Make sure to have a screenshot of coupon because I wasn't able to get serviced with the discount without it despite it literally being on the front page of their website. There is no cellular data in the area so website won't load, I literally drove around and was only able to get the text of the coupon (not photo) and the guy at front still refused so I took my business elsewhere. read more

Awesome awesome service. I brought my 04 acura in right at closing and Anthony was more than happy to help me. He had one other car in front of me but still was willing to smog my car. The total was about 58 bucks which is a bit high compared to other shops but at least i didn't have to wait 3 hrs+. Definitely will be coming back here again. read more

Anthony helped me out today, I called ahead to see how much the smog would cost & about how long the wait would be. He said it was $58 and would take around 5 minutes since he wasn't working on any cars. I got there shortly after the call and he got right to it! It literally was so quick & easy! This place is my Smog Check center of choice in Tracy! I have been to other test centers and they always want to sell you additional services that are not required!! Tracy Smog Center is, 1). Strictly smog checks ONLY 2). No frills service 3). You check in, have a seat in the tiny waiting area, watch some TV and wait a few minutes 4). You are in and out within 15min if you show up on a weekday. Saturday's you will wait up to 1hr. I would give 5 stars if they had 2 car bays rather than 1. If all you need is a smog test for your registration renewal, this is the place. If you want to be told that you need a gas cap, spark plugs, a tune up or new muffler and your car is 2-5 yrs old, go to Speedy Lube, Jiffy Lube or some other crack pot center! read more

These are very friendly people. Luckily my car passed but the person who was there before me didn't. They told the guy that after he got it fixed he would get a free retest so that makes it a little better. :P The place doesn't feel like a smog shop, that's mostly due to the fact that their a test only center so they don't have a lot of greasy cars sitting around. Reasonable price and easy location. Service............5/5 Parking............5/5 Atmosphere....5/5 (compared to other shops) Would I visit again?........Yeah, they're very nice people unlike some places here in the east bay. read more

I recommend this smog station. I live in Modesto and heard about this smog station and it's owner so I drove to Tracy . I was able to drive up without an appointment and get a smog check within minutes. This young man is professional and has tremendous knowledge regarding car mechanics. It's awesome to see such a young adult run his own shop and have aspirations to do bigger things. I encourage Tracy residents to support this young man and his shop. read more

Took my truck in for SMOG and was Failed for "rpm out of tolerance". Had my mechanic take a look; he showed me the readings on the monitor and everything was up to spec. Took truck back again and the guy said the same thing; "rpm out of tolerance". I then went to a place in Livermore for a new test and passed with no problem. Very polite but couldn't get the job done. Threw away $60 with these guys. read more

On this occasion and due to what appears to be change of ownership and staff my experience was horrendous. I wont get into details but will say the customer service and professionalism were at an extreme low. I will never ever go to this station again nor refer anyone else to do so. Avoid like the plague! My usual place on 11th was closed on 3rd and 4th of July. Ended up here just to get it done as they were open: a huge mistake. The old man was rude just to start it off couldn't communicate to tell me that the tech is gone for lunch. This is where it gets good; I tell the tech(once he shows up) that my regular guy is closed and car passes fine. He pops the hood and says something is missing I am like no there isn't just relocated my battery so there is an empty space. Pulls out his phone probably tries to google whatever he needs to know, 5 minutes later says can't find whats missing but "it has been tampered". At this point I told him not to bother as I am going to take it to my regular guy. Yet decided to fail my car and that I owed him money for opening the hood of my car and not knowing anything about my car. Long story short guy lies about having my keys and tries to go grab it out of my car. Even if my car didn't pass his standard do you really need to lie about having the car key and then basically attempt to break in and steal the key out of my ignition? If a business is really struggling this hard for 50 bucks that should say it all. read more

I went to the local "Shack" knowing I needed a new O2 sensor. I was told my truck has the wrong catalytic converter and they could not smog it. Well knowing my original was stolen and replaced with aftermarket, and had already passed smog 2 years ago I knew something was fishy. I called up Tracy Smog Center where my Truck had its smog in 2013. I didn't have my paperwork but Jonathan was able to verify it was taken here, and passed. I decided to just get the sensor I knew I needed. I took my Truck to him, and he showed me the paperwork that says it is indeed the correct catalytic converter. Since my check engine light had just been cleared from the O2 sensor, I drove it to the Bay for an errand the next day. I brought it back around 4 after driving all day and it passed just fine. Jonathan went above and beyond for me and I am so grateful I could get the smog without paying an extra $200 on a part I DID NOT NEED. I would highly recommend going to Tracy Smog Center and have Jonathan do your smog. Service with a smile, and it took all of 15 minutes! Best experience you could ask for! read more
