The guys were very responsive to get the job, prompt and on time, and polite when they arrived and even through the process. However they totally hustled me. They quoted me one price and then changed and increased the price two times during the moving day, while they already had my things packed in their van. Which also they didn't show up with an actual moving truck but a large van --So that was their excuse as to why they now needed to do two trips to my new house and were going to charge for it, (why was it my problem they did not have a large enough moving truck and also did not tell me this??) and then claimed I had more inventory than they expected or I told them, which wasn't true. I stated I had two large couches and several end tables, baby crib and baby furniture and about 4 wardrobe size boxes and some medium boxes. They said I told them perhaps half of that, it wasn't true. I had an estimated inventory list I sent to several moving companies so why would I have told them anything else?? But what could I do at that point? They already had my belongings in their van once they increased the pricing, and I had to move that day, and they knew that. So they ended up basically hustling me, I ended up paying more than double their original quote. They charged for the distance, the double trips, anything they could use to charge me more for. I've moved multiple times in Manhattan, Long Island and the Hamptons over the last 11 years. Never had a bad experience like this. The price was always the price, they packed everything and were very professional. This company is not that. They are a small company, they don't have an actual moving truck, it's a large van. They don't make an inventory list before hand (so make sure you have one and it's exact, not even one or two boxes or a piece of furniture more when you get a quote from them, otherwise they will change your price multiple times during your moving process). And they will demand the tip as I see in other reviews they did this to me too and wanted 100/each at the end. So after quoting me 800. It was 1500. The whole process just felt dishonest and when your items are already in their van, your hands are tied and you have to pay it. There's a lot of moving companies out there so I would recommend looking elsewhere. Or if you hire them, make sure to have your exact inventory, and know what type of vehicle they are bringing to move your items in and make sure that all your items will fit. Otherwise you are in for big surprises the day of. And they know that, so they seem to be getting away with doing this as I can see from other reviews... it's the same story.

I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and was pretty worried about how this would go. They sent three guys who were punctual, professional and exceptionally hard working! One did most of the wrapping and packing while the other two brought the furniture and boxes down and did most of the loading on the truck. At some point while they packed and emptied my apartment I fell asleep on my sofa. The guys were nice enough to pack around me and move everything else until I woke up so they wouldn't disturb me! Really really thoughtful. I've lived in the city for years and have moved a handful of times and none of the previous movers compared to these. You can tell it wasn't their first rodeo. After a few items were wrapped, protected and loaded with care I relaxed and realized they'd do a fantastic job. They packaged things like the TV and larger plants so carefully that not even a single leaf was broken! Crazy but true! Yes, they charge for packaging some stuff in boxes but it was very fair and discussed ahead of time. I didn't have issues with the estimate being low and final price being higher as I read in other reviews. The estimate they gave me was pretty spot on. I was given a range depending on how many boxes they had to pack and it was on the lower end of the range. The only issue I had was that the truck got a ticket and the company called and asked to split it. I didn't like that because it's pretty standard that all delivery and loading trucks get ticketed in the city. I've never heard of the customer sharing that. They didn't press the issue tho so in the end it was fine. I gave them 5 stars because the service was hands down the best I've had and will definitely use them again! I highly recommend them-

We had a three man crew, and one man seemed to be very confused about where to go and what to do at all times. I have moved twice in the city before and both times have been way faster and efficient. My partner and I ended up helping unload the truck and boxes ourselves just to keep them moving along. I also had to supply them my own blanket to wrap a computer monitor in because they did not know how to pack it. In addition, I found that the extra costs were a bit much. We were charged a driving time of 30 mins to get to the first location even though the apartment was a 10 minute drive from the warehouse. We were also told we would get a $60 "box credit" which helped cover TV boxes on the day of the move, but then we got charged an additional $100 for other materials used (blankets, tape, wrap, etc.) Normally moving companies do not charge you for tape. They got our belongings from point A to point B, and nothing was majorly damaged. However, I am not sure we would use this moving company again.

I hired My Real Move for a local 20mile move within NJ for a single family house. These guys found me on Thumbtack and were very responsive during the booking process and answered all my questions. I had to list my entire inventory manifest, down to boxes and lamps, etc and was charged accordingly based on assumed cubic sq ft required, but in hindsight, felt totally unnecessary as the movers clearly didn't stick to this list and were moving everything in sight, including things we didn't want or expect, and left things behind that were included in the inventory. They showed up 45min late (which was only communicated after the scheduled start time via email) and completed the job in under 6 hours. They were definitely fast, but the entire move process felt chaotic and rushed. My husband and I have a newborn and couldn't keep as close of an eye on the move as we would have liked. Ultimately, while fast, they rushed the job and left boxes in wrong areas of the house (I.e, bedroom boxes were left downstairs, etc) and left a daybed disassembled that we now have to take care of ourselves. We didn't realize any of this until after they had already packed up and left unfortunately. Three stars for the fact that the movers were nice and hard working, and the ease of booking the job. However, for the amount of money I spent, this job left me disappointed.

I would recommend that you stay away from this moving company, today was the most stressful move…read moreI've ever had no thanks to them. We received a quote prior to booking and you would expect to pay the price quoted, but not with the individuals we worked with today! It was a man with long hair and glasses, when I started the day he states there was no boxes on the list, I understand that if there was a mistake. But if you are a moving company I'm pretty sure you're paid to haul boxes. He stated that he's not taking it, unless I make a deal with him. On the spot he said $200 for 8 boxes and he only takes 20% tip. I was confused how he came up with the number, he did not speak to a higher up or anything. Claimed that we would be on our own if we didn't give him the money + the tip he enforced. He managed to take the money and continued to high five me and attempt to hug me without a mask being on. I knew it was suspicious cause the minute he took the money, he split it with his buddy. No boss or anyone approved of it. I attempted to call the company for Alexandra who gave me the quote, but he got upset and kept deviating my conversations whenever I was on the phone with someone else. I tried talking to the boss, Ved when he dialed him but they spoke themselves without letting me speak. Disgusting behavior from a grown man. Later on at the actual move they attempted to take more money from my girlfriend just for moving it in their truck. I called her to ask why they were demanding $200 from a trip from Jersey City to Hackensack which is a 28 min drive. My girlfriend decided to call her older sister who was helping us with the move. Then she said she would deal with it, and they said they would not reassemble any of the furniture since we were not giving them money. Even though it was guaranteed to be reassembled. We ended it up reassembling it ourselves. Overall would not recommend this company or at least the two guys who work there cause a move within New Jersey came out to almost a grand! Stay away especially if you get the man with the long hair and glasses! They don't follow Covid regulations and work without a mask!

Showed up on time, took everything I requested (and then some), and even cleaned up afterwards. Very fair and transparent pricing. We needed to do another major clean out this year, and of course we called Joe and his team, this time to rent a container. Once again, everything was smooth sailing, and once again, Joe went above and beyond -- even doing some minor emergency landscaping to make sure the container did not damage our property. Great and quick communication, fair pricing, and so easy to work with -- I wish cleaning out our stuff had been half as easy! We've got more to do later this year, and we'll 100% be working with Joe and his team again. Highly, highly recommend!

Mystical Moving Company…read more I was happy to work with Shonari for my move from New Jersey to South Carolina as he had come highly recommended. After 3 visits to assess the job - 1 virtual and 2 in person - my family and I were told "You have less than I thought - No problem", that it would take "3 Hours to pack the truck" and further that "We'll pack anything you didn't." To our dismay, it took 7+ hours instead of 3 hours. In about the 7th hour we were informed that there was no room left in the truck for several items. Thus a sleep sofa, 3 tables, 3 indoor trees, cleaning supplies and other items- both of utility and sentimental value - were trashed. Unbeknownst to us at the time, various other items of value were left behind in the house. Having already protracted our departure time by 4 hours, at this point we had to depart so as not to lose our hotel reservation in North Carolina. The sum total of the replacement value of the trashed and left behind items borders on $2,000. Beyond the monetary loss is the emotional loss - possessions of deep sentimental value, many of which are irreplaceable. Finally, upon unpacking and realizing that 1 of the 4 -carefully wrapped by us - identical and irreplaceable indoor lamp posts was missing, I twice phoned Shonari but could not leave a message of inquiry as the voice mail had not been set up. Ultimately i emailed him, politely inquiring if he may know of its whereabouts (See Below). Upon receiving no response, i emailed again. To this day I have received NO RESPONSE. This whole experience was quite horrifying to me since I was completely misled, and had to leave behind many valuable and expensive items, some irreplaceable. The tangible loss is extremely painful, but to be ignored feels even worse. I recommend you use a different moving company. Hi Shonari.... I was wondering if you could solve a mystery that none of us can. This is regarding 1 of 4 white torch lights (about 5 1/2 fee tall with glass bulb enclosure at top). My daughters distinctly remember taping them carefully to prevent breakage - knowing how valuable they are to me. We have combed every nook & cranny in the house and can only find 3 of them. I have tried to reach you by phone, but to no avail; and your voice mail is not set up. Thus, I am emailing. Any insight you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Sincerely,
