I have visited several times and I love this little spot. It's cute, the staff is great, and they have plenty of options to choose from. Such a fun spot! I had placed a preorder for a jack o lantern that lights up with my son's name on it. We popped in at open (11am) on a Monday. Perfect time to bring a 3 yo as we were there with one other mother/son pair. The owner (I believe) greeted us immediately and was so kind! Explained how to use everything, got us set up quickly and showed us where everything was located. We were able to finish our piece relatively quickly. She advised us it will take 10 business days to be fired and ready for pick up and they will just send us a text. Already planning another visit within a girlfriend! read more

Adorable small local business in Summerville! My friend sent me an event that was being hosted here that was Frenchie themed. If you know me and my love of Frenchies, I knew I had to participate. I also thought it would be a great opportunity to have some forced family fun on a Saturday morning! The studio is so cute, open, clean, and organized! We were prompted to pick a our pottery of choice, French Bulldog themed of course! From there we picked a spot to sit and the employee got everything set I up for us. You are the artist and the options of colors and design are endless. You head to the color bar where you get a palette where you choose your colors. That was the hardest part! There is so many choices! We grabbed an apron and after a brief introduction on what to do, we were on our way! It was so much fun and it very relaxing! I am not so great at painting but it put me in my zone and it was very therapeutic! It made me even happier that I was painting a French Bulldog! I eyed some other pieces that I would love to go back and do! It would be a fun date night or family gathering, or even a girls night! They do kids birthday parties as well! How fun! SO MUCH FUN!! We went here to celebrate my cousin birthday. There were so many lovely options to choose from and the staff was very helpful and friendly! It was a group of six and we stayed for almost 2 hours working on the pottery. Once we left they informed us it would take about 10 days to receive our final works of art. It was was worth the wait! Everyone was really happy with their results! It was such a wonderful time. I plan on bringing my little sister for her birthday as well! read more

Preface: I didn't research this place at all before going. My kids and I went after school when our original plans were rained out. We were the only customers there the entire visit (~ 2hours). The "Good": The inside is bright & colorful. There is a very large assortment of different types/styles/themes of pottery to choose from. There is also a huge selection of paint colors to choose from. We picked out our item & the owner explained we could use as many colors as we wanted. She also suggested painting 3 layers of each color to get best results. Prices seemed reasonable although I've never gone to a pottery studio prior to this. The activity was kid friendly. Owner was nice. After we painted our pieces, I paid for them before we left and then picked them up about two weeks later when they were ready. Some thoughts: Yes, it's a kid friendly activity but I wouldn't say this studio is necessarily geared towards kids. While I appreciated the large selection, my kids and I were a little overwhelmed by the options. I would've loved for the owner to ask if she could offer some direction in helping us choose an item to paint. I think it would've been great if she'd also offered to explain to us some different painting techniques (which I later learned about via their website that suggests you ask about them when you go). She really didn't engage with us at all. Missed opportunity for her to promote her studio's activities, ie bday parties, summer camps, etc. (also saw later on her website). I do understand that this is a small business. I believe the owner was the only one working while we were there as I never saw anyone else. The owner spent most of her time in the back of the store during our visit. I realize she was working. While the owner was nice I wouldn't say she was necessarily friendly. She did walk past and checked in with us once while we were painting. There was nothing negative about our experience, but it was different than I was expecting. read more
