Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. Fabio responded quickly and professionally when I reached out about a fence estimate. I was hopeful that these qualities would stay true throughout the project, however there was a dramatic shift in his attitude and responsiveness once the contract was signed and the money was handed over. While I appreciate how quickly the (partial) job was done by the team, working with the North Fence proved to be overall a very stressful and disappointing experience. Fabio was hard to reach throughout the duration of the project and broke multiple deadlines he himself set for sending important estimates that affected decisions that needed to be made in regards to the project (as it was happening). This led to parts of our fence being installed incorrectly against our wishes despite my reaching out to him repeatedly to try and get the (past due) estimates. He also repeatedly broke promises that were made before the start of the project. While he did provide a small discount for some of the work that was left incomplete as well as his unprofessional lack of communication, he later used the discount that was provided for one part of the job being left unfinished in order to make excuses and avoid completing other aspects of the project. He even tried making the excuse that "we can always move things when we replace another part of your existing fence" This was quite the statement to hear after our first (and only) experience with him. While all of this was enough to leave a sour taste in our mouths, the true cherry on top was we received a text from Fabio claiming that his team left after they briefly knocked on the door and didn't get an answer so the project was left without doing a final walkthrough. There was no attempt to contact either my husband or I by phone despite this being the primary form of communication throughout the duration of the project. As soon as we received this text, we walked through the "completed" project and sent Fabio a text pointing out multiple tasks that were agreed upon before the signing of the contract that were left unfinished. He said he'd send a tech to address the issues the following day. There was no window of arrival provided and we were never asked to be present for his arrival. I was very surprised and honestly horrified when Fabio felt it was appropriate to give me a call while I was at work to scold us for not being available to do a walkthrough with the tech and how he just "wanted to get it over with" and didn't want to have a "repeat of yesterday". As if it was our fault that his techs did not complete the job or make any attempt to actually reach us while we were available. Overall, I would not recommend this company in any way, shape, or form to anyone who values honesty and professionalism.

5 Stars for Fresh Landscaping & Masonry!!…read more Patio/ Staircase Installation We worked with the owner, Jorge, over the summer to completely transform our backyard. Jorge came many, many times to work with me on my design choices for our patio. I scoped out many different ideas with him, and we discussed a multitude of different pavers/retaining wall blocks. Jorge was always a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, *patient*, and helpful throughout the entire process. We have a very tricky backyard, and the masonry project was split into two phases. First, we had a staircase built into the hill over an existing retaining wall. This involved digging out huge boulders and drilling into ledge. Next, Jorge installed and re-graded a new paver patio area that was 3x the size of the existing patio, including adding a french drain to correctly re-route water from our gutters far away from the house. Again, the expansion was an impressive feat due to ledge/rock in our backyard. Also, I had really wanted a certain paver to be used as a surround trim, and he had his team put in the extra effort to make it happen as the trim pavers were a different height than the patio pavers. THANKS JORGE! Finally, we capped off the existing retaining wall, adding a gorgeous stepping-stone walkway surrounded by river rocks, saved/replanted existing plantings, put in new plantings that I selected, put in new sod, installed new irrigation zones and heads, added a new Wi-Fi irrigation controller, added an outside water shut-off, and included beautiful lighting, Jorge was personally there on-site a large percentage of the time. He focused his various teams on getting the job done so they were there every day/all day until they were done with their portion (digging/drilling/masonry, landscaping, lighting, irrigation). His teams work very hard. They were all polite, friendly, helpful, and reliable. We are so satisfied with Jorge's masonry work that we switched all our landscaping services to Fresh Landscaping as well. Jorge is a true professional. It was a pleasure to work with him. He cares deeply about your satisfaction with his team's work, and he will work with you to get the job done right!
