This is for Unit A302. Closer to the road than the pool. From the photos it looked great. Now that we are here it looks like it was staged. The carpet needs a full shampoo as do all the furniture seat cushions. Both sides. All chairs. The oven doesn't work but the burners do, they just don't sit flat but do smoke when turned on. I needed to bake a dinner , so big problem. So begins the problem. That alone is a deal breaker. Photo for bedroom not current. Bed rearranged to lean against on wall for support. The bedroom is now set up so you can only get in on one side. One corner leg is broken off the frame. The bedroom tv now faces the formica sink with the big cigarette burn. So not usable to watch. The cubboards and closets are full of old left behind gear, umbrellas, toys and water bottles. The other closet door is on a slide and stuck. Full of extra wall pictures , a fan, a Lamp and a ladder. The very dated bamboo tables under glass tops look like they never have been wiped down. So a layer of dirt on your finger is the test. Only One smoke alarm and no posted taxation certificate so it may not have a STR certificate at all. The answer, move. After a couple phone calls and texts we agreed to pay for the first night. We had no choice. So a 210.00 night with fees for accidental damage , cleaning, air bnb fee, taxes to county, it turned into a 750.00 one night stay. That charge is for a perfect apartment and 1/2 the kitchen was unusable and the refrigerator ran all night. So, very far from what was charged. An Expensive lesson but no way to know till you arrive. My other nine days were refunded with an apology. Because they had no alternate stay to offer and the condition and unusable oven. We Booked another $4K stay in Kihei and asked for a refund for this joint. I let the after 5 pm night operator know an hour after i opened the door. This has never happened in many years of travel. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES STAY HERE!!!!!It's really upsetting. My last day here I couldn't even enjoy it. I reported the broken screen and odor on my FIRST day. The issue was not corrected, nobody showed up, texted or called. They claim there was no issues instead of apologizing they say they have nothing to apologize for. I have screen shots of the calls and concerns and I experienced a significant insect infestation in the room that affected my sleep and comfort on the last day and the ac wasn't even working. Their dirty sofa had something that bit me 20 minutes after I sat down. They replaced my room after I had a panic attack....The replacement room was clearly in MUCH better condition, which confirms the original room had issues. The guy STEVE said that clearly I was the one with the issues for not calling them all week since... he REFUSED to help. I was able to put my screen door up but I told them it was still broken. I would leave daily to enjoy the island sometimes out for over 10 hours so by the time I came back their office had closed. The maintenance guy told me they all knew about the stench and odors in the room and the wetness that attracted the insects but they still put me in there. I think it's a racial thing because I saw the other guests and they clearly had better rooms!! I would leave ZERO stars if I could because they refuse to apologize and take accountability. This is beyond disgusting and my friend found MOLD actual mold in his pillows where he is staying he has a baby and he also got bug bites. DISGUSTING and unprofessional they ruined my vacation. I am going to make a big deal now because they REFUSED ANY ACCOUNTABILITY not even a breakfast in the house. They ruined our last moment in Maui. Horrible customer service horrible experience to say the least!!!! AWFUL!!!! I spent 3 HOURS cleaning and spent a lot of money to buy supplies he didn't reimburse and I also told him the floors were so dusty my feet turned black. Screen door never was fixed and the bugs came in and I think sofa had bed bugs because I was bit right when I sat down. DISGUSTING!!!! There's also roaches! I stayed in A306... my friend stayed in 511 his pillow had mold we have photos. The room smelled so horrible I had to call health department because it smells like dead carcass. The maintenance guy sprayed the entire room with bug spray and my aunt got intoxicated nauseated and dizzy. It's not until I called health department that they actually apologized but by then the damage has been done. A/C doesn't work, turns off every 4 hours wakes you up as you're sleeping to turn it back on. So many issues from the kitchen faucet handle breaking off, sub-par decor, rather depressing interior. I would recommend staying in S. Kihei as I am from there. read more

A-117 has been great for us! It's an older unit, feels very 80s with the carpet inside and it's a little dark but the patio has a view of the pool and part of the ocean. The bedroom window is in the hallway/elevator area and I was worried about noise but the a/c unit noise blocks it out and people seem to be respectful of the quiet hours. Overall We've loved our stay and all the amenities of Maui sunset. A few highlights: watching the sunset every night The hot tub The gym with sauna Doing Yoga on the lawn/beach - there was also a yoga class going that looked like community yoga you could join Pickleball courts 2 min walk around the corner! Husband who is big into pickleball has been loving that They have rental gear and tours to book on site. Only con we've experienced so far- We got some snorkel equipment and it was pretty bad, the bag was missing googles in one and we didn't see that until getting 15 mins south to the beach we wanted to go to, and the other one had a hole in the breathing tube so it was unusable, they did give us our money back thankfully. We really loved staying at Maui Sunset. I was a little nervous because the buildings don't look too appealing and the pictures of the condo we stayed at A306 were different that what we saw when we got there, but in a GOOD WAY. Everything was very clean and well kept. In our condo, the little benches for sitting at the counter and the big lounge chair are a little old and faded BUT the good thing was that they weren't ripped or ugly, just old. It is so close to town and Kalamala Village shops, food truck heaven and the beach. The pool was beautiful, clean and they event offer rentals at the pool for water activities. It was very peaceful, no one bothered you and its attached to Waipuilani Park which is right on the water. WARNING: and this is more-so to be careful how we visit the island and our impact as humans. while the beach is beautiful, It looks like a coral reef graveyard. Most of the "rocks" on this beach are parts of coral. There is also a walk way that we saw people walking into the middle of the ocean and when we walked over, thinking it was a sand bar, it was a dead area of what was a coral reef. I read that there was a reef around Kihei that had erosion and was being destroyed by invasive algae. It's beautiful to walk on the sand and just sit, relax and read. we would love to stay here again. read more

Found this place off online research and checking Yelp reviews. Glad we did. It's a great alternative to the big hotels. This was exactly what we wanted. It's low key away from Lahaina, which you can easily drive to, but offers everything you need for a relaxed stay. Wish I knew about the in unit washer/dryer so we could've collectively packed less. The room itself has a full kitchen, which made for an easy stay with dishwasher and closet full of board games, cooler (we bought one with, not knowing) and more. We hit up Costco from the airport after picking up the rental car and had water bottles for our cooler on outings and breakfast in our room a la Costco for the week. Pool chairs and check are hosed off and wiped down by staff every morning and our balcony view of the ocean was great. My son lamented on the sad looking gym but I told him people don't come to Maui to hit the gym. What I didn't like was the the rooms had no shampoo, and front desk wasn't helpful on that. But that is a minor hiccup. Easier to make a run to Target but harder with a couple kids in tow, or a larger group, when you're trying not to double back, etc. Will definitely come back to stay again in the future. read more

There are Pros and Cons to the Maui Sunset yet fundamental to any condo hotel or timeshare in maui is having clean bedding free from previous guest urine, sweat, and even blood stains. After three days we decided to wash the sheets in the master bedroom and the pull out couch and we were disgusted by housekeeping and management allowing the urine and sweat stained pillows and mattress covers to remain on the beds after multiple guests stay. We asked for clean pillows and bedding and they couldn't accommodate until the next day. I've been coming to Maui and staying at the Maui Sunset for as long as I can remember. Mainly because my grandmother loves this place and is partial owner of a timeshare. This place offers the perfect low key getaway with a very nice quiet island vibe. The interior of the rooms are very spacious. The showers are a bit small and the living room can use a bit of upgrading. The facilities are great. Nice gym, tennis court and pool areas. Most importantly, a well maintained lawn on the whole property makes it nice to walk all the way out to the beach with no shoes needed. Did I mention the sunsets are pure gold here! We like to visit my hometown every year. We decided to book with Maui Sunset as they could accommodate my family size. With that being said, upon booking Steve was aware of the number of people in my party then he used it against me in his review. He also wanted to schedule a cleaning of the sofa bed (due to it being dirty from prior guests) during our stay which I was not comfortable with. I did request a refund without taking a look at how dirty the sofa was due to the fact that my child has severe asthma and they were not being transparent on the severity. The upholstery cleaning should've been taken care of prior to our arrival. The above unit had a significant leak from the air conditioning which puddled the balcony making it unable to use. Steve went on to say that the wet lanai does not limit the use of it. The lack of concern for our children's safety is unacceptable. The place and location were great but working with Steve was not easy. I do not and will not recommend booking his unit(s). Pono ʻole! read more

We stayed in a two bed and restroom for a family of four for five days. The rooms have starting kitchen supplies with in unit washer and dryer. Plenty of parking with location great spot on the beach with shore access. Also walking distance or short drive to nearby grocery store and restaurant. My family was able to wake up with beach view and sunsets on clear days. The facility has pool access which is clean and disinfect daily with different outdoor games to rent on site. You access to outside showers when you walk the beach or the pool area. Overall would recommend this place and location to friends. Four of us (two couples) stayed for a week at Maui Sunset. There was a lot to like about it and a few things that could certainly make a stay five stars. **Condo good: The condo was nice. The kitchen had been upgraded with new countertops and stainless steel appliances. Everything in the kitchen was great. The washer and dryer were clean and worked great. There were plenty of beach toys/supplies for us to use. The TV in the living room was a Smart TV. The small "gym" on the first floor was serviceable. **Condo bad: No TV in the 2nd bedroom. There were six patio chairs, but only two had cushions. No soap in either shower, only hand soap for the sinks. A/C units were all on 4 hour timers. Although we found some clever work-arounds to keep them on longer (wink, wink). Not nearly enough toilet paper was supplied for four adults for a seven day stay. New mattresses in both bedrooms and the murphy bed are needed soon. Our balcony offered a better view of the street than the ocean, but not all of the units can be ocean front. **The Grounds/Pool: Excellent. The grounds crew were constantly working to keep everything in pristine condition. Six community Weber gas BBQs were a great amenity and kept very clean. The pool/hot tub area was kept immaculate by the hard working crew. The water was always perfectly warm and sparkling blue. The bathrooms at the pool area were always spotless. Tennis courts and shuffleboard were very well kept also. The beach is just a short stroll across the grass. The complex is located within walking distance of a few restaurants and bars and the quaint Kihei Craft Fair. A $5 or $6 Uber can take you to even more. The sunsets are epic!! All things considered, the four of us were quite pleased with our accommodations. (Add that TV to the 2nd bedroom). read more

The view from our 3rd floor balcony was about the only nice thing about this place. That's sad considering we were told we upgraded to a better space (not sure why...perhaps overbooking of 1st/2nd floor spaces). First, the place was not clean...looks like only a quick cleaning is ever done as you can see buildup of dirt and gunk all over. The floor had several stains, dishes in the cabinets were not clean, the fridge and freezer were also dirty. The sheets were clean, but one had a hole in it. We saw bugs inside daily. Ants and several different critters were spotted and killed on a daily basis. The balcony furniture is also very run down. The chairs were stacked left inside for some reason. When moving outside and unstacking, I noticed one was heavily damaged and probably would have collapsed if I'd sat on it! All of the chairs had significant wear, with jagged edges showing. It was obvious that this was known to the owners as there was duct tape applied at one point to try to cover it up! An odd thing with the washer and dryer was that the washer was about half the size of the dryer (don't forget to buy your laundry detergent). You also can't use the washing machine when you are not there due to property policy, but the washer is ridiculously loud! So don't count on watching tv or taking a nap/siesta and washing a hiking clothes from the morning. Lastly, the air conditioners are plugged into outlet timers. Unfortunately, these timers last only 4 hours. This becomes a problem at night and early morning as the A/C shuts off and the bedroom heats up, causing us to wake up in a pool of sweat! The A/C was also the only thing to drown out the noise, as our 'upgraded' room was next to an exit door and trash shoot and a family of chickens on the other side of the parking lot. Been to Kihei 3 times, this was easily the worst. read more

Found a great deal on Orbitz with a 20% off coupon ($854/total for 4 nights) for a Premium 1 bedroom with a partial ocean view. (We booked 2-3 months in advance) Super spacious with a great view of the BBQ area and ocean to our right. The grounds are impeccably clean and lots of friendly retired folks enjoying their well-deserved rest. Quiet and very comfortable with plenty of parking and a great location. We used the full kitchen one night to prepare steaks and found it very convenient to have plenty of pans, kitchen utensils, plates and silverware. We just needed to bring our own oil, butter, etc. Also appreciated all of the beach and shower towels available. We went down to the beach for a swim but the sand was super rocky and painful so we settled for the pool, which was fantastic. I don't think the beach here is meant for swimming... The staff is also very accommodating. We were able to do late check out with no problem. Overall, highly recommend! Note: If you're checking in on a weekend, don't freak out that the office isn't open. We enjoyed our stay at the Maui Sunset. I'd say it comes out as a solid 3 for us based on the unit we were in. Our unit was somewhat dated, but it was nice to have a closet full of things you might want to take to the beach (like chairs, coolers, a boogy board...obviously this would vary by unit). Each unit has a private balcony and also washer and dryer, which was great. The grounds are very well maintained with grills available and a very nice pool and hot tub. There is also a small gym and tennis courts available. Parking is free and the property does have a beach, although it gets a lot of wind. As the name of the property implies, you can witness some beautiful sunsets. We were very close to stores as well as some nice snorkeling and swimming beaches. There is nothing bad to say about this place! Location is perfect, it's beautiful & everything is within arms reach. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful and the landscaping is gorgeous. We loved how close the grocery stores and restaurants were and how we were able to do water activities just a few steps from our condo. They have rentals for just about everything in the pool area. We rented paddle boards for a few hours and thought about giving tennis a go but didn't have enough time. There is also yoga on Wednesday's and Sundays so ask about that as well. 1979 MAUI, HAWAII How can I ever forget this resort. It was where we spent our honeymoon almost 40 years ago! During our stay, we took off our watches and just did whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. It was paradise! One morning, we got up, went to the beach only to find out later that it was 4 AM! Years later, we came back to Maui and brought our two sons who were young adults at the time. My mother-in-law gave us this timeshare for our honeymoon. It was here that we became hooked on timesharing. She later sold us a week in Nassau, Bahamas for less than $3000. From that time on, we ended up buying for more weeks and have traveled the world! The resort was new at the time. I remember two buildings built at an about 60 degree angle from each other facing the ocean. In the middle was the pool area. Maui is enchanting. We took the road to Hana which then was completely a dirt road. Actually we never made it to Hana then. We went to the Haliakala Crater to see the sunrise and of course, went to a luau. We were given a coupon book and I remember going to every place in the book to get the freebies and discounts. Upon our return home, our suitcases were filled with macadamia nuts, Hawaiian neck ties (straight from the factory)...We also got free pineapple from the pineapple plantation which we couldn't take back home because we ate it on the spot. Since our honeymoon we have returned to Maui twice and can never get enough of it! read more

This condo was in a decent location with a beautiful sunrise and sunset. We also were able to walk down to the beach and see sea turtles at dusk. BUT we had ants in our condo, the AC is on 4 hour timer so get ready to get very hot in the middle of the night, and they apparently have semi permanent guests that leave stuff in your room. We had some stranger barge in our room saying "I usually stay here and need to get some stuff" as he dug through the closet by the front door. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

There are many pros and cons to staying at the Maui Sunset. THE CONS: I will start out by saying the housekeepers do a very poor job at cleaning. It was the absolute bare minimum. It is noticeable from the second you enter the door. Dirt was gathered up behind the door and along the edges of the entry way. The carpet needs to be steam cleaned. It was matted down and dirty and the patio windows had hand prints all over the glass from the previous guests. The pull-out bed on the couch is completely sunken in, probably hasn't been replaced in 30 years. You can't move or roll over without the springs screeching. There are tons of crumbs lined in the grooves in the kitchen table and the coffee table underneath the glass. It was not just a speck or two, looks like it has never been cleaned before. The toilet paper rolls were less than half upon arrival. Literally, down to the last 30 squares. Housekeeping does not replace them with fresh rolls which is absurd. Even Motel 6 replaces toilet paper rolls before the new guests checks in. The air conditioner shuts off every 4 hours, so you have to constantly reset the timer. It is very inconvenient when you wake up in the heat in the middle of the night. Lastly, they need to repaint the shuffle board courts. You cannot read the numbers at all. They are scratched off. THE PROS: The pool, on the other hand, was spotless and the workers do an excellent and extensive cleaning process every morning. We watched it from our balcony every morning from 7 am- 8 am. I wish management cared as much about the cleanliness inside the condos. They light the tiki torches every night around the pool and it closes at 10 pm which was very nice. The outside grounds is very kept up and really pretty. They do a great job on the scenery and you can tell a lot of effort is put into it. The tennis courts and the pickle ball courts are in great condition and it's nice to use the equipment at ease. The women in the activity center are very friendly and informative. The fridge, the freezer, the washing machine and the dryer are all in good working condition. I liked how there are good basic amenities to use like a coffee pot and a crock pot. The closet is full of 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, snorkel gear, pool noodles, and boogie boards. Very helpful for beach days! There are also lots of games in the towel closet to play. The smart TV is very new so you can watch tv or Netflix or sign in to Amazon prime which was perfect. Anyways, to make my point... Yes, these condos are half the price of staying in Wailea... but keep in mind that you get what you pay for, and it shows! read more

Our closest family and friends pooled together to send us on a honeymoon here. The condo we stayed in on the 5th floor was very nice. Everything was new and updated and had everything we needed (washer, dryer, kitchen items, beach umbrella and chairs, etc.). The beach area near the condos has a lot of rock and coral so we didn't swim there (or really even hang there) which was a little disappointing, but also made us explore the island to find other beaches. The sunsets also for some reason weren't super great, but that could have been the weather. The sun did set over part of a mountain with wind turbines which also made it less picturesque than when it sets on the Hawaiian waters. Around sunset a lot of people come out to the grass area and many bring dogs, which is pretty fun and has a community feel. We didn't go in the pool or hot tub but saw people cleaning it everyday. A bar at the pool would be a nice future touch ;) The condos are about 1/2 miles from a lot of good restaurants and businesses, however there isn't a sidewalk the whole way there so makes walking kinda sketchy, especially at night. read more

We stayed in Maui for 8 days for the 2nd part of our honeymoon. This was our first visit to Maui/Hawaii. I was a little skeptical after reading bad reviews online..I should have just came to YELP FIRST! When we pulled into the parking lot I was really disappointed thinking I was going to really not like this place. We were too early so they wouldn't let us check in. So we drove around the area to find out what was around us, etc. We came back to check in and again, I was still a little nervous after pulling into the parking lot--you just have to remember you are pulling into the BACK of the condos. It felt like we were pulling into the Days Inn at first. We checked and finally got to our room. We opened the door and we both were in complete shock! This places is absolutely gorgeous! WE LOVED IT!!!!!! Our condo was flawless! It was clean, well-maintained and decorated very nicely! It felt very homey and warm. Then to step out on the balcony and see the beautiful surroundings just topped off the stay. The grounds are manicured so perfect we called it the "Brady Bunch Grass". Theres so many fun things to do here. Tennis courts, shuffleboard and a well taken care of pool. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The closests were stacked with things for us to use, including swimming fins, pool toys, coolers and games and tons of other things. The kitchen had everything you would ever want to use. We had a little mishap..while we were there.. I'm still going to give it 5 stars though because it's truly amazing. The second day we we there..they closed the freaking pool! AHM HELLO...I'm in Hawaii! Water, sun..FUN! You aren't allowed to swim on the beach at these condo's so you have to rely on the pool or nearby beaches. We got no warning..just..boom..pool closed..I wanted to cry..The same day...they closed the elevator! WE were three floors up! This is one of my favorite places to stay in Maui. The rooms are huge, and are basically single bedroom apartments. They have full kitchens, washer and dryer in room, 2 bathrooms, etc. They DO NOT have daily room cleaning or room service, both of which I rarely use, so it is no problem for me. The facilities are clean, the pool is nice the beach is a short walk away and the prices are good. Highly recommended if you want to stay in Kihei. read more

On March 14, 2020 - My wife and I called Maui Sunset Vacation Rentals to see if they had availability. The representative we spoke to said they did and they were running a special. She did not mention that the special was non-refundable even after we told her the dates we were interested in booking and given the Covid-19 situation going on by then. Instead of booking with her over the phone, she suggested booking online using their website. We booked our March 23-29 stay using their website at the special rate the representative referred us to, for a total of $1478.33. Nowhere during the booking process was it made clear the stay was non-refundable, if we had seen a non-refundable warning, we wouldn't have booked do to the uncertain travel situation with Covid-19 and. On March 19, 2020 - California went under Lock down AFTER we made the reservation, residents were ordered to Stay-at Home. On March 21, 2020 - Hawaii went under Quarantine AFTER we made our reservation and BEFORE our scheduled arrival date at Maui Sunset Vacation Rentals on of March 23, 2020. On March 21, 2020 - We cancelled our reservation with Maui Sunset given that the Governor of California shutdown the state. I spoke to Carrie, at Maui Sunset, about receiving a full refund and she said then that the rate was non-refundable, and we could either stay with Maui Sunset before Dec 2020 with a 6 night credit, or get 50% refund. I explained that we were unable to travel due to the Covid-19 situation. I told Carrie I wanted a full refund. To make matters more difficult on March 22 Southwest Airlines cancelled our flight to Hawaii due to the shutdowns that were occurring in California and the quarantine measures now in place in Hawaii. I sought a full refund due to the extenuating circumstances in this situation. First no indication was provided on the booking website that the reservation was non-refundable and second we have no idea when or if we can travel to Hawaii given the unknowns in the travel/tourist industry today. I opened a BBB complaint: 14355312. In that complaint, Mr. Steve Meyer, President of Maui Sunset said he had refunded the full amount back to our credit card. I indicated that I would close the BBB complaint once I confirmed the refund. I spoke with credit card dispute department today and she stated that no refunds have been received. In fact when the credit card company requested the "chargeback" from Maui Sunset it was denied. Mr. Meyers stated that the terms and conditions made it clear that the rate we were booking was non-refundable. However, I have screen shots of the terms and conditions I reviewed on the booking site and no where in those terms and conditions does it mention the non-refundable nature of the 20% special they were running. Have stayed here (1 bdrm, premium oceanview) back in 2004 and really enjoyed it. Stayed here Nov 21-29 in a 1 bdrm, premium oceanview room). Room #: 414 (1Bdrm Premium OceanView) Grounds: Beautiful Beach: Beachfront Arrived here at 9:30am and thought our condo would be ready since we arrived from Oahu pretty early. Nope. Had to wait until 3:00pm because it took a while for the maid to clean up the room. I think the front desk staff could be a little nicer. The room is really nice, except for the little ants crawling around the kitchen and the shower curtain smelling like a wet rag that hasn't been washed in a while. Plus, we had people making banging noise in the condo above us before 8am! Quiet time at the condos is between 10pm-8am. There is also no smoking on the lanais, but yet there were guests who didn't give a crap about the rules. So, here we are a day before we are to check out. Went to the front office to see if we could check-out later since our flight wasn't until 7pm. Front office told us to call Jackie since they don't deal w the reservation. What?! We called Jackie. She gave us every excuse in the book (ie bedroom furniture being put in, fixing stuff, etc) to not allow us a late check-out. She said we could hang out at the pool. We would still have to take a shower before our 9-hr flight! What does she say? Oh." No apology, nothing. What irritates me is that we had to be patient in waiting for our room to be ready when we arrived to check in,, and yet they couldn't be a bit accommodating due to our late flight. Talk about the lack of customer svc. I've stayed here several yrs ago and really enjoyed it, but will NEVER stay here again. Don't know what's changed, but I'll stay elsewhere from now on. read more

I'm here now. This vacay was supposed to be last year. Well, we all know that story. With the many covid restrictions we still came. Need some Aloha spirit. Were loving the amenities. What we don't love is the old guy that is rude. We call him Srgt. DOWNER. WE CAN SEE THE POOL FROM OUR ROOM AND APPARENTLY. EVERYONE ELSE BUT US CAN HAVE THEIR FEET IN THE JACUZZI BUT US. I'm gonna start documenting. I understand rules but Downer mullet has different rules for different days. Send him to charm school and remind him he is in the hospitality business. Words can describe how amazing this place is. The accommodations were first class. The place was spotless with all the bells and whistles. We spent 6 nights here overlooking the bright beach and wonderful sunset. Everything was within walking or driving distance. I would highly recommend staying at this location for your next vacation! read more

Don't ever stay at main sunset condos. There is a bunch of old people who live there and when quiet time is at 10 they'll call security at 10:01. All these old white people who buy condos think they own the whole property and the land with it. I had to walk around my apartment like I was walking on egg shells. Room 404 (I'm sure some condo owner) literally called security everyday. We were not loud at all, he just could hear our door opening every soo often and called security everytime. I was trying to have an important conversation (not loud at all) with my gf and he would call security or even come out to the front door and complain. Seriously entitled people own condos here and it's an unpleasant stay since your not allowed to enjoy any time with friends, or loved ones . Worst stay I've ever had. Haole central worst place to stay for locals especially because the owners just stare at you the whole time your around. Yes I'm renting a room that's why I get pool access! Asshole! This was a great choice for my wife and I to stay during our first trip to Maui. We really liked the low key vibe of Kihei and aren't the type to need turndown service. We got a great deal on a 5th floor, premium view, renovated condo that had a lot of space and plenty of amenities. These condos are rented out by services, as well as by the people who live there (who were all very nice, saying hi and making friendly conversation in the elevator). If you're autonomous and like an affordable, well-equipped condo centrally-located, you can't go wrong here. Oh, and the water-pressure is legit! Bed's comfy too. read more

This is an OKAY place. It's not updated (at least not the unit that I was staying in). It's not off the beach as it appears to be, there is a nice view of the ocean from the property. I can say that they tried to address my concerns. The shower appeared to be dirty but it is just old. It's pretty spacious. We didn't stay in the room much so we just dealt with it read more
