Tammy was truly incredible. She was so warm, so welcoming and enjoyable to be around. The space was very clean, and energetically wonderful. The service was perfect. Tammy has Magic hands! Before you decide to go anywhere else for a massage, please contact Tammy, the owner of Massage Therapy LA. I receive an annual grant from an organization which pays for massages for me. It was difficult to find a massage therapist initially when I told them that I would pay them with money from a grant. Yet, Tammy was willing, very cooperative, and trusted me with the grant even though I was a complete stranger. She is one of the kindest, most compassionate, and successful business owners I know. She really cares about people, will alter her schedule for your schedule, and provides a quality, very unique, and deeply relaxing massage which she will customize for your needs. I have had many massages from her, and would never go anywhere else. She is definitely a cut above the rest and in a class of her own! read more

First time getting massage at this business. I was met by Tammy the owner and who also does the work. I have multiple health issues including chronic muscle pain. I've had this pain for years, tested for fibromyalgia, RA, lupus etc. Been on pain meds on and off and didn't get the relief I wanted. After my appoinment with Tammy, not only I've learned a lot of stuffs and alternatives, I also felt like a new person walking out of her place of business! I also told her that rolling myself in a golf ball is my everyday thing just so I can relax a bit. She also does this stretching before the massage and let me tell you, I breathe even better and it felt so damn good. I totally recommend her service. If you need relief and wants to feel great book an appt with her! Her personality is also a plus! read more

It's pretty challenging to say something different than the other 5 star reviews for Tammy so I'm just going to say that she's absolutely Wonderful!! I hold a ton of tension in my neck and shoulders and she was able to work out the knots like it was nothing!! If you are a germaphobe like myself and covid scared ya quite a bit, do not worry her home studio was SPOTLESS and she made sure that your hands were cleaned and everything was sanitized before you even sat or laid down. I got a deep tissue massage and feel great! She's very friendly and great person who I would definitely recommend! read more

Thought I had left a review and realized I never ended up posting it because life got too busy. Suffice it to say, massage therapy LA provides a stellar professional service. Five stars all around. read more

I scheduled a sports massage with Tammy a little over a week ago to help treat a nagging knee injury. The moment you arrive at her studio you are greeted with a smile, and someone who wants to understand how they can help. After a brief chat, she recommends a treatment. My session was for 90 minutes. The first thing I noticed was how strong and skilled she was in deep tissue massage. I liked that her studio has natural lighting, tranquil surroundings and calm music playing in the background. She also offers entertaining conversation for no additional cost:) I benefited greatly from her massage and stretching techniques which coupled with my PT has improved my mobility. I would definitely recommend using her for stretching and sports massage. read more

First off, Tammy is a wonderful and kind lady and you can really tell she cares about her clients by the way she wanted to know what was ailing me before she actually started my message. Once she did, goodness, she has gifted, anointed hands and Tammy knows what what she is doing. She is like an Artist with her hands. I had gotten into an accident and I felt like something needed to be adjusted in my lower back and sure enough, my back adjusted. I'm very grateful to Tammy and how she helped me! I would honestly give her 17 Stars if I could. Thank you, again!! read more

Had a wonderful massage. Tammy was professional and attentive. I would recommend to everyone looking for a great massage therapist.

Tammy is an awesome lady and an awesome massage therapist! I've had sciatica for about 3 days that has put me out of commission. I couldn't sit, lay down, or stand without being in excruciating pain. I texted Tammy and she was able to squeeze me in cuz she knew I was hurting. Once I got there, everything was very clean and professional. For the next 90 minutes she gave me a pretty intense sports massage, but explained to me that sciatica requires a massage that is a little harder. It wasn't anything unbearable tho, as she's very skilled in being firm, but keeping it within reason. And she even checked on me the entire time to make sure it wasn't too much. As I write this review about an hour after my massage ended, I feel about 80% better! Which is amazing considering I could barely walk into her office cuz I was in so much pain! So yes, I highly recommend Tammy. And next time my sciatica flares up, I know EXACTLY what to do. Text Tammy and let her do the rest. Thanks so much for relieving my sciatica! read more

My daughter gave birth just 5 days ago. I'm visiting for awhile to help with the baby. Labor was intense and sleepless nights had her back and body in knots. And the stress alone...child birth is not for sissies. I decided to buy her an in-home massage and we were lucky enough to find Tammy. She was sweet and kind and attentive to her specific wants and needs and also did stretching after the massage. My daughter has had many massages in her life and she swears this is the best one of her life. She's really close to my daughters house and I know that Tammy will be her massage therapist from now on. Thank you, Tammy, for coming so soon and for caring so much. I can't tell you how relaxed she is now. Night and Day. Wow! Five stars cause we can't go higher. read more

After going to lots of massage therapist and getting no results I decided to try Tammy. I am going to make this nice and short, I have had back pain for past 20 years and tried many therapist but never had as great result as I got from Tammy. Perfect balanced massage, great personality, loved it .... highly recommended read more

EXTREMELY unprofessional!!! Shocked at how I was treated after writing this review! False advertising - due to the fact that you did not provide some of these services you display on your website as far as specialities & techniques. Also, my experience was not pleasant. Tammy did not create a relaxing environment. When I arrived I realized it wasn't a business it was an apartment (Tammy did not tell me this on the phone) as I arrived, there was a trash bag outside of her door that she had just put out before I got there. When she welcomed me in, she was finishing up cleaning her apartment and started short talk. We then went into the small massage room in her small apartment, which would've been relaxing if her cat wasn't walking around everywhere purring as well as other noises. She did put on some music but Tammy talked the whole 2hour massage about herself, and was boasting about how she went to a weekend resort that cost $10,000, about her rich lifestyle and more. I don't mind if a masseuse talks or wants to converse but it wasn't a two way conversation. It was listening to her talk for 2hours. It was not relaxing at all. I also kept telling her my specific needs as I suffer with Fibromyalgia and she would do what she wanted and would not listen to my directions. I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and I've gotten massages for almost 10 years now, I just would not recommend this service if you're looking for a professional massage and ESPECIALLY professional massage atmosphere! After I wrote this review, I then got a message from Tammy on yelp which I posted below. I'm highly confused as on Yelp she is telling me she did none of what I said and that I am a "hater." But then she texts my cell phone offering a free massage? read more

I've played sports my entire life so I've always been an advocate for proper recovery. Stretching...BCAA's...Cryotherapy... and whatever else was said to work. I can honestly say that despite trying pretty much everything out there, I've never felt better than after a massage from Tammy. She for sure has a magical touch and a calming spirit while so repairs your body. She is by far the best sports massage therapist I've ever encountered. And I look forward to every appointment! Professional, courteous, clean, skilled, kind and knowledgeable. Strong and relaxing at the same time. Highly recommend.

Tammy is amazing! I had a pulled muscle in my neck that had been going for two weeks. I went to a chiropractor who made it 100x worse and then to the doctor who just gave me pain meds to cover the pain. I finally decided to try a massage and i am so glad I did. As someone who doesn't really enjoy massages she made it as painless as possible and within two days of the massage I was able to move my neck from side to side which I hadn't been able to do for over two weeks. She also made sure not to over do it in the injured area which was something the chiropractor did not do. Her space is also extremely nice and relaxing. I highly recommend her especially if you have an injury. read more

Very friendly, very professional, and high quality massage - 20 stars! super clean and very well educated in the healing arts ;)

My first intial visit with Massage Therapy LA was an amazing visit. The back story begins with a back injury, lower lumbar, that happened while building my home. I did something silly and bent over and stood up to fast twisting. My masseus was full of questions trying to discern my needs. After explaining my injury she explained what she was going to do and how I would feel a few days after. She was experienced and knowledgeable about the body and really helped loosen the area so that I was automatically mobile and walking! I am so pleased to tell everyone I am now all healthy! YAY magic hands! I will suggest to everyone to attend to those painful areas and CALL Massage Therapy LA!! read more

Tammy is simply great at what she does! I've been suffering from lower back pain recently and couldn't even sleep the other night when I returned from my vacation because the pain was so bad. Tammy fit me in to her schedule the following day and I'm so glad she did. I've been to some great spa's and pain relief treatment centers and she is top-notch. She focused on my lower back and I slept amazing last night. Today I feel such relief and if you've had back pain you know it can be debilitating and draw your focus from life. I will be fitting a message into my schedule with her regularly! Thank you Tammy! read more

I found Massage Therapy LA here on Yelp and after seeing all the great reviews I booked an appt. with Tammy the same day and went in for a 90-minute massage. Tammy was amazing! Honestly one of the best massages I ever had. I came in originally for a half hour massage plus some extras and I ended up pushing to an hour long massage... Went to Tammy for a massage after going hard in the gym all week. My back was in knots and just overall tightness. First off Her place was very clean and peaceful. She started the massage with a back adjustment which felt heavenly. I could tell I needed it. And was a great addition to just a massage. I then moved to the table and she went to work. I paid for a 60 minute but because it took a little longer than expected she kept going until she finished the job which was probably an extra 15-20 minutes. Left her place feeling like a new man. Thanks Tammy!! I'll be back soon!! read more
