The owner is pleasant until she's not! She was the only person in this day, no other helpers and I'm not sure there is ever any help. She was helpful to our group of 5 until 2 other groups arrived. You can't get your own paint or brushes and she doesn't have enough hands to help everyone. Very type A person and thats fine but it doesn't always work out. A week later when we went to pick up our items one piece was accidentally given away to the wrong person. While disappointing this could and should have had a better ending. The owner said she was able to locate the piece and we could stop by again once she has it. We don't live in Pawleys and the right thing to do would have been for her to offer to drop it off at the rightful owners house. She did refund the money but the end result wasn't what she wanted. She didn't sit for almost 2 hours painting an item to end up with the money. read more

I have been going to Carla's studio for the last several months with my girlfriend & grandmother. We always have a very pleasant experience. Carla is super knowledgeable, patient, and very kind. I have painted 6 pieces and all have turned out incredible! I would highly recommend checking out her pottery studio! Horrible experience. Unfriendly owner. Was not fun. I took a wheel throwing class and I asked the owner what was the clay they use.. and she wouldn't answer me .. And then I finally went back to glaze my pieces.. and it was a very uncomfortable environment. The owner was not helpful with the glazing.. and really didn't want to engage with me. Was too busy doing something else. I would recommend taking a road trip and going to Salty Potter in Conway.. if you want a fun pottery experience. read more

All Fired Up was a wonderful, fun way to spend your time. I designed coasters, a spoon dish and a jewelry dish! I couldn't stop creating. Carla is very helpful. She demonstrates the best techniques and even had great suggestions. I have no art or creative background and my ceramics looked great. You can free hand or use screen prints. There are color pallets to work from and even some examples to inspire. Sunny or rainy day, young to old, solo or in a group, experienced or green - i couldn't get over how much fun i had. read more

Loved painting here and loved how my items turned out. My husband painted a cat and I painted a camper. The only thing that was unfortunate was the higher prices, there are additional fees tacked on at the end. I understand the process and everything it's just a bit much, especially if your piece turns out bad. read more

Extremely friendly, kid friendly, very helpful with questions, painting and colors. Studio is kept clean and has a lot of different choices to choose from. We came here for a bachelorette party, has a lot of table space. All of us don't live here and she will ship your pottery to your state! We're extremely excited to receive the finished product. This place was recently featured on HGTV and boy do they deserve the recognition! My family comes here every time we are here. We love it! The owner is very knowledgeable, awesome, and the prices are fair and reasonable. If they don't get your piece done by the time your vacation is over they will ship it home for you! It's a really cool experience and they are very helpful to make sure your piece comes out the way you want it! I'd recommend for any day, rain or shine! Rain OR shine, this is a great option when you're looking for an activity with your kid(s). We've been staying in Pawleys for a few weeks and I was tired of visiting the beach everyday. So I took my two year old daughter to All Fired Up. The owner, Carla, is a sweetheart and very helpful. She helped me pick out two projects for my daughter and we got right to work. Easy to get to location, free parking, prices are reasonable, clean & bright store, and the store even offers duck food (for a $1 donation) so the kids can feed the ducks after they paint! It's all around a very cute experience. Go...you won't be disappointed! Also a great option for birthday parties and gifts! We will definitely be back. read more

Just had my little one's birthday party here! It was a great space for her little friends who had a blast painting. Carla worked with us attentively to make sure the kids had a good selection of pieces and that their parents understood the process. The room comes decorated! I brought decorations for the theme, but did not need to go overboard. Very easy! read more

Took my kids to this place we discovered by sheer accident last week. We spent about 3 hours there and got our creativity on. The lady who was there to help out was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. Gave us great guidance to make sure we all had a good experience. My kids were 13, 15 and 17. We all had a terrific time, being creative and bonding as a family. It can be a bit pricey, but if you can exert self control and keep it to one project and take your time it can be enjoyable fun for the family without drying up your bank account. Also you walk away with something usefully beyond the memories. read more
