Instead of just taking care of the problem the doctor tried to sell my husband and I on all these tests which added up to an estimated of 750.43 to 938.04!!! The tests were to see if she had any problems like thyroid. I love my cat but she is 16 years old and otherwise healthy so why go looking for problems. I almost said ok but then my husband talked some sense into me. We walked out paying 166.93 for the medicine and testing the puss from the ear (we got a free exam for new patient) but that was a circus getting the coupon online. We had to ask several times to get the 86.25 exam charge off the bill. I think 166.93 was high just for 2 types of medicine for her ear infection and testing the puss. I'll keep looking for another local vet office (not a corporation like this office is) for my 2 cats.

Ive been going to Lyncourt Vet since it opened. Way before any of their "team" worked there. The…read moreoriginal kind compassionate DVMs have retired. Honestly, I should have left a long time ago but just stayed because it's a couple blocks away. About 2 months ago I had to practically beg for them to see my dog because she had been vomiting non stop. Meanwhile, I spent close to $10,000 the prior year between dental and yearly exams for my three dogs (not to mention in the middle of the dental procedure they tired to get me for an additional $1,000). Unfortunately, I happened to get my least favorite DMV Dr Shopchak. My dog's kidneys were shutting down and Dr Shopchak was telling me that it's been so busy she couldn't even take a break. Did she honestly think I cared whether she got a break or not? Cry on someone else's shoulder because my only interest was how sick my dog was. At that point I knew immediately I would never step foot in there again. I brought my dog to Cornell the next day and they had the nerve to call me and say if she needs anything else just let them know. Are you kidding me like I said I had to beg to get my dog into Lyncourt 2 days prior. I could list a hundred reasons why a pet owner should never step foot in that office. Do yourself a favor if you care about your pets go elsewhere. However, if you want to spend a boatload of cash for mediocre service Lyncourt is your vet! What could improve first step get rid of Shopchak and replace her with a kind compassionate DMV and no one needs your videos on what to expect at your pet's appointment. Also do yourself a favor and review the pet's chart before you step into the exam room instead acting like it's your first day on the job. I've toyed with writing this review for weeks thinking maybe it's best just to switch vets and go away quietly BUT it's more important to make people aware of what it's really like there. They're in it for the cash not for the benefit of our precious pets.

I will always, always take my pets to Veterinary Medical Center in an emergency. Whenever one of…read moreour pets has needed emergency care, the staff have been not only professional but caring and compassionate. When a pet is in extreme distress, they get them in quickly. Yes, they have to triage sometimes--just like an ER for humans--but the speed of care relates to how busy they are and how dire your pet's situation may be. That said, I have never minded the wait, which I have always felt was reasonable under the circumstances. And once my pets are being treated, they take excellent care of them and do whatever they can to make them comfortable. They also counsel pet owners with kindness regarding the options for their pets, and when we've had to make the choice to tell one of our babies goodbye, the compassion and respectfulness of the staff and doctors has brought me tears of gratitude. As far as the cost, I have always found it reasonable. After all, it costs money to run a 24 hour facility, and frankly, I am willing to pay a premium for the availability of emergency veterinary care when my regular vet is not open. We are lucky to have these folks performing an important service for us pet owners.
