We had a part of 11 come for lunch. The place is in a strip mall like setting. The interior is dark. It is go to the counter and order and they bring the food to you. Food: the salads looked fantastic. Fresh lettuce and veggies and quite large in size. Everyone that got a salad said they were very good and hearty. Employees: the ones that delivered our food were friendly but very much a self service place. Pizza: the sauce lacked flavor, not enough cheese and toppings were minimal. The crust you can tell is cooked on a brick fire. When the pizza was initially delivered, I grabbed a slice and tried it. While it was hot it was edible but not wow this is fantastic. But after 1 slice the crust the pizza cooled off and the crust was so hard that I could barely chew it. I carry my own hot sauce and I put it on the pizza to eat it. When we got home my husband was in the bathroom all evening. It upset my stomach. I did not eat the crushed red pepper flakes and he did, be careful of the table side toppings. Went out for a late lunch with some friends to Ali's. We normally do not dine in the Walzem Road area, but our friends insisted. Food: Although the pizzas looked good, they are far below average (think cardboard with a few toppings). Sauce was minimal and dismal. Toppings were sparse. We ordered a Meat Lovers Extra Large pizza, a cheese pizza, and medium wings from Ali's Pizzeria. Everything was absolutely delicious! The only downside was that the food arrived a bit cold, so we had to warm it up. I'm sure if we had eaten at the restaurant, it would have been even better because it would have been fresh out of the kitchen. Our delivery driver arrived on time and was polite. First off the staff we're really nice. The restaurant was clean . The pizza was delicious! It came with a crisp crust and hot. The chicken picata was a little too salty and pasty. Almost like the rue didn't have any cream, butter or wine to thin it out. My daughter had the chicken parm. She liked it. Said the sauce was a little sweet but not bad. We would come back. I rented the newly remodeled private room for a surprise birthday party. Bernice helped me design a buffet menu that was perfect for the event and in my budget. On the day of the event, the room was ready, sparkling clean, and tables arranged perfectly. I can't say enough about the two young ladies who served us. They were outstanding! Food came out piping hot, smelling delicious, and invitingly displayed. The salad were crisp and fresh. Everyone had a wonderful time, especially our guest of honor. Went here for lunch this past Wednesday. They have four good lunch specials for $9.95 to $10.95. You could have two slices and a soda, a salad, a slice and a soda, a cheese steak sandwich and a soda or a lamb gyro with fries and a soda for that price is a bargain! The staff was welcoming and attentive and there is even a game room to go play. I did enjoyed the flavor of the pizza and one slice is enough. The portions are large and tasty enough for two people. We got the 6 cheese pizza and added pepperoni and got a cheesy garlic bread. When I say I was in heaven y'all I mean it! The decor inside the restaurant speaks NY, they sell pizza by the slice, but they somewhat missed the mark on authentic NY style pizza. Don't get me wrong; it was not terrible. The pizza itself was ok but something was off about it. With NY style pizza the crust is everything. And unfortunately Ali's slightly missed the mark. Shocked to see they only have 3 stars here. I feel like this is an authentic Italian family run business. Their pizza is so fresh and flavorful- we dined in and saw HUGE pizzas on peoples table. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza and the chicken Parmesan Stromboli. The pizza crust was perfect! The Stromboli took awhile to come out, but was amazing and so cheesy. Worth the wait! Oh! The pizza is pretty decent. My brother had ordered a Ali Supreme Pizza. I don't know if it's a chain but they do deliver if you live close to there location. I would say the crust could have been cooked a little longer and had no flavor to it. I didn't go to the restaurant, even tho I have passed it several times. Visiting the area and saw this place on yelp. My friend and I both ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It was good, lacked flavor a little and needed some salt and cheese (and I'm not a huge salt person) but the salad it came with!! The salad was yummy and really big!! Only able to eat 1/2 the spaghetti because the salad was so big. We are in the area for a few days so we might just need to go back for a pizza because I saw a few people with pizza on their table and every pizza looked AMAZING! I was looking forward to this as I had been told it had been founded by a man that had another place I liked a lot. The new owners have not changed the recipes. The have lunch specials. I got two slices and a coke. Let me tell you, those slices are huge. They are probably a half a pizza at any place else. You can also get any topping you may want. My husband called out of courtesy to let them know that we found the hair in the cup and the girl assumed that we wanted our money back or wanted something for free and we recognize that it was about four hours after we ate there but we were calling to let them know and her attitude, just made it worse.
