5 Stars for Fresh Landscaping & Masonry!!…read more Patio/ Staircase Installation We worked with the owner, Jorge, over the summer to completely transform our backyard. Jorge came many, many times to work with me on my design choices for our patio. I scoped out many different ideas with him, and we discussed a multitude of different pavers/retaining wall blocks. Jorge was always a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, *patient*, and helpful throughout the entire process. We have a very tricky backyard, and the masonry project was split into two phases. First, we had a staircase built into the hill over an existing retaining wall. This involved digging out huge boulders and drilling into ledge. Next, Jorge installed and re-graded a new paver patio area that was 3x the size of the existing patio, including adding a french drain to correctly re-route water from our gutters far away from the house. Again, the expansion was an impressive feat due to ledge/rock in our backyard. Also, I had really wanted a certain paver to be used as a surround trim, and he had his team put in the extra effort to make it happen as the trim pavers were a different height than the patio pavers. THANKS JORGE! Finally, we capped off the existing retaining wall, adding a gorgeous stepping-stone walkway surrounded by river rocks, saved/replanted existing plantings, put in new plantings that I selected, put in new sod, installed new irrigation zones and heads, added a new Wi-Fi irrigation controller, added an outside water shut-off, and included beautiful lighting, Jorge was personally there on-site a large percentage of the time. He focused his various teams on getting the job done so they were there every day/all day until they were done with their portion (digging/drilling/masonry, landscaping, lighting, irrigation). His teams work very hard. They were all polite, friendly, helpful, and reliable. We are so satisfied with Jorge's masonry work that we switched all our landscaping services to Fresh Landscaping as well. Jorge is a true professional. It was a pleasure to work with him. He cares deeply about your satisfaction with his team's work, and he will work with you to get the job done right! Bar far the most horrible experience on a home project I have ever been a part of. We were told how…read moremeticulous this company was and how high quality their work was. The quality of work is sub par at best, especially for the price tag which was very high. Dex did such a horrible job they even commented about the poor quality, and had to demolish some of the work they did to complete the work again. The redo was still poor quality with lots of flaws and took over a year with more visits than I can even count. We now have a step coming loose (mind you this project is only 3 years old), which is dangerous and we are going to have to pay someone else to come fix it to ensure someone doesn't get seriously injured. When originally starting the project we had multiple instances where they measured wrong and without us pointing it out, we would've been short changed what the plan was. There were several instances where we had meetings regarding problem areas and they were not addressed. We have had friends ask for recommendations and a few of them were considering Dex, and we recommended they go elsewhere and provided a wonderful recommendation for someone who came out and finished our work at a quarter of the price and far better quality of work.

To anyone that is considering Dex by Terra (or has recently hired them for a project), I have one…read morepiece of advice for you: RUN AWAY AND DONT LOOK BACK We hired Dex By Terra to perform a backyard transformation (in 2024) following the install of our pool in Framingham, MA. The design phase, led by Joe, was wonderful. EVERY SINGLE THING THAT TOOK PLACE POST-DESIGN WAS TERRIBLE. We opted for a stamped concrete design, which was our first mistake. Every single person from DEX who has been at our house honestly has no idea what they are doing in regards to stamped concrete. When you look at reviews, every positive review is for non-concrete patio's. When it comes to stamped concrete... anything that could go wrong went wrong. 1.) Stamped upper patio area was completed first. Color was wrong. It looked like someone had poured curry powder all over my patio. Luckily, they were able to jackhammer it out and replace 2.) Stamped pool deck - after one winter, there was an erosion that took place all over the patio (think little white specks everywhere). They refused to repour concrete and opted to fix with a stain/sealer. Needless to say, while it did improve the white spots, we are in summer number 3, and it looks even worse now. In addition, the lines of the stamping, drains, and immediate border around pool are all not straight. 3.) Masonry work was shoddy all over entire patio. Big gaps, stones falling out of place, allowing rodents to make new homes. 4.) Supervision is an afterthought. Our project manager Delia wasnt actually managing anything. People would show up whenever, without any prior notification. Questions requesting specific dates and times for workers were not answered. General job site cleanliness was a total DISASTER - with items getting broken (all of our solar lamps), landscaping being damaged (from moving furniture into landscaping while working on patio), sealer hardening at bottom of pool causing white marks, and overall general sloppiness in terms of keeping areas of house clean (like siding, trim, and windows) while they worked. 5.) Zero accountability. I asked numerous times for the owners of the business to come on-site to see the horrendous work that they performed. Joe, Delia, and Tommy (head of ops) came out. Joe agreed the work was sloppy and terrible looking. Tommy didn't have a clue - he could have been a guy they grabbed at dunks to serve as "head of ops" for all we know. Now we are on year 3, they are still doing some work with the same problems and same lack of attention to detail and lack of respect of our time/money/house. In discussing with my wife, we are going to have to bring in actual professionals at some point down the line to remediate the mess that Dex by Terra have caused. Again - if you are considering hiring Dex by Terra for any work, I would run as far away as you can from them. Atrocious company, atrocious support, atrocious attention to detail, and absolutely ZERO accountability. I offer anyone the opportunity to come to my house to see the quality of their work first-hand. Know what you are getting yourself into and know there are better companies out there.

Of course, the salesperson tried to impress upon me how high the quality was and how much of a deal I was getting. Right!!! Got a comparable chair from Costco for $116. Supporting small business is a joy, but it should not cost my children's college fund.

Gabriel is easy to work with and great at communicating and asking the right questions to make sure you get the exact fence you want at a very competitive price. When I text him with concerns about the fence design he was quick to respond and come out to re- measure. His crew worked in the freezing cold and were super friendly. In addition to his great reviews, one of the main reasons I went with Gabriel was that I felt comfortable and at ease with him in my home. I'm a stay at home mom and my husband works a lot so it's important to me that I have contractors that I trust around me and my child. The results are great! The fence is sturdy and adds more privacy to our backyard. The information about price and timeline was clear and upfront. I have never experienced that before. I would use Fence X again and I highly recommend their service
