I'm only giving five stars because Yelp's limit! As an active-duty military member supporting America's 250th birthday from out of town, I needed a quick place to drop off and pick up my laundry. I spoke with a helpful representative who promised to have my laundry ready if I dropped it off by 8:00am. -- and he kept his word! For all you travelers wanting to avoid pricey hotel laundry fees, check out Mr. GREEN. They get you in and out fast at a fair price, using your soap and dryer sheets or their own--your choice. It's a game-changer! read more

Self service laundry was hot, no AC and the ceiling fans were ineffective. Having them do the laundry worked out way better.

Very rude but might just be a NYC thing plus half of their machines were out of order.

Since moving to the neighborhood I've been coming here for laundry and while I like that it's close and cheap, this place is DIRTY. Every surface has dust on it and the walls are so dingy. The final straw for me was seeing a dead roach on the floor (pic included). The existence of the roach isn't the problem (it's nyc), but the fact that it's dead just lying on the floor shows just how little they care about cleanliness and customer perception. Plus, most of their bigger machines are broken and only being able to use coins can be annoying at times... 2 stars instead of 1 bc they're the cheapest I've found and have chairs to sit in (which not all have!) To all the people doing wash and fold--just because you don't sit in and see the dirty place doesn't mean your clothes aren't in there! read more

This is an unexpectedly helpful and cost effective wash and fold service charged reasonably by weight! Just give them dirty laundry and they keep it washed and folded and then packed very nicely in a bag. An extremely valuable service during travel times. Chinese wash and fold. I dropped off laundry at 10am. Was told to pick up at 4pm. All clothes were washed and folded. No scent detergent was used. $29 for 20lbs. read more

All of my white clothes never got returned to me. I assume they were washed separately and forgotten to be placed with the rest of my clothes. On our honeymoon so it is a shame but the people were lovely and all the rest of the clothes came back clean and folded neatly. read more

We were traveling and the cost to have laundry done by hotel was cost prohibitive. We found this wash and fold service and laundry was done same day for a very affordable price! The hotel wanted $7 for a single undergarment- vs $21 for an entire bag of laundry. read more

I used their wash & fold service while in town for work. They have a quick turn around time and good customer service.

Grat service! We delivered our laundry at 10.00 and pocked it up at 17.00. All clothes were clean and nicely folded at a fraction of the price of our hotel laundry service. Mr green also provides self service laundromats located right next door. read more

I used the laundry service and was impressed by the ease of drop off and the swiftness of the work. I dropped off early evening. Be aware it is pay up front - cash only. They give you a receipt for your laundry and you will need that to pick up the laundry so don't lose it. I was able to pick up the laundry as early as 8:30a the next day. They offer same day service as well. I believe the last drop off of the day was 7pm. They folded everything nicely and put it back in the bag I took with the laundry. There was no funky soap smell or anything. It was $15 for my bag of laundry. He didn't open or count the pieces in the bag just quoted a price. It was 18 pieces of laundry and four pairs of footies. Very happy with the experience. Would use again. read more

Fast friendly service. Returned from cruise with family washed 60 pounds and cost was affordable. Highly recommend

This was a life saver while staying in the city!! The folding service was also well worth the additional cost.

Fantastic - Everything in New York is so expensive. We were brutalized coming from Australia with the exchange rate. This place was so inexpensive and so great they returned us a cube of plastic wrapped clothes and they did it quickly for us which was very kind of gracious of them. Thank you for helping make our Big American vacation less stinky. read more

This laundry service is great and the folding is exceptional. The convenience is truly unbeatable with the one caveat that somehow, one of my white shirts got ruined (see attached photo). This didn't happen to any of my other lighter colored clothing (they all looked great) so I just wanted an explanation on why this was the case. This is worth it for $20 but this white shirt cost around $20, so I would say this instance my experience was a little ruined by that one road block. If it were possible to get a refund, or to get a complimentary service in the future, I would say this place has exceptional service. read more

Rude and 2/3 of the machines are broken. Came here from the other good reviews which were not accurate from what I experienced

In a pinch, I needed to do a drop-off for wash and fold. I gave them my clothes at 12Noon on a Saturday, and they told me it would be ready by 6PM that same day! When I picked up my clothes were clean, fresh, folded nicely and the whites were definitely white! All that for only $26 which was a great value for my time saved. I'd use them again. read more

Used their drop off service. Got my clothes done and folded within 24 hours before flying out, great! And if you're staying in a hotel nearby, THIS is the place to get your laundry done. Not your hotel which probably charges PER piece of clothing. read more

Dropped off my laundry around 8:30am and it was ready at 1pm. Clothes were cleaned, folded and compactly placed in a plastic bag. Best 16 dollars I spend while on my vacation in NYC. No frills, no nonsense. Just straight up professional and efficient. read more

It doesn't seem like much at first glance, but when I came to pick up my laundry everything was spotless and folded uniformly with a clean and very light fragrance. For a weeks worth of clothing for four people, it cost me less than $30 since they charge by the pound and not the individual item. We will definitely be coming back. read more

This was our first experience using a laundry service. The value (quality, price and prompt service) simply cannot be beat. Very much appreciate the hard working staff and turnaround time. $21 for 11 lbs of laundry washed and neatly folded. Dropped off at 830p (other places in the area close at 7p) ready for pickup up at 1030a the next day. read more

On an east coast, we stopped in NYC for a few night. We did fluff and fold, dropped off laundry at 9am and it was ready for pickup at 5pm the same day. They are definitely old school, cash only, but also very efficient. Happy to have found them. read more

This was my first time using a wash-and-fold laundry service, during my first trip to New York. We wheeled in our laundry, late morning, with our rolling suitcase, like the nubes that we were, and returned that afternoon to a large, tidy bag of clean clothes. All of this, from a kind and friendly staff, for less than it would have cost to launder four pairs of undies at our hotel! We will be back to New York someday, likely for good, and I am sure we will return to Mr. Green Laundry. read more

I enjoy dropping off and picking up my washing from Mr Green Laundry. Alice (generally works day shift) and Terence (generally works night shift) are both helpful and considerate. Clothes are washed on-site, resulting in a super quick turnaround time (a few hours) which is better than nearby competitors (i.e. they will send it to an outside contractor, you will need to wait 48 hours to get your clothes back). They are great at folding (always perfect) and they use light/unscented detergent which I prefer (i.e. nearby competitors use strongly scented stuff that is overpowering). The prices are affordable (i.e. in line or cheaper than nearby competitors in the area) and they have much better availability (i.e. open 7 days a week with wide opening hours versus 6 days a week with limited hours of nearby competitors). They are cash only which I find a bit frustrating (i.e. I have to take an envelope of cash with me given this is the only business I frequent that is a cash only business). I would prefer there be some flexibility (e.g. open a credit account and pay cash at the end of each month for services used or pre-pay in order to put new charges against the prepaid balance). They don't do pick-up or delivery which is also a downside (i.e. gets heavy to walk my laundry over once or twice a week, remember to go pick it up). Overall, given the super quick turnaround time + competitive prices + high quality, I remain very comfortable still giving Mr Green Laundry a 5 star rating despite the cash-only nature + lack of pick-up/delivery. read more

This was our first time visiting NYC and laundry mat. I have to say it's very nice clean and smooth transaction. We was the clothes with no problem and fold at the same time. It felt really relax. Mr Green Laundry - Inside the laundry place - Laundry Services Near Me - New York, New York

I was staying a hotel nearby in midtown, it would've cost me hundreds of dollars to get my laundry done at my hotel, instead I paid $22.50 plus tip to get two loads of laundry (like 16lbs) washed and folded. It's great they are open on a Sunday, I dropped my clothes off around noon and they were done by six same day, very impressive. My clothes were neatly folded and clean. Not sure if they actually separated my whites like I had requested, but my clothes looked and smelled clean and everything seems to be undamaged and accounted for. I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I had to do laundry while visiting NY again. I do wish they had pick up and delivery though, I had to walk like half a mile each way hauling my laundry in the summer heat, it wasn't fun. Nonetheless, pricing was fair and my clothes were clean. read more

Terrible customer service! I got there with two medium bags of sheets and asked if they could wash in an hour and a half. The lady asked why I would like this so quickly and I said that I would need to go to another job since I am a house cleaner and my client is traveling so I should pick up the laundry, make the beds and go to another job. I said I would overpay for the quick service if the want it. The lady agreed. But as soon as She gave me the receipt she said I should be back in 2 hours and I said "but you said that an hour and a half was ok". And the other guy who was working with her started to yell at me and offend me. I had a bad time there and I was very nervous and offended. I was being polite and he started shouting bad words to me. I grabbed my laundry and left. I will never give them money again. It was a really and embarrassing time. read more

I used their fluff & fold service. Very quick turn around & very reasonably priced. Unfortunately my clothes came back a little damp & not smelling that clean & fresh. The staff member mocked and yelled at me for losing my laundry ticket. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. I felt my business was meaningfulness to them. Decided to try out Mr Green Laundry after looking at the reviews of the laundry services in the area. Paid 18.50 for 13.5lbs worth of clothes, which is a decent price. The photos with the pricing 3 years ago seems to be outdated. Popped by between 3-4pm on a Saturday and was told to pick up after 8pm. They have a scale at the side of the counter where they measure the weight in the spot, which was accurate to the weight i measured my clothes at home. There's no options on the ticket they give you to pick up your laundry, I just told him I wanted cold wash and low dry which he wrote onto the ticket. Paid in cash at the time of the drop-off. Clothes came back feeling clean and neatly folded, only thing was the dress pants weren't folded along the usually fold lines, but nothing hanging it up in the closet won't fix. Happy with the result and will come back again. read more

As far as self-service laundry goes, I would steer clear. Extremely narrow, so I had to constantly move out of the way for people to pass with their laundry. Half of the washers were out of order. Staff wasn't the nicest either, but I guess that's New York for you. read more

I went here a couple times to get my laundry done. The owner, Alice, was really nice and clothes were ready by the next day. Their service is wonderful! Three star rating because after the first time I went, Alice wasn't there and it was her son working. Asked about my laundry and tried to be friendly but he was straight up rude. Also wished they had delivery services since I work long hours EDIT: I always come before 8:45pm to pick up and drop off before 8pm because I follow the instructions. Great service and very fast turn around. Clothes returned ironed and folded. I would definitely use them again.

I have another laundromat right under my apartment, but I walk the few street blocks to Mr. Green because of their service. I drop off my laundry and within a few hours it's done. He may seem rough around edges at first, but he is really sweet. I've been helped by the gentleman numerous of times and he's always answered any of my questions and even gave me some laundry advice once. I drop off almost weekly and have never been upset with the service! 100% They fold everything but socks and underwear. The underwear is stacked to gather nicely. They match your socks in pairs stacked in a pile that somehow magically stays together in the bag. It makes folding those when you get back are a breeze! read more

The only place I will send laundry out to. Always prompt and quick turn around. They use unscented detergent ( a must for me) and you can request oxy clean added for extra charge. Beautifully folded. *** my ONLY bummer mention is that they do not pick up or deliver. This would get them a 5 star with me if they added that!! read more

My go-to spot for laundry! The team at Mr Green is courteous, helpful, and efficient. No complaints.
