Though the staff is friendly and polite enough, they do not go out of their way to help their patients when emergencies come up or when you need autoship on meds. The response is basically you can come and get to them for your basica meds at an inflated price, which is a viscous circle of cost inflation. When my dog needed emergency care, they couldn't fit me in and didn't give me any options for care. I ended up at the Cornell Vet Hospital which was wonderful and treated my dog very well. Basically at this point, I believe I would have been better off to start with either the Petco clinics or with Cornell's Community Vets for the type of service relative to the cost I've received.

She did a great job, the animals weren't stressed at all, and neither was I. Recently, I hired her to come to the house to give my senior dog euthanasia. It's never a great day when you have to make that decision, but she was kind and caring. She made sure that my dog did not have one single moment of anxiety - which is all that counts, really. The process was quiet and efficient. I can't recommend her highly enough. She also followed up with one of the kindest condolence notes ever. My own siblings didn't even bother with an email.

Tuesday October 29th I had to say goodbye to a healthy happy 6yr old dog that had many more years…read moreof joie de vivre in her. I had to say goodbye to her because of incompetency (or laziness) of this veterinarian. My family dog went out of state with my father to visit family and enjoy the outdoors. She found herself sniffing in barn just for a moment before she immediately called back because there was rat poison inside. My father took her here the same day he returned albeit she showed no signs of illness. He did this again 2 additional times to make sure she was okay over a period of 14days, and to have any bloodwork done or testing. That's 14days and 3 visits this veterinarian had to figure out any illness and the solution. During these two weeks she went from her normal joyful energetic self to a bit languid and out of sorts. The vet mentioned that her red blood count was a bit low, going from 47 on an initial visit to 33 on her 3rd and last visit she would have here. The vet stated they would check her again tomorrow but weren't concerned. That night while at home Ginger had trouble breathing, as this vet wasn't open, we immediately drove her to Cornell but she didn't make it the 45mins and passed away in the car 15mins before arriving. The emergency vet at Cornell looked at her and her bloodwork and said that based on her red blood count numbers she had been bleeding internally. Not only did this vet not diagnose my dogs illness, they let her suffer for 2weeks all the while we thought we were doing everything we could by bringing her 3times to be examined and have tests run. Let this be a lesson for anyone, if your animal is a family member take them to a vet that shows they care by being competent knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarians, not by empty words and vapid statements to say they care. I will never trust a diagnosis from this vet nor will I bring any future pet/family member nor would I recommend them to anyone. Do your research, find a knowledgeable staffed vet and take advantage of the resources that may be a bit further of a drive because the feeling that you let your dog down and failed them by bringing them here pales in comparison to any additional short term fees or time driving. Trust and believe I will not make this mistake again, I care far too much about my pets to give them substandard care.

Simone Yen and this office will never receive a recommendation or a request for service again. $300 for a blood work up and then another $883 for the procedure.This office took no responsibility and made us feel as if this was a lack of communication on our part. This office was notified that our dog was most probably pregnant and they waited a month to conduct the surgery so we could be charged more money. We were put on a wait list for the procedure and they never could fit us in. Knowing very well we were concerned she was already pregnant . I certainly hope this is not the case with everyone, but from my conversation with Simone she didn't care. If we could give them 0 stars we would!!!

The head vet, Linda, really tries to build a welcoming atmosphere, is extremely personable, and amazing with animals. She really tries to explain what is going on with your pet and will work with you to ensure you are getting the care you want for your furry friends. She has trained at Cornell and has a great working relationship with them, so I really feel like I'm getting great care for an affordable price. Because of that relationship, some of the lab work gets sent to Cornell and she also is not afraid to send serious cases to them. The rest of the staff is also awesome, from the front desk to the lab techs -- I feel they really care about your experience. They also have a boarding facility, which I have used -- I would recommend it. The staff is, again, really amazing and they get to know your pets so well. If you are booking for around the holiday, I would make sure you book early!

We had to change vets after a few years of repeat issues. - They don't seem to keep good records of the meds they give, always asking me if I'm still giving a medicine that we stopped years ago, I correct them every time. - We needed blood tests and they took the wrong amount so had to do it twice. - I made an appointment for a bump on my boxer's arm, it was covid times so I had to wait outside. They sent her back with a clean bill of health, I asked about it again and they asked "What bump?" (it was the size of an egg on her right front leg). -They charged me for a yearly checkup again 4 months later and when I called to ask, they told me it was required. - After a year of sluggish behavior and a couple visits, we eventually researched enough ourselves to suggest thyroid, they confirmed with a test and got him on meds - They won't give me enough meds to get me to my new vet's appointment date. So I had to write this review. I hope you have better luck, I'm sure most people are content with them.
