Phenomenal spot. They have an all day breakfast menu that goes until 5 pm daily, as well as lunch options and dinner entrees. Everything the table had was delicious! I got the chicken and pancakes with baked apples. The pancake was super fluffy and the apple butter was so flavorful. The meal came with two chicken tenders which were pretty juicy. I also got to taste some breakfast potatoes which were super good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Portions were good and our service was event better: Our server Nathaniel was really nice and on top of everything. The food didn't take too long and it all came out hot and fresh. He had no problem splitting checks and making recommendations for nearby attractions. This was a great elevated diner experience. The interior is super cute and casual, while also well decorated.

As always they do not disappoint. BLTA on toasted bread .. plenty of bacon and avocado. I tried the cole slaw today ... kiked the flavor .. mild and not too tangy. The coffee was string but not bitter. The service was fast and friendly.

Tried this place tonight for the first time. Party of 5. Service was AMAZING. Staff was very polite and helpful with recommendations. Food was GREAT, we will be back. We tried the pimento cheese (loved it), barbacoa fries (very good) and the pretzel. Entrees were: meatloaf, fish and chips, chicken sandwich, burger and schnitzel. All were very good! Dessert - we tried the toffee bread pudding. This is the only item I would say was just ok and I probably wouldn't order it again.

We were looking for a new breakfast spot, and Google recommended The Hayden. Our server, Blair was excellent service. We had the meatloaf hash, and the fried chicken and Latke waffle. Food was very tasty and perfectly seasoned. Average cost per plate was 17. Patio seating was dog friendly and the vibe was very hip and chill. Loved everything. Blair kept my coffee cup full.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was quick, the food tasted fresh and absolutely delicious, and everything came out perfectly prepared. Ana took great care of our table and had such a warm, positive attitude that made the meal even better. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.

This visit to the Hayden was truly a blend of a Jewish deli in Texas comfort food. I had matzoh ball soup for the first time and I paired it with the barbacoa grilled cheese sandwich. Both were cooked to perfection. The sandwich was full of meat on Texas toast with perfectly melted cheese. The matzoh ball soup was so good. I'm so glad I tried something new, I highly recommend it. Our service was phenomenal and the specialty cocktails that they serve were fun to try as well. This is such a cute restaurant with an upgraded diner feel and such amazing food.

DELICIOUS! This was my first time eating here and I was IMPRESSED! Blaire was our waitress and service was great! Food was great! The restaurant vibe was so cute! The cucumber soda was good! Try it!!

With this cool weather I HIGHLY recommend the tomato soup, DELICIOUS. It was recently my the waiter who was so sweet. He went through the entire menu, he recommended the Cucumber drink ( can't remember the name) so refreshing. The restaurant have old diner vibes with a store next door. It wasn't packed cuz we went in the beginning of lunch time. It did start to fill up as we enjoyed our lunch

Picture it! Planning my husbands birthday brunch, we wanted something new so of course we look at Yelp for inspiration and we find this amazing place. Located off broadway in Alamo heights. They worked with my reservation issues because I kept changing the number. And they were super sweet about it. The restaurant was busy but the waiter Bill was helpful and attentive. He was on point with refills and checking on us. We had a table of 14 with two kiddos and a lot of food was placed on that table. He kept on cleared plates and restocking our cutlery and napkins. The decor was very modern to me but when I was headed to the bathroom the bar area was clean and efficient. I loved they had a place for a silent auction for the community. The thing you all want to know about, the bourbon berry smash was smashing! Strong, delicious, coy, fruity, I might be buzzed from it. Was perfection. I don't think I could have ordered a better drink before the meal. We had Brussels sprouts, pimento cheese dip, and smoked whitefish dips(times two) as appetizers and it was shareable for the entire table. Each appetizer was big enough to share and was just the right amount for a taste to enjoy with leftovers for those who loved it. I had the bagel and lox, I shared with a table mate who had the meatloaf hash. And dang. Just delicious. The bagel was fresh and toasty with the cream cheese melted just right. Seasoned lox with the veggies. Reminded me of something not found in San Antonio. All in all highly recommend. And hope to be back soonish.

The Hayden was a solid experience. The food was great. I had the chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. Good flavor, cooked well, and filling without being too heavy. Dariel was my server and she was great. Attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out right. I would definitely come back.

This place was packed but thankfully, we had reservations. We waited about 20 minutes before we were seated so we positioned ourselves in their waiting area and grabbed some mimosas. We also waited a bit before our server came to our table but we were not in a rush so it did not bother us too much. Dariel was our server and she did a great job. She was friendly and our orders got to our table fairly quickly. We all enjoyed what we ordered. Pastrami sandwich with garlic potato soup, Ted Danson sandwich, biscuits and gravy and a vegetable omelette. Two of us also had a banana bread espresso martini which was delicious. Parking was tight but we managed to snag a space. I imagine it's always like this on a busy day. All together, we enjoyed the service and we definitely loved the food.

Visited for the first time. The space is quaint and warm. The service is quite friendly. I was with a large party and they not only accommodated us but they were total pros! And the food! WOW! The food! I had the avocado toast with eggs. And it was devine. Everything was made to order and extremely fresh. All the dishes I tasted were nothing less than explosive. The price is equal to the freshness and quality. I can't wait to return.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I ordered the veal Schnitzel with mushroom gravy (Jägerschnitzel) and red cabbage. The red cabbage was also very undercooked and completely lacked flavor. Overall, I personally did not find the food authentic or representative of true German cooking. What truly saved this experience was the outstanding customer service. Our server, Joseph, was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the meal. I also greatly appreciated Mr. Adam, the kitchen manager, who personally came out to discuss my concerns. He handled the constructive criticism with professionalism and openness, and I truly respected the fact that he listened carefully and considered my feedback regarding the sauce.
