Green Oak Gutter did an awesome job replacing the original 5" gutters on my house. After discussing different options with their representative I decided to go with 6" black K-style seamless gutters. I love the finished look! The larger size and changing the color to black totally improved and updated the look of the house. Most importantly, the larger size gutters are able to handle any amount of rain that a storm brings. From start to finish everything turned out great! The whole team was very professional, easy to work with, and paid attention to detail. I was especially impressed on how they made sure there were no nails or metal scraps anywhere once the job was complete. The crew showed up on time, communicated well, and made the whole process smooth. SHAME ON YOU!!! STAND BY YOUR WORK!!! It's unfortunate. We live in a brand new house, been here less than a month. Had a few rain events that have pointed out to us that we have a watershed failure. Greenoak put 5" gutters/downspouts on our home which clearly isn't enough. The worst part, we called them out to look at it, thinking they would stand by their work, or work with us at the very least. They treated us like brand new customers and quoted us $5500 to replace the brand new 5" gutters and downspouts with something bigger... hmmm. 1. Clearly, They don't know what they're doing, if they did they would have taken one look at my house and known it would need bigger gutters in the first place. Up your math skills G.O.... 2. They are dismissive and the owner should be embarrassed with their work and pay for the fix from his own pocket out of sheer mortification. I would've paid for bigger gutters and bigger downspouts the first time, I'm not paying for materials and labor twice! Shame on you!!!! Haaaaa! Ironically my neighbor who hasn't moved in yet JUST texted me as I'm typing this and asked us if our gutters are failing! I guess now Greenoak is going to have two customers on their butt... maybe three when our other neighbor moves in.... We know you have insurance for crap like this. Make us happy! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE I had green oak gutter put on their custom made gutters on 2 homes that we own in Farmington Hills One was the whole house with covers The other front of house only at first We then had the back done after a tree fell on it during summer storms. We paid $900 ish for the back of house gutter only. . I called 6 months later to ask about getting covers for the back of house only and was quoted $1700 I thought this was an error and called only to be treated as if I was annoying the person who answered their phone. "That's the price you want it or not" I then sent an email a few days later and got an apology for phone interaction but that was the price correct. Again I paid $900 for THIER custom made gutter and they want to charge $1700 to cover them. It's OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!! Our ranch home only had french drains, and we needed gutters to better protect our home/garage/pole barn. Green Oak Gutter came out quickly for an estimate, and gave us some great choices for colors, and gutter guards. They came on time and completed the job in a few hours. I felt that they were very courteous, and took me around the house before and after the job. I also noticed that they made some nice improvements when they could to several areas of the house. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for gutters. The reason I called them in the first place is, they were the only company to come and replace a small piece of flashing after a storm. It was a small job, but they came in between another job on a rainy day. I couldn't even get a handyman to come out for that job. Due to this great customer service, they were my first call when I had a larger job. We went with 6" dark green gutters with small mesh gutter guards near our pines, and regular mesh on the rest of the house. I think the house looks even nicer now. read more

The work they did seems fine, but we had asked ahead of time for them to put the downspout on the south side of the house. I noticed they were putting it on the north side, so I reminded them of what we had asked. The guy in charge was visibly annoyed but said they'd fix it. I went inside and could hear him complaining about how rude I was to make him redo his work. So I went back outside and said, "I think we were clear about this ahead of time." He said, "It's in the paperwork that's on the other side of the house. It's not my fault." What? No apology for being rude. No sense of customer service. Plus talking crap about the customer whose house you're currently working on--not seeming to mind that they can probably hear you??? We won't be using these young lads again. Bravissimo...kudos to this company and its outstanding work crew! They did exactly what they said they were going to do in the work estimate, and the work crew worked like a well-oiled machine. When they finished, they cleaned up all the construction debris to the point where an onlooker won't know the work was even done there. The gutters will probably be on the house long after we've left this mortal coil, and truly enhance the appearance of our house's exterior. These babies look like they'll withstand anything short of a thermonuclear reaction! My only regret is not having our gutters done by these guys a long time ago. read more

I chose Green Oak Gutter to replace all of the old gutters on my house and could not be happier with the install. They added a downspout and put up a few deflectors my previous gutters did not have. This proved to be a huge help during heavy rainfall. I couldn't even tell the installers were at my house. No scrap pieces or any nails lying around for me to pick up. Green Oak Gutter was recommended to us by Victor's Roofing. We called and they came and gave us an estimate, which compared well with others we had obtained. However, the work took a while to be scheduled and when they came the roof was covered with snow and it was frigid outside. I expected they would cancel and reschedule. I was amazed. A waste of time.. unethical estimating.. unprofessional.. this company prides itself on referral business however offers none and reminds me of the importance of verifying with google reviews.. suspicious that they claim to have so many satisfied customers but only 3 reviews. They refuse to break down estimates to discuss with homeowner to verify the job is correctly estimated because they have surcharges in addition to higher costs than verbally were stated at $5.50/linear foot for 4x3 or 4" round downspouts and 6" K/Style gutter. Save yourself a headache and choose a professional company for your project who can provide correct estimates or is willing to improve where they fall short. I work globally within the utility and large industrial markets.. decades supporting the automotive, and critical power users alone.. I provide multiple very large estimates daily.. a good company should be flexible, truthful and able to correct errors. Below is a letter from owner after office estimated incorrectly offering no flexibility to discuss details of estimate which included the following errors/overcharges: Charging close to $500 to travel to job site. South Lyon to Oakland Twp. This was not discussed prior to scheduling estimate. I suggest GOG stay near their comfort zone as far as travel goes and will make sure our area Rochester/Rochester Hills/Oakland see this rating to help save time. Incorrectly estimating linear feet, resulting in $400 over charge. Refusing to correct linear ft on estimate. Incorrectly estimating 11 downspouts where I have only 7. Resulting in approximately $550 overcharge for 4"x3". & $800 overcharge for 4" round. Refusing to correct estimate; Thats an over charge of $l,450 for k/style with 4"x3" downspouts.. and an overcharge of $l,700 for 6"k style with 4" round.. even half of these figures are substantial mistakes on their part. We called a few months after thinking there was an issue with the product and it turned out to be a maintenance thing. Todd came out and diagnosed, cleaned out the clog to fix the problem, all at NO CHARGE! Things are going to happen, and I measure a business by how they handle issues.
