It was an encounter with the body, which I had long since gotten out of the habit of. I felt warmth, current, a slight shudder, a response in the lower abdomen. I was in town visiting family and my close friend and I book massages before our girls day brunch!! I forgot my therapists name but he was amazing I want to say his name started with a D??. I got the Body Guasha add on and he focused on the areas of my body that needed it. It was my first massage in like 3 years. The front desk staff was pleasant and made us excited for our session. Also the lobby smells so good! A week or so after my vacation I wanted to get another massage after the travel back to Cali and my first week of work. I got the membership and went to their Studio City location. The front desk team Patrick and Cassie were so kind to me during check in and after my session. I was offered water and go to chat it up. I was informed that Studio City was the first location?? Well take my word that across CA to Mi the experience at NOW is amazing. Now I know my coast to coast go to locations. My Therapist Jonathan really helped with my upper back. I appreciate him checking in during the session about the pressure level. I will definitely be a long time member since I travel to Michigan a lot I have my own little piece of spa heaven! Thank You all for being kind and welcoming at both locations.

Patrick at the front desk was very warm, welcoming, and fun-- a great way to bookend a relaxing experience. The message therapist, Darien, was so talented, professional, and kind. She asked about any aches and pains, areas to focus on, etc. and walked me through some things she noticed after the massage (like how your girl's dehydrated-- oops). She did some great deep tissue work and listened to my needs. It was an incredibly relaxing experience, and I was able to rest and be present the entire time, which is an anomaly. The space is stunning, the aromatherapy is on point, and the sound of waves transports you. I'm pretty sure this massage solved all my problems, and I'm a whole new woman. I can't wait to treat myself to a membership in the future! P.S. A little pro tip: leave yourself a little extra time for parking, as it can be hit or miss on Ventura Blvd.

She has been in this location for about a year and a half, so pretty recently. Since I was a walk-in, the only Masseuse that was available was Hannah and I was hoping it would turn out great. And boy did it! Hannah was incredible!! So sweet and lovely as well! She went into all the deep nooks and crannies of all my pain and best part was that she didn't rush my massage. She really took her time to address all my issues. And I have a lot of areas that need to be addressed because of my surgeries! I will say it was not completely relaxing all the time because I have a lot of trigger points. But walking out, my body felt refreshed and recharged. So if you want someone who will really address all your areas that need extra help, ask for Hannah and you will not be disappointed!

The reviews here and online ring true--LA bodywork is not just a massage, they are considering a holistic approach to movement, massage, and consider your context and needs for treatment. Parking is not too tough to find on the streets nearby, and there is a small waiting room with some chairs. One note is that there is no clear signage for the establishment, but they are inside a different named business. This is all very clear on their website, but just in case I attached some pictures of the exterior for anyone who likes to know in advance.

I'm delighted that LisaMarie comes to the Sherman Oaks location a couple of days a week now as her skill level is unmatched and even though I don't see her as regularly as the other therapists due to my scheduling conflicts, I can tell you she's worth the wait. Think of LisaMarie as your 100K mile car maintenance; she really sets everything back in place and allows you to perform your best so you can perform in the long run. Rocio is also wonderful, very intuitive, and a true expert. I've been seeing her many times and always feel better when I leave the massage table. Thank you LA Bodywork!
