Very professional and friendly. They handled my dog's annual visit very well. It would definitely recommend them.

Kitten Around Cat Boarding - Bean. My baby girl.!!

    Kitten Around Cat Boarding

When I get my cat home, I think she was looking for the staff. She kind of couldn't believe she was home. I think she missed the staff. It only took about a day for her to get back to her daily routine. Happy to be home, but she was looking for her new friends, what a wonderful job. You could actually tell they were cat people they played classical music for the kitties to relax by. It was so cozy I wanted to stay I have boarded animals before for shorter periods of time. They have always ended up being freaked out, but not this time, she was absolutely relaxed. I think she's looking forward to her seeing her friends again not so soon maybe next year. If I could give them more stars, I would...

In that time, Melinda and her husband took excellent care of Fitzy. At this boarding facility, each cat condo is very spacious, clean, and cat-friendly - lots of places to jump and laze around for the cats. They also allow the cats to have one-on-one playtime outside the condo (I believe only one cat is allowed out at a time). There is ample room and toys for the cats to play with, and playtime is supervised. Calming music is played at all times so the cats can feel secure and at home. The best part is that they offer access to cameras which show you what your cat is up to at all times! The owners of this boarding facility have a great system in place for ensuring that the cats feel safe and cared for (and us cat owners feel reassured that we've left our pets at a reliable facility). When we first dropped Fitzy off, Melinda gave us a thorough tour of the place and details of how they run it. She was kind enough to send me videos of whatever Fitzy happened to be doing, whenever I messaged to ask her how things were going. Fitzy came back home a happy kitty, and my husband and I are very thankful to have been able to board him at Kitten Around Cat Boarding. We feel at ease knowing we have found the perfect cat boarding facility for Fitzy, should we require one in the future.

Lollypop Farm Humane Society Of Greater Rochester - Giant cow outside by the petting zoo!

Lollipop Farm is composed of a board of individuals that turn a blind eye to animal abuse. They…read morehave refused to step in and help dogs that were chained up outside in temperatures well below zero. In fact dogs have froze to death due to their negligence. They also have lied to animal advocates regarding dogs being kept inside an abandoned "house" without heat, food and water- stating that they were taking a dog that was in a crate and had eaten his way through the side- and was stuck and bleeding, for help. Animal advocates watched them back a van in to "take the dog for medical help" while numerous Rochester PD stood guard on the property. However, it was later learned that they never removed the dog- it was all a staged game. Lollypop takes in thousands and thousands of dollars- pays their board of directors massive salaries and continues to abuse and mistreat animals. STOP SUPPORTING THIS TRAIN WRECK!! THEY ARE USING PUBLIC DONATIONS TO FUND THESE SALARIES-NOT PROTECT ANIMALS. After walking through the above mentioned house - through feces and urine and finding more than one dog in this type of situation, Reno DiDomenico, from Lollypop, stated that they don't take action because nothing is wrong. You do the math.

They told us we had to bring our own dog for a meet-and-greet, which we were expected, even though we live an hour and a half away and I had to work later that day. Time was already tight. When we got there, they made us wait outside in the cold for at least 30 minutes. When they finally brought Willie out, he still had a cone on from being neutered a few days earlier. Because of the cone, the dogs couldn't smell each other the right way, which made our dog bark out of confusion--not aggression. Willie wasn't being mean at all either. Both dogs were just stressed because they couldn't interact normally. The woman handling Willie didn't help the situation. She kept pulling him back and barely let the dogs get close. Then once we were in the pen, our dog Fynn barked again for the same reason, and one of the workers turned to us and asked, in a rude tone, "Does he bark like this all the time? Do you have a problem with it at home? This seems like bad behavior." No--maybe if they had taken the cone off or let the dogs actually smell each other, things would've gone differently. After only a few minutes, they told us it "wasn't going to work" but that we could come back the next day and try again. I was crushed. I really loved Willie and could see him fitting into our home. We already have an Australian Shepherd and everything ready for two dogs. For a place that says they want these animals to find good homes, they made the process way harder than it needed to be. I truly hope Willie ends up with a loving family, because he was such a sweet boy and would've been a great addition to ours. But the way Lollypop Farm handled things felt rude, rushed, and honestly unfair. Walking away without him was awful and heartbreaking.
