Do you like incompetent work? Do you like to be ignored? Do you like your car flooded and destroyed? Then this, folks, might just be the shop for you! I made an appointment to have an estimate for some needed body work on my Tesla in November 2022. I sent some requested Insurance information to a representative at Alioto's named Chiara via email. Drove back from out of town the next month to have the estimate performed. The person performing the estimate made things much harder than they needed to be. Granted that I had several claims that had accumulated over the Covid pandemic timeframe but he wanted me to contact Insurance company and to fix and reassemble my car multiple times because he didn't know how to charge each insurance company for disconnecting the battery of my Tesla. He also said I would need to leave my car in the shop for more extensive estimate if I didn't provide a deposit because he would not put it back together while waiting for parts. He also pushed me to bring the car immediately since he couldn't promise that the shop would be able to take it the following February, which would work better for my schedule. I was a little put off by this but emailed Chiara with more requested insurance information and let her know that I would want to start the repairs the following February based on the lead-time provided and the fact that I was going out of town for quite some time. No email confirmation/reply. At the beginning of the year, I see a news story that 40 Teslas and Porsches were flooded and destroyed at their shop due to a storm! If I had listened to the estimator to leave it there, that could have been my car! Even with this knowledge, I decided that I would try to support them in this trying time so emailed Chiara again a few weeks (end of January 2023) after their shops flooding to let her know that I had a new adjuster for one of the claims and to let me know when I could bring in my car for repair. Again, no email reply so I call Chiara. She says that they will contact the adjuster and should get back to me the next day. She doesn't get back to me the next day. Surprise. Surprise. A week and a half later (early February 2023), the insurance adjuster indicated me that they still did not hear from the shop so I send Chiara an email asking for the status update and indicate that I need to get my car repaired asap. Yep, you guessed it, no reply. Therefore, I finally assumed that they don't want my business even when I tried to support a local shop in news headlines for having 40 expensive cars destroyed at their shop so I start looking for a new body shop. I find one outside of San Francisco about 25 minute drive away and contact them. Wow! What a difference! The communication at this new body shop was stellar; the estimates went smoothly and the repairs look great! For the most part, this new body shop handled everything promptly, professionally and smoothly - unlike the nightmare of my experience with Alioto's. Of course, my nightmare pales in comparison to the Alioto's customers who had their Teslas and Porsches destroyed. read more

The last accident was the worse so there could be residue of something broken that was not noticeable before and during the repair. As we all know that once your car has been hit, it will never be the same. So every time I've notice something strange about my car in the area where it was hit - they responded with concern and quickly try to resolve the problem. Would give them zero stars if I could. My car went in for a fender and bumper repair. The paint job was sloppy, and there was paint missing from my door trim, almost like it was peeled off. So Geico uses this shop, and they said it would be convenient so I figured why not. BAD mistake. Geico has a deal with the shop for a flat rate, and if the repair ends up costing more than the estimate, the shop has to eat it. Well, my car had frame damage that was not apparent and the shop was going to lose money on the job. So... they didn't repair it. When I picked the car up, it was going at about 15 degrees off center. I took it back, they said they re-aligned it, and... it was now going 15 degrees off center. I had insist that they repair the frame, and (Geico guy was laughing at the shop because he knew the shop was going to lose money) finally they did it. When I finally got the car, they had aligned it, but they had brought the specs just barely within tolerance. I suspect they did it out of spite, because with that tolerance, my tires only lasted 10,000 miles. After two sets of tires, I figured out what they did and had get a re-alignment. I would never use this shop again. read more

I'll admit it- this place had me salty after calling me 20 minutes prior to closing about picking my car up. But they completely redeemed themselves, and really do put customers first. This was the place my insurance company recommended to get my car repaired at after a minor accident. I loved the ease of bringing the car in and that the adjuster was great at walking me thru the repairs. I also love that they have Enterprise Rent-A-Car on-site, making it a one-stop shop. I was told the repairs would take several days, and that I would receive a call when it was ready. I like that I was notified both via text and email about my car. On the day that my car was ready, I received a call and a text around 9am saying that it may be ready later that day, but that I would have to wait and they would let me know to come in. The next call/text I received was at 4:42pm, notifying me that the car was done and ready. Since I hadn't heard anything since that morning, I figured there would be a delay. Then I was informed that the shop closes at 5pm. You could imagine my frustration when I actually get to my phone at 5:10pm to find out I have to wait until tomorrow to get my car because they waited to notify me. I contacted both the shop and the adjuster and informed them of my frustration and not wanting to be charged another day for my rental car. Thankfully the shop has great customer service, and was able to take care of the extra day due to the late notification. And my car looks as good as new. I'm glad that this shop was able to work with me and stays true to their customer service, which really goes a long way these days. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that our car was done 6 days later. That is unheard of. I was expecting it to take at least a week and a half. It has taken them 5 months and the car still is not complete. Poor quality of work, put simply the work performed was careless and sub standard, we had a non VW body panel part fitted and once it was replaced with a genuine VW body panel, we are still discovering additional damage on our car.
