I contacted Jake, the owner of Tri-Boro Garage Doors, after one of the springs broke on our garage…read moredoor. Fortunately, he was able to come the next day and replaced all four springs ( 2 on each door ), inspected, adjusted and lubricated rollers and pulley system. Jake then showed me that the gears that drive the chain system on top of the motor ( manufactured in 1999 ) were wearing and will need to be replaced in the future. I appreciated that he didn't try to up-sell me in doing the repair now, but rather said when it breaks, to call him ( he said the gear assembly could last months or even a year or two ). Tri-Boro Garage Doors is a small, locally owned company from Northborough. Jake may not have a fleet of fancy ( or expensive trucks ), but he is insured, experienced, honest, reasonably priced and has number of very positive reviews ( mine now included ). Given my experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tri-Boro Garage Doors and will definitely contact Jake when I need my garage door serviced.
