All Right Garage Doors NW worked on my home shortly after I purchased it. The current garage setup I had was very dangerous; only one door had censors, the cable and coil strength was not proportionate to the door weight at all, and one of the motors was original to the home, 25 years old! I want to get new doors in the spring (just don't have the money now) so I asked the tech to redo everything in preparation for new doors. He installed new tracks, motors, openers, outside keypad, etc. Everything works perfectly, very professional tech, cleaned up the garage space spic and span when he left. My garage door got backed into and slowly began to crack until it got to a point it wouldn't open/close. I called All Right and another local company for bids. The first company came, was here for 5 mins then left me with a bid. Dave from All Right did the same but also patched the door with a temporary fix instead of leaving me high and dry. I decided to go with All Right bc Dave was really good and you can tell he loves his job and is good at it. He showed me several other things (changing out my key pad, re-adjusted my door closing height, re-connected my sensors and upgraded the rollers to nylon ball bearing). The very first time I needed garage door repair, I called David based on his excellent reviews. That was 5 years ago. Since then, I have had him do repairs 4 times (2 different houses, running into my own garage, worn out springs, etc). He is THE BEST. I even have him programmed into my phone. The first time I called him to replace a spring. He came on time, was super professional, very nice, honest and fair. You just can't get better than that! The second time I ran into my garage door backing out of garage before it was all the way up. I was in a hurry taking my child to school, and after I backed into it, the door would not close! I called him on the way to school at 7 AM, and he was miraculously there at 7:30 (he doesn't even do business till 8 AM). I thought for sure I would need a new door. He somehow fixed it with magic and told me to save my money in case I moved. That door still looks great! So then I moved and had to get a new garage door opener on a super low ceiling. David took care of that in no time at all. His prices are GREAT. My most recent emergency was yesterday. I was closing the sale of my house in less than 24 hours and discovered that my other garage door opener was not working. Fantastic Service! We had a broken spring replaced on our garage door. The quote over the phone was descriptive and accurate, and he came out on a weekend. Very friendly, prompt, and professional - he calls to let you on when he will be there and was prompt. When we had a problem with our door 4 months later, he came out that same day to look at it. I contacted All Right Garage Doors for an estimate on a garage repair and was extremely pleased! David was able to determine what panels I needed by photos and didn't even need to come out. He didn't try to sell me a whole door -like another company did by saying the panels were no longer available! When I explained there was a problem with the opener also he gave me estimates on cost and said he would look at it and only replace it if needed. When the panels arrived, he came out made the repair, noticed there was a wire unplugged on the opener; plugged it back in and no charge (unlike the company that said it needed replaced). I called David to proactively have our springs replaced. David provided me with a fair quote and was here 20 minutes later. David checked the garage door springs and told me they still had life in them and located the date of manufacture on the door which was only 2012. So instead of just taking my money for something that didn't need to be done, he let me know it wasn't yet necessary, and even took the time to lubricate the garage door's bearings and what not, with no charge. Came home to find that the garage door wouldn't go up due to a broken tension spring. I called All Right Garage Doors, Inc and Dave answered at 7pm at night and asked me to text him some pictures. I was initially concerned that he would recommend replacing more than just the broken parts as the door is from 1961but he did not. He knew right away what kind of spring it needed and promised to come out a day later between 9-11am and make the repair for an estimated 285 dollars. True to his word he showed up as planned and the repair was completed in about 45 minutes and for the estimated cost. My wife was home alone and was completely comfortable Dave. We originally had David come out to look at our Garage Door back in January, 2019 due to some unusually noises. He was highly professional in all of his interfaces with us and showed us how we could tune-up the door. The sound level dropped by 80%. David insisted that he would not take a payment since he had not done any actual repair work. This is when we knew the integrity of who we were working with in David. The torsion spring on our garage door broke Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I looked online and read about things to watch out for when hiring out for repair. Read reviews on yelp and decided to give David a call Friday morning. He gave me what I believed was a fair quote and was out later that morning and repaired the door. He did warn me that it could be more depending on what he found. He was very polite and professional, and came in right at his quote. Since we purchased our home in 2011, we had nothing but problems with the garage door opener that came with the house. Eventually the device went out and we called one of the large garage door repair companies to repair. They ended up sending out a subcontractor who barely spoke English and wound up charging us nearly $700 to replace our garage door opener. We were in a tight spot and had no time for a second opinion. The technician did a crappy job and the unit wobbled like crazy. The unit lasted less than 2 years due to the bad installation and that's when we called All Right Garage Doors NW. David came out in the evening after we were home from work. He inspected everything and gave us a few options. What I was most pleasantly surprised by was A) David's honesty and B) his service ethics. He didn't try to up sale us and didn't even charge us for the consultation. Ultimately we decided to replace the unit one more time. David tore down the inferior installation, installed a new unit, braced it properly (sturdy enough he could hang from the unit), installed new key pads and then installed a new support strut on our garage door. I called David Christensen shortly after moving into our brand new home in Puyallup, to have a garage door opener installed. He was able to come quickly and installed our new opener. However, because of how the builders constructed our garage support beam, it caused a problem with opening our garage door fully (one panel hung down). The only solution was to purchase a side by side opener (top of the line) which then required us to have an outlet installed near the top of the door. (No problem) :) We used the first opener for two days, before Dave came back with the nicer opener and re-installed it for us. He was very kind and accommodating to our needs and made us a priority. My tension spring broke on my garage door. I called Dave asking for a quote. He was very relaxed and low pressure. Gave me a set price for a one spring or two spring replacement. I had installed insulation paneling on my door after it broke, and before it was fixed. I asked him a bunch of questions regarding preferred styles and how it would affect my spring choice. He was extremely patient and provided me a ton of extra info. I called around to a few other companies to gauge his pricing. All the other companies were greasy and high pressure. I liked that he was a local small company, honest, up front and his pricing was very fair/comparable if not far better. He came the same day and provided a fix. I watched him work as I was interested in learning about the fix. He walked me through step by step. He even did a once over inspection on my whole system.
