they made our getaway easy, and were responsive on minor issues with our condo! we were in the kihei surfside which is in a unique part of kihei, near a great spot for snorkeling and a 22 minute walk along the beach to wailea.

Unit 219's original pipe that needed to be replaced

So very disappointed with Ali'i Resorts. They manage the condo above mine and over the past few years their poor maintenance has caused three leaks from their master bath into mine. This last one was the worst with mold resulting. I was so happy I was here to take care of it and did not have Guests. The other times there had been a leak they "added" a wax ring to the toilet. There were three wax rings and a faulty flange. Had Ali'i done the repairs correctly the two previous leaks, this leak would not have occurred. Thankfully, the Royal Mauian Building manager oversaw what they were doing and insisted they do it correctly. I had someone come out and identify where there was moisture and mold, had it all taken out, treated and repaired. Neither Ali'i nor the owner above us would share in the cost even though it was through their negligent maintenance and previous repairs. I am disappointed with both Ali-i and the "not so good"neighbors above us.

Finished staying at the Royal Mauian in west Kihei. We have vacationed there every time we return to Maui and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The condo is serviced by Ali'i Resorts and we couldn't be more happier. The staff provided all my needs in total preparation for our stay. Making Sure we arrived safely and keeping contact with us upon arrival. I tell you coming to a super clean condo and filled with plenty of everything including plenty of towels and bathroom items. Fully equipped kitchen with a very nice welcome bag makes a long plane trip fade away. The staff is 5 star awesome and there always friendly over the phone and helpful answering all my questions. It's so reassuring knowing AR will take care of my reservations and make my vacation stay a 5 Star great experience. Thank you for your Sevices and hope to see you soon. Cheers

DO NOT rent from this company. We just got completely ripped off! We scheduled a vacation in Kihei for September. Then the Lahaina fire happened.... We were so torn as to what to do. Knowing we were out of the cancellation period, we toyed with the idea of still going since we weren't going to west Maui. Upon communication with the resort we were gaslighted completely and I sent an email two days after the fire broke out with very real concerns about coming and we were told in a return email 'the weather is beautiful here in Kihei. We can't wait to welcome your Ohana'. Our concerns were never regarded and we were told that since the governor said only west Maui was closed, it would be on our dime if we cancelled. Today, after all of our excursions canceled activities, we decided to ask about postponement and again we were gaslighted. No straight answer for anything. So we decided to go to Oahu instead. It's SO disrespectful that we were gaslighted so, and that they obviously care only about money and not the people who are without homes and jobs. I blame myself for not getting insurance on our accommodations but I also think this is the lowest form of humanity. When your neighboring town burns down and you employee tourists to come anyway despite shortages, despite their pain, despite the lack of resources- come lay on our beach and take away from someone who has lost everything. DISGUSTING.

have been home from Maui and my stay at Kihei surfside unit #503 for about 3 weeks now. Rented via Ali'i resorts, llc THere were a few things that my stay left to be desired unfortunately.   To start: The street closures on South Kihei road, in several places at a time, made it impossible to get around.  I gave up at times trying to get to where I needed to get to- and had to cancel some appointments due to it. I think it would have been fair if Ali'i resorts had given me a heads up on this, since apparently (according to their road closure website) you have known this since February of last year (2022)  You should have given me the information at the time of reservation and you should have given me the option to not go during the time when all these road closures are still in affect.  Also, the building across the parking lot from Kihei Surfside is remodeling of  a brand new restaurant, and the trailer in which they threw all their junk was straight across from unit #503.  This made it impossible to rest or take a nap during the day.  Again, Ali'i resorts should have notified me of this prior to me making the reservations.   The fan in the front room has a noise/ hum SO loud , in order to keep my sanity I had to turn it off more then turning it on- in spite of the heat and no air conditioning..  (and I am hard of hearing and it was still way too loud)  THe unit was dusty. Very dusty.  I dusted and cleaned the bar stools underneath, because while sitting on the couch and seeing it , it was gross..  Since I was having friends come over for lunch I did not want to be embarrassed.  I started dusting the coffee tables underneath as well and finally just said "forget it"   As you know I sent you pictures of the broken glass on top of the coffee table upon my arrival.   The bed frame in the unit is awful.  THe legs of it stick out from the bed too much, so it is impossible to walk by it without seriously stubbing one's toes .  The mattress is sunken in and too soft.  THe balcony along the walkway by the front door , the whole length of the building was all ripped up and an ugly site. Who wants to stay in a place so torn up and ugly?  The whole time I was there nobody worked on it, so fixing it  is, or was, certainly not an immediate concern .  Every afternoon the lovely tradewinds come up.  It would blow the curtains in the bedroom windows and the curtains were filthy dirty, too gross to want to touch.  I will leave you a picture here as well. Some of these things I mentioned to you when I was there and you said you would discuss it .  Nothing else was done about it. I am a previous owner of a Kihei Surfside unit.  Normally the units are cleaner than this. Then again, it depends on the management company.  I had a company that did a good job . Had you been my unit manager I would replace you I will post this review on yelp as well, so that other clients may be made aware, since I do think that is what is deserved for people that spend a good amount of money to rent these places ( email was sent directly to Ali'i resorts rentals , llc)

Great service from Ali'i! They offer rental car service too (WikiWiki Rental) with easy pick up/drop off right at airport parking! No shuttle, no overcrowded rental counters. Just a text with parking spot #. Ahhh...great start to a 2 week stay at Makena Surf B304. A friendly greeting at the unit to go over all the goodies was much appreciated. This unit was great for the two of us! We didn't need the 2nd bedroom this visit but enjoyed all the other amenities this unit had to offer. The view was incomparable! Cleaning service was just right. I did bring our own laundry pods, but they supplied about 8; also supplied all paper products, dishwasher pods and Dawn. The unit had drink cooler, beach chairs and umbrella to take to the beach which was just a few steps away. We will return to Makena Surf via Ali'i Resorts! Mahalo nui loa!!

Would I recommend the Koa Resort on Maui? Nope!…read more Here's why. Stayed at the Koa Resort, unit 4G, 3bedroom, 2 bath condo costing ~$721/night for 7 days. The facilities are generally nice and well kept, the location is good for exploring Maui. Our unit though had its problems. The central AC was on the fritz and was in repair transition when we arrived, no notice. Each bedroom had a portable AC unit in it that took up room and was noisy. The resort staff wanted us to let workmen into the condo to do final repairs during our stay. Some of us were quite tired from fatigue from running a marathon the previous day and erratic sleep because of our second big problem. There was a rat in the condo! First signs were evidence of fruit on the counters being chewed and rat turds. Two of our group had seen the rat scurry by out of the corner of their eye, and one had felt it climb over them in the night. We called the resort staff and they sent over a guy who brought over 3 bait traps, 2 for mice (?) and one rat sized. We thought the rat was home basing in one of the owner's closets. So, put the rat trap in that closet and stuffed a towel under the door to trap him inside, if indeed it was in there. We packed most of our food in the refer and cabinets, but unfortunately an avocado was left out one night and was chewed on. Great! In the night, my son heard it digging out the carpet so it could get under his door and into his room. Then felt it crawl over him to get to the window. He waited patiently and actually got a photo of it. Yep, a good size rat. We asked for spring traps and we bought some peanut butter for bait. Mind you the staff never called to see if the bait traps had worked, no follow up. How common is this? Once we had the spring traps, 2 mouse sized and 1 rat sized. Why the mouse traps? We know what a rat is. Baited the rat trap in the afternoon with peanut butter and set it by the stove. Five of us were milling around the condo but not in the kitchen when 10 minutes after setting it, we heard the trap snap. We looked and there the little darling was in the trap, broad daylight. We got it! Should I send them an invoice for de-ratting their condo? We did not get any compensation by the resort for the rat or AC problems, though I did ask for a 10% discount. No such luck. Me thinks this is a common problem there. So, would I recommend the Koa Resort on Maui? Nope!

The photos of this rental did not represent the actual space! Over priced, out dated and unclean! Living room : Had to wash comforter from the second bedroom ( we didn't plan on using ) to cover the very worn sofa, just to relax! One of the two sitting chairs had ice cream or candy stains on the seat ! Kitchen: Was over stocked with unusable cookware- warped frying pans and no baking dishes! Sand flys invaded the counter probably due to the garbage disposal over due for service and the many cockroach traps screamed unwelcome guests would at some point appear! Washrooms : The bathtub was filty dirty and stained, I wouldn't wash my dog in it ! The cabinets were all worn and partial board, totally disgusting!I had to wash the standup shower, sinks and floors before even using! Not to mention the ratty worn out towels that were left to use were awful! Not a hand soap bar to be seen! Only 3 same sample bottle of shampoo, conditioner and body wash was complimentary! The Lanai.. Table and chair set was wobbly, totally garage ! And the not so cute birds that made a nest in the exterior light ( that did NOT work) which my husband had to remove because the property management group did nothing about that after contacting them! We did want to use the lanai to enjoy the beautiful sunsets due to bird poop being present ! so unsanitary! We were expecting a small refund but never did receive a dollar! Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere! So disappointing being our first trip to Maui on our 10th year Anniversary to have it tarnished by money hungry over represented property owners with matching management group! Shame on you all ! We booked through VRBO and stayed 5 nights in unit 311 which has a great ocean view and the sunsets from the lanai are like no other. You might even see some honu (sea turtles) poke their heads up or flick a flipper just beyond the rocks. Most mornings, the local canoe clubs head out early and make a stop in this cove for their morning rituals. Like many condo buildings in Kihei, it is dated, but with good upkeep and maintenance. There are many pluses and some minuses, but again the view is the best. + Location: 20 min drive from Kahului airport and steps from the ocean. + Free parking: If there isn't a hang tag pass in your unit, request one at the lobby office that's open 9am-2pm. + Beach: Family friendly and easily accessible. Most of the lagoon is knee deep and you can wade up to waist deep all the way out to the rock sea wall. If you want waves, go past the rock wall to the other side of the beach. The sun peeks over the building mid-morning. + Pool: Very clean and well maintained. Saw the pool guy every morning skimming debris. 3-6 ft deep. Shower before swimming, Use the pool code to enter and exit. Open 8:30am-8:30pm + BBQ Grills: 3 gas grills by the entrance to the beach for residents use with 2 picnic tables. Saw the staff cleaning them every morning. Look in your unit's kitchen for BBQ tools. + Rooftop access: Another 4 gas grills up top with plenty of tables. Great for stargazing on clear nights. Open 7:30am- 9pm. + Monsoon Bar & Grill: Indian Restaurant right downstairs in the lobby with ocean views. Wall mounted 32" RCA TV in bedroom, but only has Roku you have to log in your own service. + Full Kitchen w/ microwave, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, electric stove, drip coffee maker & pop-up toaster + Clothes Washer & Dryer + Lanai with ocean view. I needed to bake a dinner , so big problem. So begins the problem. That alone is a deal breaker. Photo for bedroom not current. Bed rearranged to lean against on wall for support. The bedroom is now set up so you can only get in on one side. One corner leg is broken off the frame. The bedroom tv now faces the formica sink with the big cigarette burn. So not usable to watch. Only One smoke alarm and no posted taxation certificate so it may not have a STR certificate at all. The answer, move. After a couple phone calls and texts we agreed to pay for the first night. We had no choice. So a 210.00 night with fees for accidental damage , cleaning, air bnb fee, taxes to county, it turned into a 750.00 one night stay. That charge is for a perfect apartment and 1/2 the kitchen was unusable and the refrigerator ran all night. So, very far from what was charged. An Expensive lesson but no way to know till you arrive. First of all the communication is extremely prompt and informative. We stayed at Kihei Beach Resort #605 which is beyond beautiful. Fully stocked and beautifully decorated with all the amenities of home. I would receive emails with the current events and places of interest while I was there. But what put everything over the top is their care and compassion about my Mom when she became ill and our safety during Hurricane Lane. A team came over to help us secure the condo to protect us and the property for the potentially dangerous wind and rain. I had expressed how the flash light batteries were dead and with in 2 hours Peter came by with a working flash light. We had to check out the day the hurricane was supposed to hit and we were concerned we would not be able to fly out due to cancellations of flights. TO make things even more difficult, my 76 year old mother had become very ill and we didn't want to keep her at the airport for hours waiting for a flight. I contacted Viktoria and she promptly returned my call and shared concern for my Mom's well being. Viktoria found another unit for us to stay in until we were able to fly home so that my mom was able to rest comfortably. We were unable to stay in our original unit as another guest had made reservations the day we checked out. The second unit, Kihei Akahi, was also beautiful and was extremely comfortable. Paige and Samantha were constantly checking in on us and making sure everything was ok. I also wanted to mention the regular emails I received updating us on the hurricane situation and what to do, what to take and where to go just in case we were evacuated. Fortunately we were able to get our flight out before any cancellations. We may have only stayed in the other condo for 7 hours, but my mom was able to rest comfortable before taking that long flight home. I just want to say very much Mahalo to the entire team at Sunny Maui Vacations. You all are truly wonderful people who go above and beyond for your guests. Aloha and Mahalo

I say this only to set expectations…read more Worldmark Kihei, with its uber-close walk to a nice beach, has everything you need for your Hawaiian vacation but some folks prefer something more upscale. There were 4 of us on this Hawaiian visit and unusual to me was a decision to cook most meals in the Kihei condo as well as pack lunches in advance to prepare for our days at the beach. For this, the condo was perfect. There are pots and pans, cups and plates, utensils and seasonings. Don't see what you need? Call the front desk and it'll be delivered to you promptly. I was on the 4th floor in a condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and even a Murphy bed in the common space. There was an ample seating area to eat in, space to relax, and a balcony outfitted with table and chairs and a slice of sunset view. Parking (included) was always available in the lot just below where I stayed. There's a pool, kid's pool, and hot tub on-site and they're ample but not if you've grown accustomed to any offered by the major resorts. These are outside in an enclosed area with no views and no charm. I did use the hot tub and appreciated the temperature and its' ample size. My favorite unexpected thing about staying here is that people leave things behind when they depart for home. In the "clubhouse" there was a makeshift wall where people had left beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, and more. Outside, on any random morning, you might find that departing guests have left a stash of groceries they couldn't take with them: loaves of bread, boxes of crackers, frozen waffles, and hunks of cheese. So even though you've made the obligatory Hawaii Costco run when staying in a condo, you might not find much need to go a second time. Across the street is an ABC Store and a snorkel rental spot and the market is a not too distant drive from here. Worldmark Kihei was a good home base from which to explore the western shore of the island and though the drive to some of the island's best beach destinations was over 35 minutes away, there were plenty of less notorious beaches to enjoy in this area for a shorter daily drive. Bottom line? Worldmark Kihei was a perfectly fine, clean, quiet place of lodging for 4 people for 8 nights.

Our unit only had an AC in the living room and just fans for the bedroom and a couple small nightstand cooling fans. We opted to stay in the living room with the pullout bed, which was nice and Chris with the AC as the bedroom was a little bit too warm for our liking. Can't complain the day was awesome. We had designated parking and there was a designated pool that we could use if we wanted to and lots of space to walk around on the grass. Couldn't really ask for more and would probably stay here again. The next time we go to Maui. Our unit did have a messed up dryer so we couldn't dry our clothes using it and had to hang them all and also quite a bit of ants but nothing too concerning overall.

There was sand and hair in the shower, which was not wheelchair or walker accessible. After a 5.5 hr flight, we didn't want to be displaced due to a complaint so I cleaned to the best of my ability. There was no place to hang clothing. When we did notify Vacasa, they said they would give me back the $270 cleaning fee I paid. Vacasa misrepresents the properties, and in my opinion, this was a health risk and consumer fraud case. I will report and provide photos. Bedroom closets were stuffed with miscellaneous items, vacuum, boxes, no room to hang clothing.
