Pulling up it was busy, the skinny long hair guy was nice enough in getting me checked in with just…read morean oil change and an air filter swap which I provided my own because for some reason they're not commonly in stock at places like this, the guy said if it is easy enough they won't charge and I said I wouldn't mind paying for it if necessary. After roughly 25 minutes of waiting it was my turn to pull up. They started on the oil change and I noticed they're filling it with unlabeled oil jugs, I paid for full synthetic and would have liked to see the original jugs used as to ensure I got what I paid for and they seemed to struggle getting the oil filter housing open which seemingly exhausted the guy. When he was about to close the hood is when he asked about the filter as it was on the paperwork, he said because it's difficult to access it will be $120 to swap out. At first I was appalled because I did it before and I know it only has 3 torx screws and a hose clamp to remove but figured they were just being lazy or trying to reach a target time as I kept hearing them talk about how long cars were there for along with some banter about possible unionization efforts... So eventually I agreed to get it done, the manager seemed annoyed and reiterated its $120 and will be at least 30 minutes. I said that's fine because I know it was in dire need of getting done and I know I'd procrastinate even more if I'm doing it myself again... So sure enough, when it came time to pay it was $315. So, I won't be returning. They over charge like crazy. $120 to spend ~10 minutes actually working on it to change an air filter on a 2014 C class. (he'd start and run off somewhere to make it seem longer)... my cabin filter is in need of replacement too and if they found the air filter difficult and worth $120 in labor then I'd have to take out a 2nd mortgage to get the cabin filter changed, with that one you have to remove 4 bolts and peel back the carpet I emailed social@speedeecorp.com already
