This dry cleaner provided a very frustrating experience due to inconsistent pricing and unprofessional management. After dropping off items, the receipt was changed three separate times, eventually resulting in a final total that was five times the original quote.When discussing these discrepancies, the owner, Sy, was unwilling to compromise or address the lack of clearly displayed rates. Furthermore, the business refused to release the items unless the significantly higher, unquoted amount was paid in full. Clear communication and transparent pricing are essential for any service, and unfortunately, they were not present here. The feather was safely removed by Moncler, but it was pointed out by the manager that the jacket questioned if it was even cleaned. It looked slightly better but I guess I didn't realized that it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Perhaps they knew something went wrong and didn't want to go any further. As I said I got what I paid for. I should have questioned the $35 cleaning charge. So besides the $150 for repair it will now cost me $100 to clean it properly. read more

They have no problem turning around wash and fold same day, even when I've asked them to pick up as late as 11am, and it usually gets dropped off around 4-5pm. Price is reasonable, usually around $15-25 for 2-3 weeks worth of laundry and comes perfectly folded so I just have to place it into drawers. read more

This place is wonderful! I was introduced by a friend many years ago and have since made it my primary spot. The owner is Cantonese and the nicest. Delivery is fairly quick and efficient. I have no doorman; so I generally call her and she has her guy come over. I live fairly close, so I can't speak for folks that might use her who are far away. On and she's super nice! I call her at 7am and she knows my name from my voice plus caller ID (but she remembers who I am as well, if I ask her about my stuff). Her guy comes in for delivery at 7:45 (the earliest you can get stuff delivered. He's the nicest. Everything that she's done in the way of dry cleaning has been excellent. She's gotten out tough stains on whites for me that I thought were not possible. Credit cards are on file for her so no additional hassle. Overall, I'm very pleased. I believe laundry is 90c per lb. This is pretty good relative to other places in the area. Laundry mats have been really disappearing from the hood. read more

Best wash and fold in hells kitchen - they turn around any amount of laundry in the SAME DAY, pretty awesome I'd say... Also, really friend staff, they pick-up, and the deliver! The wash and fold is on-site, but they outsource the dry cleaning, hence I don't take my dry cleaning here (I go to Ms. Buffy's on 8th ave), so can't speak to that part of their service. This place is a hidden gem as far as dry cleaning, laundry and Tailoring. I introduced my co-worker to this place to get her dress altered. Every cleaner said it wasn't possible since the dress was full of beads, so I recommended her to J&M Cleaners. They were able to get it back to her the following day. Laundry always comes back neatly folded and deliveries are prompt and reliable. As far as dry-cleaning they remove tuff stains, so no complaints. The owner and staff are all honest and reliable. Please do not go here. I was a first time customer and they had completely ruined nearly all of my clothes. After receiving my clothes back I had gone back and complained about the state of my clothes by which they had offered to fix them for FREE. I later called in to check in because their customer service was already coming off as UNRELIABLE, and they said they had changed their mind and were actually going to CHARGE me for the service. Absolutely zero communication that this change was happening. After I had asked to cancel it because I was under the impression it was going to be free - they had said that they couldn't do so and that they were going to charge the card on file 100+ dollars (absolutely insane). I kid you not, I started crying from the stress - I was going on a trip for a week so there was nothing I could do about it. After I came back- I had gone back and talked to the owner who was there for the first time. SHE was reasonable but her employee NOT so much. So, I called ahead to make sure I could get same day service for dry cleaning and laundry. They said yes, bring it in before ten and you can get it back after 6. I took one suit for dry cleaning and 10 lbs of laundry in on a Thursday. I didn't mind the price. Ended up being about $26 for both. Well, when I called back later that day to see when they would be ready, I was told my laundry was available, but my suit wouldn't be ready until Saturday. SATURDAY? I just made sure with you the suit would be available same day! Well, they said they could rush it and possibly get it in store by Friday at 930. When I went in Friday morning at 9, it was all there. I just didn't like the headache of is it ready now or is it not? Don't tell me same day service and then not deliver. They didn't deliver(figuratively, delivery is a service they offer). read more

I think this place is pretty good. The price for the "Wash & Fold" service is fair and my laundry always comes back smelling fresh. I've never had an experience where they lost any of my belongings. I'm removing a star because of the customer service. The lady at the front desk has always been very cordial to me. I love J and M Cleaners! I just moved to the area, and after reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to try J and M for my wash & fold- because who has time to do their own laundry these days? When I called, a very nice woman (who I could understand perfectly!) answered and was happy to take down my information and answer any questions I had. She said her delivery/pick-up guy was out but she'd send him over as soon as he got back. After about a half hour (I told her I was in no rush and would be home for a while), a very nice man came to pick up my two bags (a total of 35 lbs!) of dirty clothes. He confirmed that I had nothing that needed to be dry cleaned, and I told him I left a note in one of the bags that everything should be washed in cold water... don't ask, that's how I've always done it to ensure none of my clothes shrink. The nice man told me I could call the next morning (he picked up my laundry at noon, and since it was a lot and they close at 7pm, they'd be ready the next morning) to have my clean clothes delivered! The next morning (well, noon...), I called and the same nice woman answered. I gave her my credit card number over the phone- she asked if I wanted her to keep it on file but I chose not to for now, but might do that in the future!- and in the middle of our call she said "Oh! My delivery guy just walked in so I'll send him right over!"... and about 10 minutes after we hung up, my doorbell rang with the same nice man from the day before carrying a (giant) bag of my clean, folded clothes! How splendid! I tipped him $2 since I live on the third floor of a walk-up and the bag was 35 lbs and he was very gracious. My clothes were folded and organized (and nothing shrunk!), so all I had to do was transfer them from the bag to my dresser. And they smell great! I will definitely use J and M for all of my laundry needs from now on! Free pick-up and delivery, very nice people, prompt service, and a reasonable price. It cost me $33 for my 35 lbs of laundry. Not bad! Definitely better than lugging it all to a laundromat, finding quarters, waiting for it to be done, folding it myself, and lugging it back up two flights of stairs. Woohoo! read more

Horrible - stay away! They lost a few pieces of my clothing. I wasn't upset at all - but went to ask if they had a lost in found or if it was possible that a few of my pieces accidentally got mixed into someone else's laundry. Out of nowhere, the lady started yelling at me! She was completely irrational. I even told her, "i'm not upset at all, it would just be helpful to know if you have a lost and found?" She wouldn't answer my questions and just continued to yell. Then she went to the back of the shop so that I couldn't speak to her (unless I too wanted to shout). So, i left. They are very fast (wash and fold is usually returned same day) and they have never damaged anything in the entire time I have used them. Pick up and delivery is very easy - they have a caller ID system to know it is me calling and have all of my information already pulled up. I love that I can find reviews on cleaners/laundry in my neighborhood because there are so many options and it's really word of mouth that will encourage me to go somewhere vs. another--the exterior never says anything about service/quality for a cleaners. The owners here are extremely nice, the woman at the front desk remembers my roommate's name and is very pleasant. I have enjoyed the wash n fold service at $0.90/lb. The one thing I would say is that dry cleaning here should probably be avoided if you're precious about your clothing.
