During DineLA Week, I visited this restaurant, but instead of ordering from the DineLA menu, I decided to go for something different. The staff was friendly, and they had some tables with floor seating available. Although the restaurant wasn't completely full, there was a large party having lunch at the time. Usually, I tend to order the same dishes at Indian restaurants: Tandoori Chicken or Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan. However, this time, I decided to try their Tandoori Chicken Lunch Special as I was also interested in their Masala Fries. The Masala Fries arrived first, and I couldn't stop eating them. They were crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with Masala Sauce, accompanied by a side of sweet chutney dipping sauce. I could see myself coming back here just for these fries. Although I appreciated the fact that they didn't use red food coloring on the Tandoori Chicken, unfortunately, it was dry and lacked the flavorful Tandoori spices I'm used to. However, I did enjoy the side dishes that came with the lunch special. One thing that bothered me was that I had to sign and tip on the spot while the server was holding the point-of-sale machine, which was not something I was used to when I worked as a server. This restaurant wouldn't be my first choice for Indian food. I prefer Indian food that is bold, flavorful and spicy in flavors. Artesia, Diamond Bar, Canoga Park are great destination spots for better authentic options... hole-in-the-wall Indian markets around LA and SGV offer better options as well. Our office recently relocated to Glendale and I can easily tell that this place is going to become one of our favorite lunch spots. We stopped in after a meeting around 12:30 and there was still plenty of seating. Staff is friendly and attentive. Decor is super cute. But most importantly, the food is so good. Not sure if it's because it's been a while since I've had Indian but the Chicken Tikka lunch was super tasty. This restaurant is really adorable! They offer table seating and also traditional pillow style seating. I absolutely loved the pillow style seating; it felt cozy & fun! We ordered the veggie pakora plate, chicken tikka masala thali, and the shahi paneer dishes. Everything tasted delicious, but in comparison to other Indian restaurants, it wasn't my favorite. The shahi paneer dish could have had more paneer and wasn't the most flavorful. We also ordered mango lassis, which were yummy. The service was attentive, quick, and friendly! It's some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever had and the ambiance is so comforting and homey, as is the food which is nothing short of perfection. Cute little place that had good lamb curry. I love how it was boneless for some reason a lot of places have it bone in and it definitely affects the mouthfeel. Portion sizes are quite small though just be warned. I feel like the portion size is about the size of the Trader Joe's lamb curry almost. I got the lamb curry and the garlic naan and was satisfied but if it was a different day I could leave still hungry. As for the Aloo Matter and Dal, I am not familiar with those dishes. But the Aloo Matter, which I Googled and based on what it looks, provides some fiber. Off we went in search of new Indian cuisine and oh man did we find it... When you walk into the place the smell of spices and warm naan fill the air, The young lady tending to the customer's greets you fast and gets you seated asking what you would like to drink... I've always wished for a good Indian restaurant near me. I finally got my wish! I've ordered from here three different times and the food is consistently delicious! I got the vegetarian meal two of the three times with a different main dish and it's so worth it. The GOBI ALOO was so flavorful and the cauliflower was perfectly cooked. The TOFU TIKKA MASALA was so creamy and smooth, I can't wait to get it again. Finally, my non veggie option was the LAMB CURRY. It was hearty and delicious. Basically you can't go wrong with the dishes! The sides are so perfect too! I always upgrade to GARLIC NAAN. The SALAD has a light and very tasty dressing. Omigosh, where do i start? Amazing service, amazing samosas, amazing chicken wings! We came on a Sunday afternoon, opted out of the crowded peruvian resto a block away and selected All India Cafe instead. They had outdoor dining on the street but it was 5pm and the sun was still high. We were greeted by a nice lady who persuaded for us to sit at a low table inside and gave crayons for the little. They kept their main door open so I felt it was maybe safe and ventilated enough. She also allowed us to keep our open stroller close by. The wall next to our table is covered with a tapestry made of tiny colored fabric squares - and my toddler wanted to color on them of course. We had to keep redirecting him to the paper table cover. We ordered samosas, butter chicken, chicken wings, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and a bit of rice came with the dishes. The samosa order came in 2pcs, nicely mashed and seasoned with a crispy outer shell. We had to order a second one. I kid you not, it is one of the best samosas I've had in socal. My husband got chicken wings for the child and tandoori for him. The wings came in a pretty big size, way too much for the child. So, of course hubs and I had some and it was very nicely seasoned and perfectly roasted. My buttered chicken was just okay - creamy, not even spicy, so I let my kiddo have some. At the end of the meal, i made a mental note to write a review and will definitely try to be back for samosas when im in the area. I apologized to our server for the mess my toddler made, and she was incredibly understanding and told us not to worry about it, that they vacuum the seats daily. (i picked as much food debris as i could but told her to give it a good wipedown - how the heck do parents with messy toddlers do this everytime?) Gave her a tip and called it a happy day. We parked on Brand st where they have diagonal metered parking in front of the restaurants. The meters work 7 days a week, so dont forget to pay.
