Reasons I chose Delco: - Owner's "can-do" attitude. Very positive. These are multi-week projects. It's important that I enjoy working with someone on a daily basis for that length of time. - Owner is consistently on-site. - Overall value was substantially higher than others. - Ability to use my own designer (Cary Gerschutz of DeLuca Designs...highly recommend). - Referred by trusted individual. Reasons I recommend Delco now that the project has been completed: - Communication: Owner proactively provides regular updates on project without it being overwhelming. - Proposed budget was in line with final cost. - Attention to detail: Example: Our designer marveled at the final product of the "pebble floor" in our shower. Each stone was placed by hand; it did not look "manufactured". - Any unknowns (you don't know what's behind the wall until you open it) were disclosed up front with worst-case scenarios clearly outlined, with an under-promise-over-deliver mindset. - Very respectful of our home: Stairs and walls were protected prior to starting. Items were carried carefully. Accidents can happen but we were fortunate that we experienced not one bit of collateral damage. - Respectful of our family: They used earbuds instead of a stereo. No yelling or unnecessary noise. Got to know our dog and were happy to close the door each and every time they made a trip from the outside of the house to the inside of the house. Even in communication: If I wanted to talk through some things, he wasn't rushing me. And likewise, if I was busy, he was respectful of that and kept things brief. - Cleaned up every single day. - Any snags were met with a positive attitude. No blaming of others; great accountability. - Vast majority of work done by Delco; very few subcontractors. - Project was completed within the "worst-case scenario" timeframe and, had it not been for subcontractor delays, it would have been done sooner than that. All of Delco's work was done in a timely manner. - Flexible with mid-project adjustments. Conclusion: A project like this is a big financial and time investment. I really enjoyed working with Delco. I've already referred friends to them. The end product was better than expected. Finally, my designer, after the project was completed, told me that, if I used a typical home remodeling company, I would have paid significantly more for a lesser product. He came a few days later and reviewed the jobs, finalized the quote, and we scheduled the work which included trouble shooting garage lighting issues and installing 6 new fixtures in the garage; installing 5 new overhead light fixtures in the house including a entryway chandelier; replacing an outdoor outlet and security light; installing several inside dimmer switches; and adding a 50Amp breaker, 240v, NEMA 14-50 outlet for my EV car charger. The prices were very reasonable, lower than what I expected for the number of jobs needing done. Very professional, on time, efficient, and quality work. Will definitely use him again.

I posted through Yelp looking for someone to install an outlet to replace a range in my kitchen. I had a few people reach out, and I reached outside of Yelp as well (which was a failure) - but Jason hit me up right away, had a scheduled time ready to come over and check out what I needed. I *assumed* it'd be a quick once over of the project, an estimate, and I'd continue my hunt when I don't get a call back. Instead, he was ready to go when he showed up - he saw the work that needed done, gave me an estimate for time + parts and hammered it out FAST (including running out to pick up a couple parts). So before he left, I had one OTHER immediate electrical project I needed - I attempted to fix my ceiling fan light and it no longer worked - he found it was a faulty socket (something I didn't know to check!) and tightened my wire work, and had it hammered out as well! Plain and simple - Jason was in and out, and knocked two items that have been weighing on me since the new year. They installed a shielded rubber coupler with the pipes at an angle and a unshielded coupler outside. I called to ask about it, and instead of putting me in touch with an owner or supervisor the receptionist transferred me to the technician who did the repair. He said they do that because it's easier, it's fine and they will stand behind it for 30 days. Not what i expect for over $400. I won't use them again, and I wish I could add pictures of the " repair".

I also explained that I thought access to the valve to replace it might be a problem. The guy who was the main installer triple checked that there were no water or gas leaks before he would leave. Mike(owner) has over 50 years of experience and he said he has installed over 23,000 water heaters in his career. Job was cheaper than quoted price because they could reuse some connectors/pipes. They use Rheem Water Heaters. A really nice group of guys.
