Allied was recommended by our next door neighbor. Seemed like a fair price so I gave them the go ahead to do the work which I was told would be done the following week. A week later on Tuesday I called as I had not nbeen contacted with an installation date. I was told it would be done that Thursday ad they would give me a call the next day to the specific time. The next day comes and goes, no contact. Thursday morning I contacted the rep (MIKE), told him what happened and he told me the installation was going to be done on Friday, and that I would receive a call on the specific time by noon that day (Thursday). Still no call by noon so I followed up with the office. They blamed it on rain, (0.00" that day) and said they didn't know when they could schedule. I then called Mike (rep) who offered NO help. The office then called back that day and said they had NO idea when they could do the job. I told them to CANCEL my order. I have never dealt with a company that had such poor communication and lack of integrity! REVISION: Shortly after writing this review, I was contacted by the owner concerning my issues. He made no excuses, but asked if he could make this right. He sent a crew out first thing in the morning the NEXT day and they took care of the job. They were friendly, professional and did good work. The owner acknowledged they need to work on communication within the company, but the finished job was just what I asked for. Give them a shot, as they have proved to me that they want to please!

The entire team at Detroit city sweep Is awesome. From…read moreupdating, maintaining and servicing 3 fireplaces in a historic home to helping us vent our kitchen stove in our hearth the entire team from quoting to scheduling to actual work has been wonderful to work with. The first thing I noticed right away is they actually answer their phone when they call so that was already a plus for me. I was able to schedule an estimate quickly and get someone out to help us address our main issue which was our kitchen not venting correctly, in addition to a fireplace that we would soon need because of the cold Detroit winter. As a new homeowner, we did want to make sure that the fireplaces were in good working condition before we actually started using them so we requested a estimate on what the service and maintenance could potentially be for the fireplaces that we had in our house and any recommendations that they would have. The process was very straightforward. They easily walked us through the quote and what was needed and why, in addition to what the current condition of the fireplace was in to what would need to be done and how it would fix the problem as well as what comes after the service what could be expected what they would be able to help us with should we come across any hiccups after the fireplace maintenance and what warranties came with the products that we purchased. We purchased dampers some gas fire logs, and had our fireplaces updated so that we could use them last winter. From there coming this winter, we assumed that we would have to have the fireplaces serviced again because it was a new year, though we only had a handful of fires in the living room fireplace they scheduled the appointment. They were prompt and scheduling, as well as coming out for service and transparent enough to say we haven't used our fireplace enough to fully warrant a cleaning. This was refreshing to see this type of honesty from a contractor. Then we ended up having an issue with the smoke coming into our house on our serviced fireplace. They were able to address solve an analyze, the reasons why the smoke was coming in to our living room, though everything looked up-to-date and ready to go. It was next level problem-solving skills that they would rarely run across because of the unique fireplace that we had in our Historic house. It was very appreciated that they did not just give up and ask us to spend a gazillion dollars to throw money at a problem. I highly recommend Detroit City sweep for the professionalism the availability, and of course, the quality of the work.

Green Oak Gutter did an awesome job replacing the original 5" gutters on my house. After discussing…read moredifferent options with their representative I decided to go with 6" black K-style seamless gutters. I love the finished look! The larger size and changing the color to black totally improved and updated the look of the house. Most importantly, the larger size gutters are able to handle any amount of rain that a storm brings. From start to finish everything turned out great! The whole team was very professional, easy to work with, and paid attention to detail. I was especially impressed on how they made sure there were no nails or metal scraps anywhere once the job was complete. The crew showed up on time, communicated well, and made the whole process smooth. I try to support local businesses as often as possible so I appreciate that Green Oak Gutter is a family owned business. I highly recommend Green Oak Gutter if you're looking for quality gutters for your home!

Had a few rain events that have pointed out to us that we have a watershed failure. Greenoak put 5" gutters/downspouts on our home which clearly isn't enough. The worst part, we called them out to look at it, thinking they would stand by their work, or work with us at the very least. They treated us like brand new customers and quoted us $5500 to replace the brand new 5" gutters and downspouts with something bigger... hmmm. 1. Clearly, They don't know what they're doing, if they did they would have taken one look at my house and known it would need bigger gutters in the first place. Up your math skills G.O.... 2. They are dismissive and the owner should be embarrassed with their work and pay for the fix from his own pocket out of sheer mortification. I would've paid for bigger gutters and bigger downspouts the first time, I'm not paying for materials and labor twice! Shame on you!!!! Haaaaa! Ironically my neighbor who hasn't moved in yet JUST texted me as I'm typing this and asked us if our gutters are failing! I guess now Greenoak is going to have two customers on their butt... maybe three when our other neighbor moves in.... We know you have insurance for crap like this. Make us happy! I may have to get in touch with Michigan licensing.
