Cat sanctuary I tried to adopt from the cat sanctuary it was dreadful to say the least I filled out…read morean application and turned it in and I called the organization to let them know I was interested in meeting a cat they were fostering. She called me three times each call was confusing. The first call was to say there's other applicants ahead of me and that when they were approved they would receive the cat. So I asked if should still drive almost two hours one way to meet the cat if other people are eligible and ahead of me. The lady answer calls took a lot of offense to my question saying I should come meet it even if I won't get it. Also I forgot to fill out one part. I filled out the second part I didnt notice. Second call she told me my cat I have isn't at the vet I provided I explained my cat has always went there and it may be under a different last name. She at this point was just rude tell me it was such an inconvenience to be on hold with my vet for less then ten minutes and that she's already gone out of her way and is "jumping through hoops for me". By calling my vet and doing her job ??? Said I'd need call them and have them fax over the info for my car I already have she was yelling at me cutting me off nonstop. Said my cat wasn't vaccinated. So at this point I gave up she has been nothing but rude yelling at me not letting me speak over simple fixes like resending the application. She called me a third time not sure why said she had reached out to my vet again and still nothing. She then cut me off and said I had been cutting her off, yelling and being disrespectful. I actually began to cry because she was speaking to me in such a rude way. All I had done was try and be polite and work with her. I never yelled at her or was disrespectful. At this point I said I wasn't interesting in adopting anymore. I will from now on avoid the cat sanctuary. I've never been treated like that..

I was referred to this practice by my primary physician. I…read morehave both Medicare and VA coverage as I am a disabled Veteran. I have foot neuropathy, foot circulation issues and pain also with a nail fungus. Called to make an appointment. The woman answering the phone was a bit unfriendly and crass. She said that they are a foot doctor however they don't take VA coverage. That they don't help to heal any of the conditions that I stated and that I should look into getting a different referral someplace else. honestly, if you can't heal feet or work on any of these common foot conditions I can't fathom what else you would actually do as a Pediatrist. Maybe stubbed toes or stepped on a thumb tack?

The path that lead me to Cornell was not a pleasant one, my dog was unable to walk or even stand…read morewithout being assisted, having been misdiagnosed by my local vet in Orchard Park with arthritis and sent home each time with more pain meds, I decided to call Cornell knowing if anyone could help him, this was the place, I knew in my gut that it was more then arthritis. My first step was to schedule an appointment at which time I spoke with Lisa who went above and beyond to get me an appointment as soon as possible. She was compassionate and caring and very pleasant to speak with, she was able to get me in quickly and I appreciate all she did to get us that appointmant. I drove the three hours to Cornell and was assisted by staff members that took great care getting him out of my van and into the building , my boy was 150 pounds and not easy to lift especially because he could not even help himself get up. Within a short period of time after being examined they knew it was not arthritis , rather a neuromuscular disease. My dog was admitted for five days and started getting better with the meds that they were giving him. that's when I met Dr. Lin. I have no words that can describe what a wonderful, compassionate person she is. She went out of her way to accommodate me so I could visit him while he was in the hospital and in keeping constant phone contact with me on his condition when I was not there. The care and kindness that she showed us was amazing, she felt like a friend that felt my pain. I brought my boy home and he was doing a little better, I had hope. Dr Lin still stayed in contact with me and guided me over the next two weeks on his meds and progress. After showing improvement where Harley could get up on his own and walk a little for a few days, he took a turn for the worse and the disease took over. unable to stand or walk even while being assisted and just collapsing with no quality of life I with a heavy heart had to let my best friend cross the rainbow bridge. Even tho the outcome was not what I wanted it to be Dr, Lin gave me a few more weeks with my boy and I will forever be grateful to her and the amazing staff at Cornell Companion Hospital. The understanding, kindness and compassion they showed from beginning to end will forever remain in my heart.
