They took careful…read moremeasures to improve ventilation as well as replace all the damaged decking, going the extra mile to do it correctly instead of covering it up. Their business is a well run machine, from the estimate process through scheduling to installation. The teamwork was impressive and they worked late to finish our job on time. We can't say enough about how pleased we are with the job neighborhood roofing did on Mom's house…read more Professional, courteous and so responsive. We were trying very hard to be ready for the home to go on the real estate market in March. Neighborhood keep us abreast of the weather/schedule and came and did the job as soon as the weather allowed. They kept both the integrity of the roof and the need to meet a time deadline in mind and really helped us out. We are homeowners not roofing professionals, it was nice to know that they've been in Ann Arbor for so long, to know that they are well thought of in the community. We were able to trust them in their pricier advice. And for the scope of the work I feel the price was fair. A roof costs money, doing a roof the right way costs money but at least I know we paid a fair price for a job well done. They offer a long warranty and it's for the roof not for the owner so it transfers to new owners easily. And we know from conversations with multiple real estate agents that the warranty is solid! They were also happy to coordinate with our painter so he could do some painting work along side and in conjunction. This was a big help and made the whole process so much easier than having to do it in two separate steps! Our family highly recommends Neighborhood for all your roofing needs!

I got an estimate from them for siding our house a year ago. I didn't go with them. Let me tell…read moreyou, I SHOULD'VE GONE WITH THEM! The company that did my work didn't do that great of a job. This year my siding cracked ( I have a warranty). I called that company several times and emailed and they said in 1-2 weeks they would be out. Never came out. I emailed and called with NO call backs. So, I decided to call this place to see if they would do a repair even though they didn't do the original job. I sent photos and a description and they gave me a price over email without coming to see the job. I agreed. They said 1-2 weeks. Very next day, I got a call they were going to come fix it. It took the guy less than an hour to fix the repair. After waiting several months from the original company to come fix their work, this company did it. I should've just hired these guys to do it in the first place. The least I can do is give these guys a good review for their speedy repair.

I hate leaving bad reviews for local businesses, but I asked this company to install a used…read morebasketball hoop. The workers came over on time and were very nice, but apparently there was some question about the integrity of the hoop itself. They installed it without asking any questions, and after they left I noticed the hoop could only extend to a max of 6 feet tall, rendering it useless. Why wouldn't you talk to me before you cemented it in? Now I'm out $225 and all they offered to do is cut it down and I got the reply " we did what you asked us to do." * update: the "Fabulous Mr. Fix It" still hasn't removed the hoop as promised. Did anyone notice how the respondent was defensive and didn't try to rectify the situation? Ya... me too. (4/23/2020)

The pluses were that they scheduled quickly, stayed in close touch, and were very pleasant to work with. This past Easter season, I came in to do some work and witnessed several employees of Jeff's in scaffolds and ladders repairing and painting the ceilings. It was like an Easter Miracle! And it's always such a pleasure to go into the downstairs restroom, which was completely renovated years ago by Jeff and his team. Over the years, there have been too many contributions to list, but I wanted to take the time to publicly express my appreciation for all he and his team have done for so many years. Thank you!!!

The first two places tried to sell me a huge job to dig trenches all along the perimeter and put drains it. Ben immediately told me that wasn't the source of the issue. It was rod holes and a crack in the walls that was letting some moisture in. I had to convince him to quote me a larger job, which he did do (just to be safe) and he was still the cheapest quote from the bunch. I chose him not because of the price (although he was the cheapest) but because he was the most knowledgeable and was not trying to sell me up. To the contrary he was talking me out of the job. It took longer then expected but I'm not upset about that since they seemed to have done a thorough job and were very attentive when I pointed out areas I wanted addressed. I would recommend them to anyone needing their basement waterproofed.

The first time was five years ago in one area of my basement with groundwater leaking in (heavy snow-melt). Since they did their job, that part of my basement is dry as a bone. This year, a different area of my basement had the same issue, and they applied the same kind of solution. Their entire crew is professional and polite. They show up ON TIME and do good work. They are very careful to control the dust and prevent making a huge mess, and they do a very good job of cleaning up after the job. My wife has concrete dust allergies, and even she hasn't complained! I definitely recommend this firm!
