Short Summary - excellent service, quality install, parts…read more Originally, I was going to use Prestige Mister, out of Mesa (they manufacture high quality mister pumps and get great reviews.) They refer installs and recommend Senor Mist. Rex (former owner, now employee who sold to his son) came out, took a look at what we wanted, made recommendations, and wrote an est. They use Prestige pumps, but also one or two other companies, depending on the required pump capacity -- much more involved than my DIY mind thought! Anyway, they did go with Prestige. I'd told him I hoped to go with a local manufacturer for quality and ideally wanted American made. We just had pavers laid and the pergola installed and I blew it by not planning misters in advance of construction. So, we'd either had to remove some pavers and lay the water line to one of the pergola posts (I didn't want to do that) or we could have laid the line on top of the pavers with a protective cover you could step over, but that would have been a little tacky. The Pergola is about 7 feet away from brick wall and I'd wanted misters on that, too. Rex did not push at all getting them on the Pergola as well and felt that on the wall would be sufficient. He could have pushed that, and I probably would have agreed, so appreciate him not trying to squeeze out extra work. Worse case is, I have it done in the future. 50% down payment required and had to tap water from inside of the house (we have soft water inside, but not out.) Had a recommended plumber take care of that. Made the down payment, and two weeks later, misters installed. Second day - still playing with them, but so far, so good. When windy, the mist blows over the fence, so not as effective, but in the evening very nice and in our covered patio definitely cools. Professional installation with quality parts is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Would highly recommend (and use again, should the need arise.)

Excellent Sales, Poor Workmanship, Ignored by the Company…read more I found AZ Shade Masters at a recent home show and was impressed with their presentation, product, and information about pergola options. I obtained bids from four firms and AZ Shade Masters provided a detailed and competitive bid for my planned 4K Aluminum pergola. Unfortunately, the installation is where things went sideways, and AZ Shade Masters ignored my concerns: 1. White caulk on the roof is visible from ground level - The installer advised "I" can fix this by painting the caulk with matching spray paint, but it may take several coats. 2. Closer inspection with a ladder revealed caulk haphazardly applied with drips left wherever they fell. 3. Frame beams were cut too short, and gaps are filled with wide beads of painted caulk. 4. Metal shavings were left in the rain gutter along with a metal scrap cut to allow water drainage. 5. Gussets of unequal length were accidentally installed requiring the correctly sized shorter gusset to be replaced to match the longer to avoid leaving exposed holes in the posts. The installers had the design plan in hand but suggested they could install my pergola however I wanted. I stressed several times they should follow the plan and was forced to correct them when they attempted to deviate (for example: eliminating gussets when they were to be included and sloping the frame beams instead of installing them level). One even suggested I was "OCD" for insisting they follow the plan. (I DID accept one of their suggestions and shortened the pergola height by six inches which was a solid recommendation). After discovering the caulk issues, I texted photos to both my salesman and the company manager. I also left voicemails and a message with the showroom. I connected with the salesman who advised some aspects of the caulking are "normal" but not all and he deferred to his manager for any remediation. I have heard nothing since from AZ Shade Masters. While the crew was personable, installation quality leaves much to be desired (the photos speak for themselves). I should note the installers have the customer sign a form that there are no concerns after installation is complete. I signed as I was largely satisfied and the pergola looks good at first glance, but closer inspection reveals issues not apparent from ground level. These issues combined with the lack of response from the company prevent me from recommending AZ Shade Masters.

He did the work himself with the help of his team, but he was clearly the one leading and making sure every detail was done right. Even when Phoenix had an unusual week of rain, he stayed in touch to make sure our materials were safe. I left several messages they never called back. I called again days later & they answered. They had someone go out and give me an estimate and I was told they could get to it on a certain day, that day came and went with no phone call. I called the following day to find out when they were going to get out for the repair. The woman who answered the phone said she had no idea. NO IDEA? What? There is no communication between the front, the workers and the customer, whatsoever. A little back story, when they had previously worked on my parents awning, they put in the wrong size of screws. So it had been going on for years, screws falling out but my Dad would just screw them back in. They would work their way out again, which was a constant thing but it had been too long since they did the work for my Dad to bring it to their attention. (I didnt live in AZ in 2021 so I had no idea this was happening almost weekly). When they came to do an estimate, they admitted that they put in the wrong size screws 5 years earlier. Now it's time for them to do the actual work.And then they don't show up, then they say it's going to be a another week before they can get to it. I wasnt happy about that but was going to take that appointment anyway, he interrupted and said " you know what, to make it easier on everybody I suggest you go find someone else"! They didn't want to deal with my issue and that they're really not making any money off of my small job, just go somewhere else. In the meantime, its been 2 weeks of waiting for them to show up, now I have to start the whole process over. Needless to say, I was shocked that a company would tell me to go somewhere else because they didn't make enough money on my job or want to deal with the situation, but in midsentence of trying to respond, he hung up on me! Mesa Awning does not stand behind their work. Word-of-mouth can be the best advertising and/or the worst advertising. I would never go to this company ever again and I will tell everyone I know not to use Mesa Awning. I looked at some other reviews and apparently the communication hasn't gotten better in 5 years. Also they dont clean up after themselves which is a big turn-off for anyone. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your awning needs!

I had 9 windows covered with sun screen shades (others were done in previous years by another company) knowing the hot summer was around the corner. I got a mailer from All Pro Shade Concepts (APSC) and did some research to see what my options were for sun shade screen companies and reviews of companies. I decided to have APSC come out and give me an estimate. Danny came out on scheduled day. He was running late and phoned me to let me know his ETA. He arrived when said and was here 15 minutes measuring windows, compiling an estimate, and discussing guarantee and options. He was very professional and efficient. I decided to go with the estimate on the spot because I had sun screen shades installed several years ago and knew about what it would cost, and they were very competitive and reasonable for the product. Said they could have them installed in 10 days or less. They called to schedule the installation, and was scheduled within the timeframe given. The installer was a very genuine, kind person who efficiently installed the screens. No surprises. Product was good quality upon my inspection. The installer didn't have a credit card swipe issued to him that day, so the company called a couple of days later to take payment over the phone. They followed up emailing me the receipt. The product and installation are guaranteed for 2 years. I was very happy with my experience, and don't anticipate any problems. If any arise, I feel confident that APSC will take care of me. Last year just prior to COVID19 lockdown, we had begun working with Brok Butts, a salesman with All Pro Shades concepts. When we requested a proposal for a 20 Foot + mechanized drop screen, he showed up at our house and very professionally explained our options and prepared a quote. A few days later, we went into lockdown and life went "on hold". A couple of months ago when the Arizona COVID 19 situation stared to tone more favorably, we again contacted Brok and told him we wanted to revise our original request and get a new proposal. Again, we met and he provided a new proposal that addressed all our concerns. He said it would be about eight to ten weeks before our shed would be available for installation. In early November we received a call let us know our screen was ready for installation. We coordinated a date and time (November 5 between 8AM and 9AM. The installation team was George and Manny. While in route to my house, they call to keep me informed - "we're about 13 minutes away..." They arrived on schedule, told us specifically what was involved with the installation. For. The next two hours the team work diligently and professionally. When completed they explained how to operate and maintain the screen, and explained the warrantee. The cleaned up the work area thoroughly and left. We are extremely pleased with the communications, the professional service and the finished product. Outstanding Service and Quality from All Pro Shades I recently had two motorized shades installed on my back patio by All Pro Shades, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the very first visit, Scott was incredibly informative--he walked me through the entire process, explained all the available options, and provided a clear, competitive quote. While I had other companies come out for estimates, All Pro Shades stood out for their exceptional customer service, high-quality materials, and overall professionalism. That made the choice an easy one. Scheduling the install was simple, and when I had to delay due to another construction project, they were more than accommodating and helped me reschedule without any issues. We found All Pro at the Home & Garden show in Phoenix. We'd always wanted to put up a retractable awning but the price always seemed too high and the fabric/patterns too limited. After talking with Jason at the show and getting a great ball-park quote for our fairly large patio, and getting to see the swatch book of Sunbrella materials we decided to go for it. Unfortunately the 3rd party shipping company handling the awning coming in from California managed to damage ours in transit. Jason understood our disappointment in what would have been a week long delay in getting a new one manufactured and installed and literally went the extra mile (make that several hundred miles) to drive over, stay in a hotel, and pick up the awning personally. He and his excellent crew were out here the next morning installing it.. on a Saturday! This shaved off a few days and allowed us to still get our awning in time before company was coming to visit/stay with us for a week. I can't say enough about these guys and All Pro's ethics and business practices. All Pro Shade exceeded our expectations. We 1st met Jason at the home show in Scottsdale. Very nice guy and informative. He promptly called the following week to schedule an appointment for an estimate. We walked around the house and chatted about color and % material to us on the shades as well as patio coverings etc. Needless to say, we said "lets do it" and scheduled an Install for the shades. Once scheduled, Gabriel called about an hour prior to showing up letting me know he was on his way. He showed up promptly and was very nice and easy going as well. He laid out the shades and matched them up with each of the windows prior to installing making sure everything went smooth. Install was fairly quick and painless. Gabriel made sure he cleaned up after himself (wasn't any mess anyways) and walked the house to make sure everything looked good (which it did). Whomever fabricated the shades/frames was spot on... so kudos to that person. I also spoke to Robert a couple a times, and he was very nice and polite just like the rest of them. We initially ordered two motorized shades from All Pro Shade Concepts and after using them this past summer for the extreme heat, we knew we had to close off the third opening for the winter months. What do I love about these shades? *Sturdy - they stand up against the grueling sun and the wind *Unfailing - they always work just as expected *Quality - the metal is powder coated and looks great. They are heavy duty metal, the motor is quiet, the shade material is top notch, smooth as silk operation. *Weather - keeps my patio 20 degrees cooler in the summer, keeps the wind at bay, and now I get to use my outdoor fireplace to enjoy my outdoor living room in comfort. *Installers - professional, ON TIME!!!!, clean up afterwards. Our install team included Kevin, Harry and Garret. What a great team. They were very respectful of our property, did an absolutely beautiful install and finished right on time. They took some pictures for their records (and I did too). Before they left, they gave me a great tutorial about how to operate the shades, what things I should watch out for (heavy winds), how the auto-retraction system worked, how the remotes worked, the whole nine...and I really appreciated it. I felt very comfortable with the operation of the shades when they were finished. If you want to have a shade system in your backyard, these are the guys to call. My name is John King I live up near i-17 and carefree highway I came across all Pro shades concept through advertisement .and I met a gentleman by the name of Danny that work for this co.I showed my concerns about shade screens on my two story house ,and I was surprised how quick how professional, and how great the price was installing shade screens. my backside of my two story house faces the south and it gets the Sun majority of the day.and the rooms are constantly warm even though I had window tint put on them. after I had the shade screens installed, I have to honestly say the temperature has dropped at least 10 degrees in that room it is now the end of April and for the record I have yet had to turn on my air conditioner this year. The experience of working with All Pro, from initial consultation to finished results, couldn't have gone any smoother and my husband and I are extremely satisfied with the final result! Not only did we notice a significantly cooler and more comfortable interior immediately after installation, we also received numerous compliments on the added curb appeal to our house - which is a bonus we weren't expecting. All Pro Shade Concepts is absolutely fantastic. I had a large 25' patio shade installed by another company ( Sunshader By Design, James Mello, Now Havana Shade ). I started having problems with the shade about a month ago. I contacted the owner of the old shade company and could never get Mr. Mello to commit to a time to come back and fix the problems. He either doesn't take calls or says he is going to schedule someone to come out but never get a time or a call back. I tried for a couple weeks to no avail. Knowing that there were other distributors of the KE Durasol zipper shade I had installed, I contacted the other distributor. I made ONE phone call to Robert with All Pro Shade Concepts. Explained my situation. He had his installation tech's come out the following Monday at the time discussed. They repaired the issues with my screen, advised me that my wind sensor was installed incorrectly, Fixed the wind sensor and then advised me that Robert told them all the work was at NO CHARGE. I just recently got an awning and patio shade installed on my home. Everything from creating what we wanted to the installation was great and easy. Nick came to our home to help with the design. He took measurements and explained our options to us. He walked us through picking out colors and material. He was super friendly and made the design process a breeze. (I will add... He also assisted with my parents home and they really appreciated him as well, which is why they referred me to call him directly) Steve & Eric came to do the installation. They showed up in the window they said they would. They were both friendly and did the job without any disturbance to us while in the home. The cleaned up after they were done. And they took the time to walk me through how to use everything and even gave some tips. They were awesome to work with. I found out about All Pro Shade Concepts through a friend who recently had screens installed on her windows. I had just purchased a house and was delayed in calling for an appointment. I mentioned All Pro Shade Concepts to another friend who made an appointment with Robert. The friend told Robert about me and how I recently purchased a home and wanted to install shade screens. Robert called me after the appointment and was able to meet with me right then. Robert was courteous, professional and informative without being a pushy salesman. Nick reviewed and spoke to us and helping us decide what we needed for the area we were looking to cover. These guys are awesome! I called several different companies for quotes on sunscreens for our new home. One guy called me right back said he was busy and would call me back the next day, but never heard from him again. Another one I spoke to said to give him measurement over the phone and he would call back with a price wich he did and was a bit cheaper than All Pro but I just knew when he came out to install that would all change(didn't have a good feeling). One more called me back a WEEK later after we already had them installed by All PRO. Robert from All Pro Shade Concepts called right away and scheduled to come out for an estimate on a Monday. When he arrived he took measurements and had a figure in minutes. I called him right after he left told him we want to go with them and he said they could have it done on Wednesday. A wonderful company. I worked to get bids from several providers. There were only 2 that responded in a meaningful manner. All Pro Shade was the most responsive and most professional. Brok Butts was a great help. He really understood what I wanted: a system that would truly seal off our patio making it into another room if we elected to lower the screens fully; keep critters out. This was during Covid, so things were a little slow until the installation could be performed, but the screens did arrive, and the crew did a great job with installation. Where the screen slides down the zipper bars had a little space off the wall due to the design by Shea Homes, so All Pro brought fillers in for that gap. In one area the bottom brushes of the screen did not seal completely. Brok got hold of the manufacturer, there was a larger brush for the bottom of the screen, Brok ordered it and installed it for free. This is a classy system sold by a solid company/All Pro Shade. read more

I had put off getting quotes for sunscreens for far too long. I contacted three places based on Yelp reviews. All Pro Shade Concepts had the best price and their service could not possibly have been better. Danny set a time to come out to our house and measure. He was there when he said he would be. I appreciated his expertise and the suggestions he made. Two weeks later I was out of town when the screens were installed, but again the installers were right on time and gave a courtesy call to my husband a few minutes ahead of arrival. When I arrived back home I was thrilled with the screens and they have really helped to decrease the heat coming into our house, especially our master bedroom on the west side. Don't be like me and put off your decision to get shade screens and get them from these guys, you won't be disappointed. Another thing, Danny handled filling out the paperwork for our SRP Rebate. I first spoke with Robert who was patient & flexible with me in getting an estimator to my house despite my somewhat unpredictable schedule at this time. Danny did my estimate. He gave me a wealth of information and was a friendly positive guy, fun to talk with. Brian showed up two weeks later per the schedule we set up and just finished the install of my sunscreens. He was fast and did a clean and thorough job on the install. I notice as the sun is shining brightly the screens are certainly blocking out much of the heat (great improvement over my old screens) while letting an adequate amount of light in. I called All Pro after a few neighbors recommended them. This was my second quote for sun screens. My first quote, from another Phoenix sunscreen company (I wrote a quick yelp review on them too), came in twice the amount of All Pros and this company kept texting me to commit quickly - now I know why. The All Pro folks came on time to give me an estimate and they were not pushy - they were very professional and they gave me some options to consider. A few days later, they showed up on time to do the work and they did an excellent job. I highly recommend them. There are some shady companies out there - do your homework and get at least two quotes. Cost isn't everything, but you will quickly discover when you meet the company reps which ones are professional and which ones are shady. I made the terrible mistake of waiting until June to start shopping for sunscreens. I called all around the valley to several sunscreen vendors. After many unreturned voicemails and emails sent off to go unanswered, I came across All Pro. I called and was able to get a real human on the phone! They set up a time to come give me an estimate. A nice, professional gentlemen came out and gave me a quote that was about 75% of what I was expecting. The installer came out the next week, and installed our sunscreens. All Pro also helped me fill out our SRP rebate form! The sunscreens look great on my house, they do an excellent job keeping light and heat out. I have yet to get my first power bill, but its 11:30a and 101 outside and neither of my AC units are on and the house is still a pleasant 76 degrees. I'll take that as a good sign. 5/5 would All Pro Shade Concepts again. read more

Southwest Sun Screens was one of my first calls based on their strong reviews and excellent feedback. I knew the moment Ryan answered the phone that I was talking with someone who genuinely cared about his company and earning my business. Ryan answered all my questions and offered solutions and ideas based on his extensive experience. It was like talking with a trusted friend who is an expert in his field. He came to the house exactly when he said he would and we talked "everything screens and windows". He is super knowledgeable and friendly and was willing to share best practices and his best results so that our screens were exactly what we wanted. He measured multiple times to ensure everything was perfect and would fit tight. The doors that the screens are going into are custom, and therefore not exactly, perfectly straight and square, though you would never know by looking at them. He helped us decide on the fabric, the frame, the design and the clips to hold the screens in place, always guiding us using our happiness as his barometer, which I really appreciated. Ryan and his partner came back to do the install and arrived exactly when they said they would. The screens didn't quite fit, too tight (no good deed goes unpunished, right? He wanted them tight) and he was beyond apologetic and explained exactly what had happened. He said he felt bad and wanted to get it right for us, but that he would do whatever it takes to remake the screens without costing us an additional penny, and even said if we decided we didn't want them, he would understand. I truly wasn't upset about this at all, there will be glitches with everything, that's not the question, the question is "how does the company handle it?" Ryan couldn't have handled it better, again, keeping our happiness and satisfaction "top of mind." You just don't find this type of caring service very often. He remeasured several more times and we discussed exactly what he would modify to make it work for us. He returned precisely when he said he would, always texting to let me know he was on his way, with the new screens, got them all installed, even installed some weatherstripping I had purchased to shore up a small gap from the door not being 100% square.They look incredible. I couldn't ask for more in terms of quality, timeliness, conscientiousness, care and honesty. I highly recommend Southwest Sun Screens to anyone and everyone, even if you're just shopping around, call and speak with Ryan and he will make you feel like family. The good kind of family, not the "annoying relative on Thanksgiving" kind :-)
