You can elect the level of care you need for your pet and even fill prescriptions there, or at another pharmacy. Your questions and concerns are addressed pragmatically and sensitively. ARC is a no-nonsense place that won't play on your emotions, but will offer sensible support and perspective. I'm glad they are part of our community and part of our family's health care.

Definitely some of the best veterinary care in the area. Highly recommended.

BUT, the last 5-6 years have been questionable on the care my animals have received. Have even debated on finding another Veterinary Clinic AND NOW I WILL!. MY 6 MONTH OLD ENGLISH BULLDOG WILL HAVE PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CARE AND COMMUNICATION WE RECEIVED THERE. Long story short, I left messages on a failed surgery that was performed there and never received a follow up call until after I was at an emergency vet in Cornell fighting to try and save his eye. Thankfully they saved his eye after a 4 hour surgery but he will have permanent eye damage and sight loss at 6 MONTHS OLD. GOOD LUCK IF YOU DECIDE YO TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES TO THIS VET CLINIC.

I came here at the recommendation of a friend and fellow Yelper. She is from the area and had taken…read moreher dogs here for a dental extraction similar to what I was in need of. The reason I was looking for an alternative to my primary veterinarian was their intial quote was over $1,000.00 and although I love my pooch that is a lot out of my wallet. I was able to email them for the a quote and already received good news when they quoted less than my primary vet, scheduling and communication was easy enough as well all done through email and one final call the day before the appointment. They were able to get a rabies certificate from my vet without my intervention. The extraction took longer than I had expected. My pug could not eat after 8pm the night before and combined with the 2hr drive there we were both at wits end. Once dropped off he was left there for the whole day, when I called for a midday question he hadn't been taken in yet, when I called later for an estimated pickup time after spending a full day in downtown Penn Yan I was ready to go (!), he still wasnt back. In the end however he was ready to go home less the 15 teeth taken. They, the staff seemed a bit rushed by me however they close at 7pm, he was ready to go at 6:30pm and I live 2hrs from their office so after spending a full day in a small town and a two hour drive ahead of me I was ready to go too. Overall it was a good experience, he had the extraction on a Thurs and by Sat he was fully back to normal. A week later he acts like nothing happen. In the end I saved over $500 compared to our regular vet including the antibiotics and calcium supplements they sent us home with and they called a few days after to check in on him. My number one recommendation is to check around for prices before jumping into treatment for your vet. Who knows you may just end up in a small town discovering a few things.

My first step was to schedule an appointment at which time I spoke with Lisa who went above and beyond to get me an appointment as soon as possible. She was compassionate and caring and very pleasant to speak with, she was able to get me in quickly and I appreciate all she did to get us that appointmant. I drove the three hours to Cornell and was assisted by staff members that took great care getting him out of my van and into the building , my boy was 150 pounds and not easy to lift especially because he could not even help himself get up. Within a short period of time after being examined they knew it was not arthritis , rather a neuromuscular disease. My dog was admitted for five days and started getting better with the meds that they were giving him. that's when I met Dr. Lin. I have no words that can describe what a wonderful, compassionate person she is. She went out of her way to accommodate me so I could visit him while he was in the hospital and in keeping constant phone contact with me on his condition when I was not there. The care and kindness that she showed us was amazing, she felt like a friend that felt my pain. I brought my boy home and he was doing a little better, I had hope. Dr Lin still stayed in contact with me and guided me over the next two weeks on his meds and progress. After showing improvement where Harley could get up on his own and walk a little for a few days, he took a turn for the worse and the disease took over. unable to stand or walk even while being assisted and just collapsing with no quality of life I with a heavy heart had to let my best friend cross the rainbow bridge. Even tho the outcome was not what I wanted it to be Dr, Lin gave me a few more weeks with my boy and I will forever be grateful to her and the amazing staff at Cornell Companion Hospital. The understanding, kindness and compassion they showed from beginning to end will forever remain in my heart.
