In both cases we drove 240 miles to get there, just because we realized what a special place it is, and because we knew we didn't want to get our puppies from any place else. You set foot on the farm, and you see dogs that are truly living their best lives. They have so much space to run and play, they are so well cared for, and so loved, and so clearly happy!! And healthy. And the facilities that have been constructed for the dogs, that clearly took a great deal of time, money and effort to build, are very impressive. Melodie Hammond runs the farm. Took my cat here after she was attacked by a dog. She seemed OK, nothing broken, just beat up…read more Brought her back a couple days later when she didn't seem herself as they instructed me to do. Dr. Darby and his staff listened to every symptom and didn't treat me like an overly protective mom. They believe that you know your pet the best. After x-rays a hernia was discovered and repaired. She went through some tough rehab with her muscles torn and a cyst that developed and ruptured. The staff was caring and called often to let me know how she was doing. Inviting me to do visits with her, knowing that it helps your pet to know you are still around for them. Letting me come in on Sundays to visit, also helping her to feel more comfortable and eat. While this ended up being costly, I think it could have cost me a lot more somewhere else and the level of care was worth the price. Dr. Darby did all he could to keep the cost as low as possible. It has now been 4 weeks and she is completely healed and back to normal. I even called a couple times after she came home to ask about different things and they listened each time and gave me advice that worked. This is a great animal hospital that I will forever be grateful to for saving my kitty.
