Didn't get any help or direction on how to pick beads for make and take, or how many may be needed for each type. Just "read the board." Wasn't told they couldn't do earrings until already given the kit and beads selected. This resulted in us having to then put many beads back, and continuously adjusting the specific bead counts as we went. Although I understand they do not have public restrooms, as paying customers I would have expected them to let my child use their restroom. They did not, and could not tell me where the closest one was for us to run to. Although this is a very neat store, their customer service was very disappointing. I would not go back. read more

Found what may be the one remaining bead store remaining at the beach and a total waste of time. Owner greeted us, then never spoke afterwards even while my girlfriend made a small purchase. Offers classes and that seemed to be their primary focus. Oh, and no bathroom. Would never return read more

Great little shop wide variety of beads and supplies, the owners very very helpful. My wife and I have travelled to many countries and all over the United States and I see these little being shops and everything from Southwestern jewellery to foreign beads and bottles and I always thought it would be a fun hobby. So while we were waiting for the seafood buffet next door to open up which we recommend the day if you gonna shop one have launched the other but we decided that maybe it's time that we do something with this hobby together. read more

Their business is already going under, they can't pay the staff, can barely pay the light bill- as I was told. They also can't afford sturdy chairs. My mother fell and very nearly broke her neck. She is in her 60s and the chair just broke right in half after sitting on it for some time. The employees laughed it off saying "lots of kids spin around on the chairs" if they can't afford to keep their customers safe then they should not be in business. Currently sitting at an urgent care with my elderly mother. Stay out of this death trap!! And they offered NO reconciliation. Extremely unprofessional 0/10 Would not recommend I should've taken a picture of the broken chair but I was too shaken up as I thought I was about to lose my mom in the midsts of what should've been a nice vacation. I have visited this store during the two times that I vacationed in the area. The shop is large and bright. The owner is super friendly. They offer a number classes. (I cannot comment on the quality of the classes as I haven't taken any - hey, I'm on vacation. I'd rather be at the beach!) They also sell finished products - earrings, necklaces, bracelets. They have a great selection of beads including real sea glass and semi-precious stones, findings & kits. They have a great selection of clasps too - IMHO. I went into Beach Beads and was very disappointed by the unfriendly service I received. The people who worked there never left their chairs to greet me or asked if I needed help. There is a small selection and no names on the beads (type). I was unable to locate the cash register, which was okay in the end because I didn't buy anything. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went in this afternoon with my mom and Aunt and I had so much fun! Don't be afraid to ask questions if you aren't sure of something or need help. They are very friendly once you ask for help! I made a bracelet all by myself and my Aunt got earrings, but she didn't have the opportunity to make them (the lady just made them for her). If you want to make your own, make a bracelet! read more

If I walk into your store, I don't necessarily expect to be greeted immediately. What becomes problematic, however, is when a second group comes in behind me and the staff stop talking to each other and graciously go over to assist them while my daughter and I have to wait for you to finish assisting them to ask a question because we were not greeted at the door in the same welcoming fashion. Was it because we are olive skinned brunettes and the second group were blonde whites? Our money is still green, and my daughter wanted to buy local gifts as birthday presents for her friends. I spent a lovely relaxing afternoon today taking a jewelry making class. Heather is knowledgeable and patient. She was so careful to make sure I understood what to do to complete my projects. I made a necklace and earrings with hammered aluminum. I absolutely love them. I bought supplies to create some Christmas gifts. Absolutely well worth the time I spent on my trip to Myrtle Beach. I walk into the store and the lady at the cash register across the room asks what am looking for. I name a type of bead. "We don't have that" 30 seconds later "I SAID WE DON'T HAVE THAT". My wife is a beader and I'm sure I could have found a gift for her, but not under the glare of an unfriendly owner. read more

Totally loved this trip!! I wanted to do something with the kids to get out of the rain and this turned out to be a GREAT idea!! The kids even made bracelets and an anklet. The owner and her staff member were super helpful and extremely patient with the kids. We will definitely be back next summer vacation!! read more
