The team worked efficiently, skillfully, and ahead of schedule! It seems like Eagle Construction can build anything you ask them to. Doru is someone I can trust. He stayed in close communication throughout the entire process, always taking the time to answer our questions. As someone who pays close attention to detail, I especially appreciated his precision and craftsmanship. I am so glad we went with him, and his pricing was fair. What stood out most was his honesty and thorough approach. We had reached out to several contractors for quotes, but Doru was the only one who took the time to measure our space accurately and fully understand what we wanted. He never pressured us into additional work and instead offered thoughtful guidance and expert recommendations. Despite working quickly, the final result was of quality and what we envisioned. I would absolutely hire Eagle Remodel again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, detail-oriented work, and people you can trust.

The job was done quickly over just a couple of days and the results are fantastic. My wife and I are VERY happy with the new floors... and that heat on our toes is wonderful. We paid what we expected to pay and no more and there were no surprises of any kind. In short, we have nothing but good things to say about Doru and this company and MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND you consider them for your next flooring job.

Dec 16, 2020, Hired Mike Howard to repair structural damaged to my home caused by extensive dry rot…read moredamage. This was not a trivial job. The dry rot had compromised a main structural corner beam which supported the second story. The repair would first require building a temporary support to hold up the second story while removing the damaged support beam and replacing all of the dry rot wood. The repair process required first coordinating with a structural engineer to design a repair plan and then with the Snohomish County office to issue a repair permit. Mike was very helpful through the entire process. Mike was confident that he could perform the repair safely and within code without an engineering drawing, but suggested that the drawing would likely be required for the county to issue the permit. I decided to get the engineering drawing and Mike was right. The county flat out said that this repair required an engineering review and drawing. I told Mike I would hire him for the job, but only after I saw and understood what the repair plan entailed. Mike met with the engineer to discuss the repair job and then Mike outlined for me exactly how he would complete the repair. While listening to Mike explain the repair process it was apparent to me that he completely understood the structural design of a home. Having a contractor with this type of experience and knowledge was the only way I would go. Mike was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of my questions with integrity and no BS. I decided to take the 2 days off to watch the work performed. Mike had no issues with this. He discussed the work while it was in process and I always felt comfortable with his decisions and confidence. The work was done in accordance to the engineering drawing and the permit was signed off and closed without any issues. The images show the before and after work, minus the exterior wall board nailed up. I decided to repair the drywall and brickwork myself. Thanks for a wonderful job and experience Mike.

After several quotes from different contractors, we decided to go with Cruz Construction because…read moreJose's quote was the most detailed, he was the best at communicating with us, and his prices were reasonable considering the overhaul we wanted to do. We hired him to renovate our *original 1986* en suite master bathroom and guest bathroom and are SO glad we did. We knew our master en suite would be a challenge because we wanted to add a skylight, a wall-to-wall shower niche, and a tub-in-shower wet area. From the start, you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work. Jose meticulously planned every detail; how to reframe around any wiring/pipes for the niche so it can support itself, installing a special drain that not only drains from inside the tub, but also surrounding the tub, sloping the marble floor tiles so the water flows to the individual drains, etc. etc. They were able to completely gut out the en suite, update some damaged framing, reposition/restructure a support beam, fully patch up some light water damage the bathroom had caused, and finish the job on time. He even figured out a way to add a skylight despite the complicated roofline we had. He was very informative every step of the way and I learned SO much. Cruz Construction was also one of the few companies that allowed us to supply finishing materials as an effort to stay under a certain budget for both bathrooms. We ordered all of the fixtures, tiles, grout, lights, toilets, shower doors, etc., but had a hard time finding the right vanity for our space, so Jose was able to supply a custom built one that checked all the boxes! He also supplied a very specific LED light strip for our special shower niche and the grey shower pan to match our floor tiles. Just very thoughtful details that made a huge difference. There were a few hiccups as expected with such a big project with so many moving parts, but Jose was great at correcting and following through on every detail. I also need to mention that they worked so CLEAN! They taped off our floors and stairs the very first day with some quality barriers and swept up at the end of every single day. A detail I really appreciated. Special shout-out to Alex, who was at our house pretty much daily for 6 weeks to lay down all the exquisite tile work and more! Including some before and after photos. As you can see, their work is impressive and if you're a decent project manager who wants to design and order you own finishing materials, Cruz Construction is a fantastic team to work with--you won't regret it. I'll be recommending them to anyone looking for a contractor and I'll be calling them if I decide to reno the kitchen one day!

Understanding that I was on a tight budget, Jose helped me brainstorm ways to design the space to reduce costs while keeping quality finishes, like the beautifully tiled fireplace. He facilitated engagement of a structural engineer and architect, navigated King County' byzantine permit system, and delivered a beautiful and functional space for me family. Definitely recommend.

To Crystal, the business owner of Ace Handyman Services- if you must try to unpaint yourself out of…read morea corner, then know that I will certainly respond. EVERY TIME. Yes I "fired" (not sure why that was in quotes- that's what I did) a contractor who told me our tiny bathroom would be finished in 5 days tops. Because the other bathroom is only a powder room, we already had to shower at the cabana at our condo complex. One worker was sent who started at 9, left for a good 2 hours to go to Home Depot to buy supplies for other customer jobs (all my supplies were pre-bought) and left at 3:00 every day. My husband took a week's vacation to sit in the condo while the bathroom was being worked on and after the 5 days was over, he was not even close. We were then asked to leave our key under the mat so someone could work while we were gone. We reluctantly did this, only to find our key under the mat when we got home, and finding that no one had showed up. That was DAY 12! And the shower mixer wasn't installed correctly, so the water barely got lukewarm. I had to call a plumber to get that fixed, and was lucky enough to call Evan from ProMax Water Heater who walked me through the repair on the phone and I fixed it myself. That guy is the absolute best!!! (Check out my review of Evan from ProMax- he's AMAZING). So YES CRYSTAL, I fired that company. Jeesh. Now, back to you. There was no leftover tile work. The guy set the baseboards and didn't grout them. I finished it myself and it wasn't hard. Now, if you needed to send a tile "expert" to grout 4 feet of baseboard then I'm not sure you understand what grouting 4 feet of baseboard entails. My bathroom needed someone to finish the drywall work. Period. I've explained that several times, so I'm surprised in all your meticulous note-taking that you are still completely confused by that. I did not need a tiling pro- I needed a really decent drywall guy, or maybe I needed the King of Drywall- I don't know, check your notes... And as for all my "really specific" timeframes, I had 10 days off for the holidays. I was told it would take all of 2 days to complete this little job (including draping plastic over the toilet and vanity, which I calculate would take 5 minutes if your guy was also a plastic-draping expert too). There would be one day in between for the mud to thoroughly dry, so 3 days total. I'm a pretty fast learner, so no, I wasn't going to leave the key under the mat again- I had 10 days off and was told the job could happen during that time. If it was such a heartache for you to schedule around the holidays because employees want to take time off, then here's what I would've said, "We'd love to take a look at your job, but we won't have anyone available until after the New Year." See how easy that is? Clients have the right to expect excellent, transparent, professional communication. I am not being difficult in my request that work done IN MY HOME is conducted during a time that works best for me. That doesn't make me high maintenance, it makes me organized.
