So like I said she was tearing me up so I asked her move down to my legs and she just kept saying later. At that point you continue to just tear me up no matter how painful it was. Then when I first got there she kept going in and out of the room then when she finally came back in she said give me a couple of minutes I've got a customer leaving It took her almost 5 minutes to get me a hot towel to wipe me down since I was all oily. In this case, probably extreme benefit of the doubt. Here is my story... The front door seemed difficult to open, as though it was barricaded. Obviously, it was difficult to move so that the bells on the door would chime, which they did, and it didn't take long for what seemed like a nice person dressed for the night club to emerge from a back room. However, my arrival time was 3:00pm, broad daylight. She didn't speak english at all. "Not a problem." I said to myself and pulled a muscle anatomy image from my back pocket to illustrate what I needed, just on my upper back. She seemed irritated and motioned with a very enthusiastic shake of the head and wave of the palm to say "No", almost as if to say, "We don't perform surgery here, dude!" I tried to explain that all I needed was just a hand massage in the trapezius and surrounding area. Eventually, she calmed down and complied. I paid $40.00, and she led me into a back room. Eventually, I had ONLY my shirt off. She seemed confused yet compliant. I laid down, and she began. I tried to offer words of encouragement because she seemed either hesitant or inexperienced. She understood when I said, "Nice." She replied "Thank you", to which I replied, "Thank YOU". After my paid half hour was up, I must admit I got up feeling better. I was in pain when I walked in, and at least, for as awkward as her technique was, she did move my circulation around and made a difference. Perhaps I was just an easy patient on this day. Anyway, she finished, and I got up to put my shirt back on, during which time she clearly demonstrated, nursing her hands and wrists, that she was now in pain. "Are you ok?", I asked. "Yes", she replied. "What days do you work?", I followed up. "No here again", she said (yes, those were her exact words). I was too fixated on her nursing her hands and wrists to try to understand which way she could have meant that. "Would you like me to massage you?", I asked, clearly motioning at her hands and wrists. "No", she replied immediately. Funny how she didn't need any help whatsoever understanding. I expected to tip, but I wasn't expecting such a forward request when she eventually said, "Tip me money". I reached for my wallet, and tried to ask, "How much would you like?" During her moment of extreme hesitancy and what seemed like awkward irritation, still demonstravtively nursing her strained wrists and hands, she replied, "Feefatee." I assumed that meant "Fifty". Now let me say in this next moment, I was completely out of my daily pattern carrying cash in the first place. Everything I do is on Samsung Pay. If not on Near Field Connection (NFC), I put my transactions on a card. This place is different, so my wallet was emptied into her hand... $43.00. With what seemd to be sheer irritation, she led me toward the side door. On the way out, as we passed her coworker in a hallway door who was helping another client, she uttered something that sounded insulting in an Asian dialect. You know the tone... like when the nail lady screws up one of your nails and you hold her accountable to fix it. ...and just like that, I was out of there. Should I double back and hand her the rest of her tip? ...I mean, after all, I did get what I walked in to get, just not the way I expected.
