So the first time i came here, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. I was expecting like an actual grilled chicken breast with mayo, lettuce, tomato, thats not what i was given but it turned out to be delicious. The waffle is pretty good and their lemon pepper wings are aaamazing!! The only thing i do not like is their grilled chicken salad. Its just saucy chicken on top of lettuce and it was so hot the lettuce was soggy. I would only come back for breakfast or wings. Inside is small but has some seating areas, and a bar like table top. Popped in here to grab breakfast for the Family based off of my Son's suggestion. It's a small place located not far from downtown Plainfield. It's a no frills location with the typical "Chicken Shack" look. The staff handled multiple orders well without making mistakes. I didn't see them write anything down, they just took peoples complex orders & kept it moving. The food was very good. I watched them make it, & they are NOT shy when it comes to butter. I LOVE THAT! I am not one of those people that will ever say "hold the butter," or "light on the butter." They make everything in butter, lol....& I support that. They are Halal, so there is no pork on the menu, so if you're looking for bacon, you can only get Turkey bacon. We had the French toast w/Beef sausage. Waffle w/Beef sausage, & two orders of Chicken & Waffles. All of the food was good, the chicken are chicken tenders, definitely gotta deduct a star for that, Yes, just for that. Why? So granted this is a convenient food spot that is open late, and offers a decent range of food. The food doesn't have much flavor and is bland in my opinion. I just go for the wings. There is no good wing spot in the area. Granted these are giving Italian herb and not lemon pepper, but that's not my main concern. My issue with this place is their non compliance with OSHA and food safety. I watched the cooks collect money, raw palm some mozzarella sticks to put in the deep frier, scratch his head and cook without wearing gloves nor washing their hands in between. This is a simple hole-in-the-wall 24-hour diner by the downtown of Plainfield. We ordered a few items, including pancakes, waffles, turkey bacon, eggs, and teriyaki wings. The food is nothing special but it is quite cheap. The interior space is limited and not the cleanest, though we had come in before dawn so it might be nicer in daylight hours. It was a little hard to talk with the staff and understand the menu, but otherwise the service was efficient.
