and though I had spent 2 hours immediately massaging it, rolling over tennis balls, and taking anti inflammatories, nothing was helping. The pain was so excruciating I had to lift my head up with my arms any time I transitioned from a lying to a sitting situation, with the same care and support you would provide an infant before it learns to hold its own head up. Anytime I drove over bumps in the road (there's many in LA), shooting pain would run down from my neck down to my lower back. I had limited range of motion and could feel tension with minute movements. I was traveling the next morning and Angie was gracious enough to fit me in for a session. The first session relieved me with 70% mobility that only improved as the days passed. Less than a week later I was at 90% improvement when I went in for a second session. Angie is a miracle worker who had provided me with so much relief from an awful back pain that I had just a month ago.
