If I could give them less than a one I would. We had been with them for 20 plus years and 4 pets…read more Because of a lack of communication and a lie on Dr. Gills side, emotions escalated over our 9 year old cat who needed dental work done. They had to perform an ultrasound to see why he seemed to have labored breathing. (We brought this up with them since we got the cat and they said he wasn't in any pain so we need not worry about it). We waited all day to hear how he made out with ultrasound. They said they called us, but we have no record on our phone that they did. At the end of the day my husband finally received a text to call. He did and we found out that they didn't do anything for his abscesses teeth because come to find out he has a herniated diaphragm!!!We were not so happy in their lack of communication. They said they called multiple times, yet we have no record of that. They have both of our phone numbers. When we went to pick up our cat, we paid for the ultrasound. I asked what we should do now because he would most definitely be in pain again and not be able to eat. We didn't get an answer so we asked to see dr. He came out in a huff, and when my husband tried to share our side he wouldn't have it and then threatened my husband. My husband did raise his voice because Dr Gill just wouldn't listen!! We left with no answers. Now 4 months later and our other cat needs her prescription food from Chewy. Chewy reached out to Dr Gill and he said we have no record of that animal!!! I guess he cares more about his pride and money then he does for our 2 cats.I tried to get answers today regarding the prescription for Chewy and I've been placed on hold and then told I will have to look into it. I asked if I would find out today and she firmly said I will look into it. Still no answers. She will be out of her food by the end of the weekend. She has severe kidney stones and gets UTI's very quickly if she eats regular food. Sad this had to happen because of a Dr and his inflated ego. Sadly I don't recommend this veterinarian at all. We will find a new veterinarian.

BUT, the last 5-6 years have been questionable on the care my animals have received. Have even debated on finding another Veterinary Clinic AND NOW I WILL!. MY 6 MONTH OLD ENGLISH BULLDOG WILL HAVE PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CARE AND COMMUNICATION WE RECEIVED THERE. Long story short, I left messages on a failed surgery that was performed there and never received a follow up call until after I was at an emergency vet in Cornell fighting to try and save his eye. Thankfully they saved his eye after a 4 hour surgery but he will have permanent eye damage and sight loss at 6 MONTHS OLD. GOOD LUCK IF YOU DECIDE YO TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES TO THIS VET CLINIC.

I came here at the recommendation of a friend and fellow Yelper. She is from the area and had taken…read moreher dogs here for a dental extraction similar to what I was in need of. The reason I was looking for an alternative to my primary veterinarian was their intial quote was over $1,000.00 and although I love my pooch that is a lot out of my wallet. I was able to email them for the a quote and already received good news when they quoted less than my primary vet, scheduling and communication was easy enough as well all done through email and one final call the day before the appointment. They were able to get a rabies certificate from my vet without my intervention. The extraction took longer than I had expected. My pug could not eat after 8pm the night before and combined with the 2hr drive there we were both at wits end. Once dropped off he was left there for the whole day, when I called for a midday question he hadn't been taken in yet, when I called later for an estimated pickup time after spending a full day in downtown Penn Yan I was ready to go (!), he still wasnt back. In the end however he was ready to go home less the 15 teeth taken. They, the staff seemed a bit rushed by me however they close at 7pm, he was ready to go at 6:30pm and I live 2hrs from their office so after spending a full day in a small town and a two hour drive ahead of me I was ready to go too. Overall it was a good experience, he had the extraction on a Thurs and by Sat he was fully back to normal. A week later he acts like nothing happen. In the end I saved over $500 compared to our regular vet including the antibiotics and calcium supplements they sent us home with and they called a few days after to check in on him. My number one recommendation is to check around for prices before jumping into treatment for your vet. Who knows you may just end up in a small town discovering a few things.

I am writing to formally express my deep concerns and sincere frustration regarding the lack of…read moreurgency and compassion demonstrated by your office during an extremely difficult and emotional time for our family and our beloved dog, Demi. As Demi's condition deteriorated rapidly, it became painfully clear that he was no longer experiencing a quality life. We made the heartbreaking decision to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge and reached out to your office for assistance in ending his suffering. Your office requested documentation from Demi's primary veterinary provider. We promptly contacted their office to have the paperwork completed and sent. After waiting over an hour with no confirmation, we followed up with your office only to learn that the documents had not yet been received. This necessitated an additional follow-up with the vet's office. Throughout this back-and-forth, Demi continued to suffer unnecessarily. To illustrate the delays, we first reached out to your office at 8:56 AM, leaving a voicemail, and received a return call at 9:47 AM. We followed up again at 11:27 AM with another voicemail and finally received a callback at 11:38 AM. The final response came at 12:28 PM. In total, we endured a wait of four and a half hours before receiving a resolution from your office. To compound our distress, we were later informed that the euthanasia had not been approved. It is unclear what information was relayed to your office by the primary vet, but the lack of coordination and communication between your offices was deeply troubling and unacceptable. Under these circumstances, it would have been both appropriate and expected for your veterinarian to contact us directly to fully understand Demi's condition and the urgency of our request. The manner in which this situation was handled fell significantly short of the care and empathy we expect from veterinary professionals. Consequently, we have decided not to utilize your services in the future. We have shared our experience with our family and friends. When entrusting veterinary teams with the care of our pets, we expect they be treated with the same compassion, urgency, and dignity as if they were their own. This experience is particularly disappointing given the positive interactions we have had with your office in the past. When your team came to our home in November 2024 to assist with the aftercare of our basset hound, Koko, we were deeply grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown. Additionally, a family member had a similarly positive experience with your office in 2020 during the passing of their pitbull, Sammy. Unfortunately, the events of Tuesday, September 9th, have left us with a lasting negative impression. I urge you to consider how you would feel if your own pet were in severe pain and you encountered delays and resistance while trying to do what was best for them. The heartbreak and frustration we experienced during Demi's final hours is something no family should ever have to endure. Demi was lovingly assisted in crossing the Rainbow Bridge at 2:50 PM by a compassionate veterinarian who recognized it was time to let him go peacefully. He is now free from pain, running in Heaven, no longer suffering--something that, regrettably, should have been facilitated sooner with greater urgency and support from his veterinary care providers.
